LB - maybe it's something in the air b/c I am struggling today too. A friend who knows my struggles just emailed me this exact quote...
"my bump is perfect, heartbeat perfect, gained 14 lbs, it's a boy..." the evil side of me who knows b/c she told me even while trying to conceive she so wanted a girl...part of me is happy she didn't get everything...then of course I feel guilty and terrible...this is just hard...
A friend here is reading the Secret and my acupuncturist recommended it. I'm going to give it a try...as well as some cd's my other friend recommended called "Think Right Now" - the anxiety cd. My friend swears it helped her recover when she delivered at 20 weeks and lost her baby boy...

Some days are harder than others...

Hi!

I hope I can join your thread. In January I was left heartbroken with a BFN for my 2nd IVF attempt.

We have given up hope yet and are going to start our 3rd IVF attempt when AF starts around 2/21.

Has anyone done 3 fresh IVF attempts? Success??

With the first IVF, out of 7 fertilized embies I had one "A" 5-day blast and one "B" transferred - chemical preg. This one in January had the same 7 fertilized, but not good quality. 3 were transferred on day 5: BFN. Ugh!

We're hoping for better quality this time. I'm not sure what, if anything, I can do differently to help the outcome of egg quality? Any suggestions? (I did the pineapple before/after ET).

Thanks and baby dust to everyone!

Sorry that I haven't posted in a few days. i have bronch and sinus issues have missed work for the past 3 days.

I need to vent cause I am so upset. Friend (one of the few that know we're interested in IVF) no one knows we've started. Told me that i should call my doctor because I have been moodie- (big fat low blow) Hello- I had a root canal 2 weeks ago and develped an infection and hav broncitis this week with sinusitis as well. Can I get some compassion. Can't I be a ***** one day wihtout being told to contact my doctor??? Is this going to be the "token" response???

I wanted to say you haven't seen nothing yet, i'm only on bcp- shots start next week!!!

kimber312 - that is ridiculous! Of course you can vent. I am sorry to hear you are going through so much. A root canal is horrid! That alone is tough to deal with, let alone your sickness. You aren't being moody, you are just dealing with a lot right now. And, throw an IVF cycl on top of all that and it is really tough. I hope you feel better soon!

I really don't know what to say about dealing with friends getting pregnant. I am taking a sewing class right now and last week one of the girls brought in her baby because her husband was delayed at work and couldn't watch her. I was fine about that. I like to pretend that maybe they conceived through IVF and I felt very happy for her. Last night, she came in alone and told the teacher she is expecting again. I don't even know this woman but I have to say, it bothered me to hear she was going to have another baby. She's a stranger and I was so jealous.

J. Lo's dad just confirmed she is having twins. It is every where!
(Although, I feel happy for her because I feel she used IVF. Just a hunch though. Whatever gets be through the day..)

Cheryl010120 - Welcome to the board!

I hope this posts. I still can't see any additional posts until I log in to reply. Then I have to scroll and see what I missed. Is anyone else still having this problem?

I am officially having a bad day. It is very hard to keep up appearances and to stay positive all of the time throughout this process.

I feel that as soon as I start to show signs of being normal- not superhuman- everyone begins to judge and throw stones. Just because I don't share that I am doing IVF is a means for everyone to give medical advice. PPl see a 30 yar old without kids and immediately question why. Just now I was told that i should try charting my cycle since it worked for "her"

Umm... I never thought of charting. It never occured to me to do that!!! What is wrong with all the doctors I have seen? They have never suggested that.

If only it was that simple. Sorry for the frustration, but I feel I am on an episode of the Twilight Zone.

Hi Girls ~

Maybe we should start a new thread?? This site is CRAZY! I am also having probs reading everyone's posts.

Kate ~ So glad to hear AF came. My RE has told me though that spotting doesn't count, but I have also heard that it does, who knows?! I have had cysts before and know that sometimes that can delay an IVF cycle, but hopefully yours will just go away, especially if it is small.

Kimbers ~ You poor thing!! I hope you feel better soon! Tell that girl to go to h%&$!!!! :) You have every right to vent and can totally see why you are upset. Take care!

Chery ~ Welcome! I don't have any good advice as this is my first cycle. Have you switched RE's? That would be my only suggestion.

Hope everyone else is going well.

Maybe we should start a calendar like I've seen on other threads that charts our progress?

Everyone let me know where they are at in the process and I can start that......

Hi Everyone,
It looks like everyone on this site is having problems. I don't know if starting a new thread will help. It looks like people might be experiencing problems there. There are a lot of duplicates out there. I wonder who monitors this site for maintenance.

jen8675309 - I think a calendar is a great idea! I am getting kind of confused about where everyone is. I go in for my first bloodwork on Friday and start Lupron hopefully on Saturday, 2/9. I can't wait!

Happy thoughts to all. I hope this is a better day for everyone!

I can't see the new thread either. Maybe that's why there are so many duplicates. Maybe some can see it and others can't?

I just posted on another thread and still got the "Debug_Mode" error but it went through.

When I look at this thread on the menu, the last post I can see without logging in is yesterday's post by RunnerKate. Is that what everyone else sees?

This is so frustrating. I also tried to start a new thread for us, but can't find it. Now, I have no idea what's posting or not or where...

Anyway, I'll give you an update and hope that it makes it. I started my Lupron today and I have to make a confession. I didn't really and truly believe you gals when you said that the shots didn't hurt. Well, I stand corrected. I absolutely did not feel anything! (whew!) Guess I should have more faith. Now that the first one is overwith I'm ready to rock and roll. I had to correct my dates....ER & ET are both tenatively scheduled for the week of 2/20 - 2/25.

I hope you all have a great day!

Cathann - Congratulations on your first Lupron injection!!! I am glad it went so well for you!

Should we all just continue with this thread until it gets fixed? I have tried to clean all of my history in case it was a personal issue but that didn't work and I can't find an administrator on this site so I have no idea if it is even being monitored. How frustrating.
