Steph
I have suggested Chantix and that would suggest that he would have to go to the doctor. Men are horrible about that. DH has a seizure disorder as well so when I first started dating him for the first couple of years I had to actually train him to take his medicine so that he would not have seizure. Now, knock on wood he has not had one in over a year and ahalf, but his doc wants him to go for a sleep disorder scan because they are thinking that they are related to lack of sleep but his doc suggested that a year a go and he has yet to go. I had to almost pull him by his ear just to go to the neurologist to get another MRI to make sure nothing new has popped up.

Angie,

I totally know what you are saying but I just needed to vent. I know he is never going to quit until he wants to so maybe if I don't say anything he will quite if he ends up in the hospital or something. I don't know what is going to give him that push but I guess I will just have to wait for it and hope that IVF w/ICSI is our savior. Oh and you are doing so well I am proud of you for sound more positive.

Beach, i am glad you are getting closer to your 20 week scan. I love to shop for baby stuff. One day i will get there.

Shantala, Lara, Su and Nims how are you feeling?

I have a question....on the "list" under the baby on board part....who is JS 39879581092?? I was looking at the dates, shouldn't the kid be born yet? I'm confused, she doesn't love us anymore to let us know or what? I was just wondering as I was going through the list to see where people are!

Sweet, Jayne is gonna bring the economy back in action in a few short weeks haha. I can't believe you haven't bought A THING!!! Come on, fess up!

Angie! hi ya. I dunno if it is PMA or just delusions of grandure at this point.

Beck- go with the closer job girl!!!! Time is MONEY!!!!

Where is Mia- she's quiet...must be off reading a book or somethin....oh wait no you are out finding a box of chocolates huh? Eating em all? Have you thought of your "plan" to tell him yet?

AAAHHHH Steph- totally understandable!!! Chantix probably isn't the best thing either then if he has seizures...and shhhhh I'm only telling you here and not typing loud enough for him to hear but quitting smoking has to be a slow go thing too so as not to precip seizures...depending on why he has them of course!

I'm gonna go get me some leftovers :D Including molten lava cake yummy!!!

Hi girls, just checking in.

Stephjim, is your day any better?

I'm tired. I had to get up at 4:00 am so that I could shower and get to the dr.'s office and then back to work by 8:00am. These dr. visits are exhuasting me. They just checked progesterone today.

It is getting better. I am just going to start motivating myself with stuff to do around the house and out in the yard and not pay attention to him as much as far as the smoking and maybe that will motivate him. We will see. Like I said that is why we have ICSI, right?

I just drove to BFE to drop off like 20 old paint cans that the prev owners left in the garage. We have lived here since April and just got the garage cleaned up. It is hard to motivate a man sometime right?

Hope everyone is having a good day. Jen keep your head up ok?

Stephjim, ggod for you for getting rid of the old junk!!! You are on a roll. About the smoking, we can not make others do things that we want them to do. Just lead him in the right direction and hope that he sees the light. I'm sorry that it's such a strain on you guys. We kinda had the problem with drinking with the guys. I kept asking DH not to drink... kept asking, etc. Nagging really. I forwarded him so internet stuff that he read. But he said, he could find other documentation that alcohol doesn't make a difference. I guess the thing that shocked him into reality was the numerous BFN's and the information from RE that it probobly is due to both of us. (Not just an egg issue.) After that, he realized on his own that it really could matter. So he's been drink free for a bit now. Everyone is different. Smoking is an addiction, very difficult to break. Does DH go to RE visits with you? He may need to hear it again from fertility DOC. I can't believe urologist said that. Obviously smoking and or drinking is not the sole cause of sperm issues, but they definately can muck up the sperm.

Hi ICSI, thanks for the positive note. Yes, all of this torture will be worth it one day.

Hey girls!! I had a moment of weakness at the drugstore today... but I resisted and did NOT buy an HPT!

Chriss: Hey girlie.. I know the last week can be stressful.. hang in there hun :) Ugh 4am - I whine when I have to get up at 6am!! Poor Chriss!

Stephjim: Actually my dh's SA became MUCh worse AFTER he quit smoking!! I was pretty shocked, I though there would be an improvement. The ggirls are right until they are ready to quit - you just can't do much to convince them! So sorry hun!!

Peqe: yummy cake :) No reading for me today - I spent the day with a girlfriend helping her find an outfit for an interview! It helped the day go by faster...

Jen: Sorry to hear about your BFN :( Nothing I can say really but BFNs suck suck suck!! Thinking of you and sending a big virtual hug to you!!

Well one day down 3 more to go! I very excited!! oo low battery note - gotta run! Will be on later!

Mia I am giving up on talking to him about it. Thanks for the information you gave me before. I am trying to see if I can find a better way to finance this as far as interest rate. My grandma's husband could loan me the money but he is crazier than hell and does not even let her spend any money let alone give it to a step granddaughter he does not know.

Oh well.

How is everyone has anyone heard any more from Jen. Do the blood results typically come back the same day? I am not familiar, yet, with that.

I go tomorrow for my mock transfer/uterine assessment. I get to do it by myself because DH could not get out of work. I guess I will find out for sure tomorrow when I start my injectables. i think it will be the 27th of February. Looking forward to that, NOT!!! I don't mind doing it though. Maybe I will teach DH how to use a shot.

Anyone on tonight. Just watching DH play guitar hero.

Stephjim: Yeah I looked into several financing options, but then realized my clinic had to have a contract for a health loan with the company you want to borrow monet from. SO the best thing to do is ask the clinic for info on financing. Capital One has a pretty good health loan with low interest. The mock transfer is easy peesy - little cramping. In fact I remember feeling exactly how I feel right when I start my period. I got real warm and crampy.. but it was over quick! Good luck hun!
