Wow.. looks like everyone is moving along well. I am still in the stimming and waiting phase. I have an u/s and b/w tomorrow am so should know more about the follies tomorrow afternoon.

cathann - congrats on getting thru ER! When is ET?

kbear4211 - My acupuncturist suggested twice a week appt till the ER. no acupuncture between ER and ET but a massage instead - I will probably do the massage as well. I am not sure what the schedule will be post ER. Usually with IUIs they would do some sessions right after IUI - they said it helps with the implantation. Haven't had that happen with any of my IUIs but I have decided to stick to their suggestions atleast for this cycle.

Will check back in tomorrow afternoon with more info on my follies.

Best of luck to everyone.. Can't wait to see the BFP posts!

Hello All! I am still just taking BCPs, but my time will come next week to start sticking my tummy

Jenis - you've done great!! your follies sure did grow. we knew they would...congrats on a thursday ER...it will be here before you know....my trigger is ovidrel too..in the tummy :)

kbear - sounds like you and me are going to be starting right at same time...i start lupron 2/26. i will be taking lupron the entire time...even while stimming. do you do that too? i will add on gonal-f 3/7 (i think).

cathann - 2 is great...it only takes 1...having lots of eggs it not always best...take it from me...i had 21, 15 fert and only 3 made it to blast...and I got a BFN :(

cornybaby - congrats on the embabies :P we did not do ICSI last time but are going to do all this time....

kate - so glad to hear that all 6 feritlized....hope your embabies continue to do great!

Good Luck to all you doing ER and ET this week. We'll be seeing thost BFPs before you know....although that 2WW is the worst part of the whole thing

I can't thank everyone enough for each of your posts!! I'm new to the message board, and this is our first IVF cycle. Each of your posts are so reassuring that I'm not the only one going through this process. Thanks to everyone! :D

I'll admit that I've been the biggest baby with the injections, but DH has been so wonderful in giving me the injections. The first night, I sat in the bathroom for 45 minutes working myself into a stupid frenzy trying to give myself a shot, which of course ended in DH giving it to me. Usually DH is very "clumsy" in general, but he's been very gentle and calm every evening when it comes to the injections.

I started Lupron on 2/13 and have a doctor's appointment on Friday. E/R ~ 3/6. Please keep posting! It's very encouraging.

Baby Dust to all!

Needless to say sleeping until 3am when we are to do my "trigger" HCG shot is not happening...slept a few hours but have been awake with a racing mind...nervous about the shot but more so the E/R - fertilization etc.

It's official - E/R 2/21
E/T - Sunday 2/24

The whole pipe bursting at B&Women's hospital has proven to cause us some additional stress since my doctor's office is not versed in how the Boston IVF center protocols work - so I had to call my nusre at 4:05pm today and she was not very reassuring - infact when she told me my Trigger shot time/DH sample time/E/R time - quote "hhhmmm that doesn't seem right...I don't know...I guess they do things differently"...

ok I am venting but anyone who has been a professional for more than a couple years should know to THINK before speaking...I took notes and had DH call her back to review...b/c it was so confusing/stressful I did not even ask about my E2 level/follicle count from my tests yesterday morning...I will call her today at 9:00 a.m. sharp!

One good thing I guess the rotation worked out so we get same doc for retrieval and transfer - of course we googled the h****l out of him....he's some big whig w/ over 20+ years of IVF experience - sigh...relief!!

Aims- stay strong! one week left - very exciting!!

Cathann - glad you are over the hurdle and 2 is awesome!! Stay positive!!

Mrs. G - sorry to hear of your delay!! Chin up!!

Beaner - lucky duck! no IM trigger! I wonder why some of us get the butt/big needle and others a subq??

kbat - lucky! awesome schedule and yes we are on the same day but my retrieval is at 3pm...anyone know if I can take Advil after? I am hoping to work on Friday...

i'm pretty tough given I had my laparoscopy theMonday before Thanksgiving and hosted the holiday for 9...I bounce back from anesthesia etc. pretty well...

sorry for the ramble - I'm spazzing about 3am butt shot!!

Hi Ladies,

Waiting to hear from RE whether the transfer will be today or Friday. It will be such a pain if it is today b/c my hubby has meetings all day that he can't miss and my parents will have to drive up from Richmond.

Um...has anyone realized they are more "regular" these days? Maybe I'm just eating a crapload of food/drinking more H2O.

kbear4211--I go to Dominion Fertility www.dominionfertility.com in Arlington.

cornybaby, cathann--hope the ER went well? You don't have any discomfort? I feel like a total wimp, it really wasn't that pleasant in the evening/early morning next day, but I guess I have a low tolerance for pain. How the heck did I ever run marathons?

J&C--You will survive the shots. It gets easier!

IrishHope--Sorry about the dr situation. You want to feel like they are totally taking care of you and you don't have to worry about a thing. You really don't need the extra stress right now of worrying about whether they are doing everything right. If I were you, I would chew their ear a little on this point....Good luck with the ER!

Jenis, Kbat, LB: Ditto with the good luck!

Trigger was an absolute breeze! I iced it for 2-3 minutes prior and did not think DH had even put the needle in and we were done. A bit tender like when you were a kid and got a shot in the arm but so far so good...

Hope everyone has a great day!

Glad to hear things are going so well for everyone! Lots of good eggs retrieved and hopefully more to come!!

IrishHope - they only had me take tylenol before ER last time and didn't give me anything after - I was crampy but even that was ok by the end of the day (I even went out a bit that day) and I was back to work the next day, walking a little slower but ok. So you should be able to go work the next day - not that you want to!

As for me, ER will be Friday or Saturday now, depending on today's bloodwork. He is still deciding exactly what mix of trigger to do depending on my results. I will hopefully know this afternoon for sure what day it will be - I just want to do it already!!

Best of luck tomorrow to IrishHope, Jenis, Beaner, and kbat with the ER, and cornybaby with the ET!! You too Kate, if ET is today!

My ET is today! My mom & dad are driving up from Richmond. I am slightly freaking out b/c they haven't even left yet. Mom can't seem to find my dad....he was getting some bloodwork done today and has been gone for 2 hours. I hope they make it in time. I would hate to be there alone for this whole process. :<

RE didn't give me ANY info about the embryos EXCEPT that they are 8 cell.

Anxious and really wish my hubby could be there with me.

RunnerKate - Good luck today. I hope your parents get there soon! 8 cell embies are ideal so it sounds like things are going really well for you. There's not much to say about the anxiety, I hope you can relax and maybe chat with your DH in between his meetings. I am sure he is disappointed he can't be there with you. But, you're parents will be and we will all be thinking of you today too and wishing you lots of stickiness for your embabies!

IrishHope - Congrats on an easy trigger! That's great! I had to do the 3:00 AM trigger last time too and had the 3 PM transfer. We are late night people so we just stayed up late the night before so I would sleep in and not be tempted to eat or drink before the transfer. It ended up being a fun night. We were playing games and not talking about it but we're both really nervou and excited. Good Luck tomorrow!

J&C - Welcome! You're just a couple of days behind me. I started Lupron on the 9th and just started stims last night. Good luck with your appt on Friday!

JustJenis, Beaner, kbat, LB, Cornybaby - Good luck this week! I can't wait to read all about your experiences! A few more weeks and we will be seeing all those BFPs!!!

Good luck Kate - we are thinking of you!

IrishHope - On the day of ER last time, I showered with odorless soap but didn't wash my hair (since I didn't have non-scented shampoo). I bought odorless, organic deodorant because I couldn't stand the thought of not using anything - DH used it too!

Just got back from my first ultrasound and am not feeling so good about the results. My RE found about 4 follies of sizes 15, 12.5, 11 and 10 and then another group of 4 in the range of 5.5 - 6. After all these shots etc I was hoping there would be many more!! Though he did say that its too early to say anything, the second group might catch one. But I am feeling sad.. I need some follie vibes, I really hope the rest catch up also so I have more to work with and possibly some left for FET!!! Anyway guess I can do nothing but wait and hope. The next u/s is friday.

Kate - good luck with the ET today.
