RunnerKate - Sorry to hear that you were upset. I don't know how many they look for and whats a good number, but I hope your RE gives you good news today. Keep us posted.
IrishHope - I don't have to refrigerate my lupron. I was only asked to refrigerate the fsh and that too only till its loaded into the pen. Once its in apparently it can stay outside the fridge for several days.
aims - good luck with ET! Hoping for a BFP for you!
Thanks for all the suggestions regarding how to carry the meds.
Have a great day!

RunnerKate- definitely don't give up! I had 8 and then when ER came I had another 2 that showed up. You are still on day 6 and more can happen, please keep the PMA! It really only does take 1. Look at our Jan/Feb post and one girl got her BFP with 1! There is a good chance you will get more than one fertilized, so don't give up and stay calm! I will be praying for you!

Kate ~ Please don't give up!! I don't think 6 is a bad number at all. What was your antral count? Was it low? I think you still have plenty of time for more to grow!!! Hang in there and keep us posted.
I am on the microdose Luprone as well. I am 28 with high FSH, 12.5. Anyone that has seen success stories with high FSH I would love to hear!!! Trying to keep the PMA high as well!!!!
WIshing and praying for everyone to get a BFP!! Baby dust
Talked to the nurse today. They want me to come in tomorrow and see how they are progressing and we are going to talk to the dr. about whether we should continue. The nurse seemed surprised to think that I might not want to continue and tried to find the Dr. to talk to me, but he had already left for the day. Also, looks like I might do ER this weekend as was planned earlier (if we go through with it).
I don't think anyone is as far along as I am w/ stimming...but has anyone had LOTS of CM (cervical mucus)? I had the biggest clump of egg white CM (sorry if gross) I have EVER seen today. I thought it might be from the ultrasound, but that was 6 hours earlier.

RunnerKate - GOOOOOOD Luck tomorrow at the Dr. Sorry no CM to make note of from me.
Welcome Courtney!! Glad you found us...
indie_rrad - thanks for the Lupron update. Given that my baseline bloodwork/ultrasound all are fine I guess it's working how it's supposed to.
OK met w/ RE today ...he is leaving on vacation tonight. Soooo one of his "associates" will basically review my info from stimming and make the decisions...ok this "associate" does not know me and vice versa. I guess I have to go with it...AND the major hospital for E/R and E/T flooded so they are concerned about mold and embryos so my retrieval and transfer will be at Boston IVF but still with doctor's from the initial hospital that is now flooded...I have a post it note on my dashboard and I quote "Go With the Flow"....I say it at least 50 times a day ...
I asked my RE today about my antral count - he said he does not rely on them much and goes more by FSH # and my bloodwork levels...ok got ZIP info there...hahahaha!
Guess I wait until Mon/Tues for next ultrasound...
I hope no "tweeking" to my protocol needs to be done b/c I really am not thrilled w/ "Dr. NoName/NoFace"....ughhhhhh
I am still waiting for Friday when i start the lupron. So nothing really new here.
I was told lupron doesn't need to be refrigerated until it has been opened.
Last time i did all of my shots in the tummy and for a while it went very well but after 2 weeks of injects my stomach started bruising really bad and it was very hard to stick the needles in. Hopefully this time goes better. I stopped at the pharmacy yesterday to pick up this patch of meds and i was told i could use the back of my arm if i needed to but i think that would hurt more. Anyone else done this?
Hope you all have a great Valentine's day tomorrow!

ok I am a very poor responder--I only get about 2-4 mature follicles for each cycle. I wouldn't be concerned. As long as they are growing the way the should, I think 6 is fine--wish I could get that many. But take one step at a time.
I've taken Lupron for 3 or 4 cycles and I never had to refrigerate that.
Things are moving fast for me, but I hope that's a good sign.
kate- It only takes 1 egg. I would wait to speak to your Dr. Please keep us informed; I am praying for you.
irish- When I first got my meds my nurse said that Lupron can go in the frig or out. So sorry about the assoc/hospital issue. The whole process is crazy enough- without changes in doctors.
cyclone- I really hope your tummy is better with this cycle.
courtney- It is great to have you as our new buddy- welcome!!!
1st shot went just fine. Thanks for all of the support!!!
Irish: My nurse told me that as long as the Lupron was below 72 it was fine (room temp OK). So, you should be fine.
Hubby and I are going in first thing tomorrow to talk to doctor.
So....do you guys celebrate Valentine's Day? Are you getting your hubby any presents?
My hubby already gave me mine b/c he couldn't wait. Typically after I do my shots, I go downstairs to our den and watch tv with an icepack on the "shot wounds." When I went down tonight, he had gone down there while I was doing my shots and set up a heart shaped candle in a heart shaped basket and had some chocolate treats and a necklace. The necklace was a heart with a smaller opal heart in it. Opal is the stone of my hubby's birth month. Seriously, he is spoiling me.
And, um.....I got him NOTHING. Guess I have to figure something out tomorrow!

RunnerKate,
Let us know how things go today at the clinic. I'm sorry to hear that you were bummed with 6 but it's not about quantity it's about quality. I didn't have any leftover to freeze, but who cares, I am pregnant now.
And you will be pregnant too some day soon. Are you not exercising during the stimming? I just walked. No running at all. My ovaries were too achy.

Me: 37 DH:40 TTC since 2005. First IVF cycle canceled. 2nd cycle BFP 1/11. DS arrived late 2008. 3rd cycle, U/s 3/7. Devastated. NO fetal pole or HB.
V-Day - I got a card and left it with DH keys this morning...we don't do anything huge however, I am secretly hoping to get flowers at work today!
LostGirl - Congrats! Hope you have a smooth pregnancy!!
Kimbers - thanks for the Lupron info. I think it's fine either way...glad #1 went smoothly...
cyclone - I noticed just today I'm having a little more sensitivity in my tummy...3 shots a day for only 3 days but it's starting to get harder to find a spot...hopefully only 7 days left...
RKate - hpoe things go well - thinking of you!!
Courtney - I have heard lots of success stories of people with high FSH...it's one piece of the puzzle...so stay positive!
kbat - glad your cycle is going qiuckly! Fingers crossed for you!!
Happy Valentine's Day Everyone! I have to say it is kind of hard to feel romantic when you stat the day by giving yourself an injection in the tummy. We aren't really doing gifts. I have a card and am sure he has one for me and we are going to see "When Harry Met Sally" on the big screen. I am pretty excited about that as it used to be one of my favorite movies.
IrishHope - Was it Brighams and Women's in Boston that was flooded? I don't even know where Boston IVF is. I like your "Go with the flow" mantra. It definitely helps as we can't control these things so I guess we just have to accept them. Good luck with the new facility/dr!
RunnerKate - Your DH sounds like such a sweetheart! I hope all goes well at the dr and you and he can celebrate more today!
Kim - Congrats on getting one shot done. The first one is definitely the worst if only for the psych factor!
Cyclone - My stomach is definitely reacting differently than the last time. It was so much easier last time. I have heard you can also use the back of your arm but I have never tried that. I like to use my outer thigh which they also said was okay. The injections I give in my thighs always go much easier.
itsgottawork - yes Brigham & Women's a pipe burst on Mon/Tues I guess and for the next 14 days they are taking pre-cautions w/ IVF due to as I said fear of mold w/ the embryos/incubators etc.
Boston IVF is in Waltham - ironically my sister who lives on the Cape went there for all her IUI's and said it's a new, nice, clean facility so I'm ok with it. Boston IVF is also affiliated tightly w/ Harvard so I feel like people there must be smart
This sister is actually due to "blow" 2/18...so another positive story however, she did not have to go to IVF but if her 4th IUI did not work she was headed that way...so keep the faith girls!!!
