Hello all. How is everyone doing this morning. I finally got up. I am tired of taking BIRTH CONTROL PILLS. I want to move on!!! Ok, well it is my own fault that I am not starting tomorrow. I actually delayed the ER a week because of work and that is why I am starting next week instead of this week on the Lupron. So I can't complain. Ok, I can a tiny bit.

I am off today so will check in periodically.

Good morning Ladies!

I've been awaiting my drugs since 08:00 this morning and they finally arrived. (the silly things we get excited about! It's not like it's Christmas gifts!)

So I opened my package and immediately began inventory. Good news, all is there and appears to be as planned... but wait... my receipt has a total of WAY less than I was quoted a few days ago when I ordered!! Like almost $1300 less!!! So I call the pharmacy and sure enough, it's CORRECT.... good news for girls paying O-O-P.... apparently the manufacturer for Gonal-F provides FREE drugs for their customers' 3rd cycles. WOO HOO!!! In the grand scheme of things $1300 isn't a lot, but it's that much less off my CC right now!! It made the total only about $1200. It was over $3000 for my first cycle and around $2000 for my 2nd. Hey, we'll take what we can get!!! Anyway, I had to share - in case any of you are paying O-O-P and have to go for the 3rd round. It was quite a nice surprise!!

Hope everyone is having a great day! Time for me to get ready for work. I can't hear the stupid doorbell from my bathroom, so I've been hanging out in my robe! (Poor FedEx guy!)

Steph -

Is this the cutest thing???

I wanted to tell you, I thought of you while we were at the Natural History Museum the other day, checking out the bones & skeletons display. There is a whole section on turtles and my youngest DSS was amazed that the "turtle's shell is actually part of his skeleton!" He was so cute. He said that section was his favorite part.

i ALWAYS get excited on this day.....it means you're one step closer to your BFP hun!!! how very cool on your gonal-f.....you use freedom fertility?? i know they do that too (3rd round gonal)......is like me getting excited that my ins actually DOES pay for us & bw -- when, in the grand scheme of things - these are least expensive visits of all!!!! yeah for you!!!

Hi Angie and Stephjim -

Yup, it's the little things!!! Yes, we use Freedom also, but I had no idea about the gonal-f! Fantastic surprise! I too live in a no-required state, or whatever it's called... crazy thing.. if I lived 20 miles north, I'd be in Maryland, which is covered.... although I'm not sure how it works with us "pre-surgical" folks... ugh.... My insurance doesn't cover my BW/US, but it did cover all my pre-screening as well as my D&C and my DH's PESA - which i thought was ironic! You're gonna cover the sperm aspiration, which is the reason we're doing IVF... but you won't cover IVF OR even a vasectomy reversal! Go figure. Fortunately, I am doing the complete coverage plan with my RE, so everything I do is covered by one GIANORMOUS price... and up to 6 fresh IVF cycles, not including any FETs, if I could get an embryo to freeze!

anyway, I found this .... thought it was cute.

hope -- i absolutely LOOOOVVEEEEE that lil onesie!!!!!! TOO CUTE!!! hey, also sent you a pm....got a question for ya.............

stehpjim -- you catchin up on all your shows again today???

hello to everybody else!!! so i finally heard back from my current RE -- who has agreed to "reduce his fee by $2,000" if i want to do round #3 w/ them (which -- takes it down the very bargain price of $7,500 -- what a deal-what a bargain!!! and that does NOT include all the visits he will bill to my ins company for us & bw......also does not cover any of meds - which for round #3 - i'll be HIGHEST doses of everything!!!) as i've said before though, every lil bit helps..... SO --- todays appt w/ new RE (who is female and i'm SO excited about) will be interesting.....cuz that clinic participates w/ a refund guarantee program that says "ya get 3 fresh cycles and 3 frozen cycles (which - i've NEVER had enough to freeze, so in that case - i'd be SOL).....anyway --- also covers all bw & us's....and ICSI too i believe --- for $20,000 (ish).......and if ya don't get live baby -- ya get 70% of your money back!!! how great is that?????? (it does not cover any meds though).......so we'll see.....i'll have some decisions to make after today.......

Hi everyone!

Hope- That is great. Glad you received your meds!! That is a really nice suprise about the discount! They really need to cut their prices anyway!!!

StephJim-Sorry you are getting inpatient. Next week will be here before you know it.

Angie- Yeah, real nice of your RE, $2000. Come on, tell him to do it for half!! LOL but hey, every little bit helps. The other RE plan sounds great. That is what DH and I were going to do if he had sperm. But anyway, GOOD LUCK TODAY with your appointment. Make sure you update us as soon as you get back!!! How are you and DH? He still in the dog house?

Angie - Good luck with the new RE today. It's a tough decision, but I think how you feel about the RE and the new clinic will make a big diff too. Let us know how it goes!

Stephjim - how you hangin' sweetie? Don't worry, you'll be over the hump of waiting for IVF to start before you know it you'll be in the 2ww!!

Hi Miracle! How are you today, hon? :)

Alright, I can't slack off anymore. My meds have arrived and now I have to get to work. I had a little extra time since I had to wait for them, but I'm cutting it close now. :( I so wish I could sign on from work! I can sign on to FB!! Why not here?! Weirdos.

Hello all Sorry have not been on went and met my friend at the mall to help her pick out her engagement ring. After she left I went to the bathroom and I was bleeding. It freaked me out. So I called multiple times to the doc office and finally heard back from someone and they totally reassured me that this was normal the first time in IVF because my body is not used to the BCP since I have been off of them for so long and that I should just continue along with the BCP and everything should stay on track. Of course it freaked me and DH out but everything is ok now. Just wanted to give that update.

Hope everyone is doing well. Congrats on your meds Hope and good luck today and let us know what happens at the RE today Angie.

Til later.

OMG I love him!!!! And hey I did some work there at the Natural History Museum with the bones (behind the scenes though) when I was interning in Washington in 95. My internship was on Walter Reed at Armed Forces Institute of Pathology. Some of the projects I worked on made me have to go into the collections of the other museum to take data! Sooo cool!

Tell DSS that turtles ROCK :)

TOTALLY normal Steph! I always tell people starting out or switching (if you were gonna be ON them for bc purposes) to give em 3 months for your body to acclimate. There may be some breakthru until your body gets used to em. So you aren't such a freak :)

Jackie and Jane- thanks guys! So how are your belly's growing??? I can't wait! I'm already fat so now I can say no I'm not fat I'm pregnant
