Chriss, sweetie, you take all the time you need. You know we're here for you when you need us. Thinking of you and praying for you!!!! I have to say, I'm amazed at how fast you're into the new cycle! My RE won't go that fast, makes me break between.

I'm SOOOOO glad to hear about the new RE. She sounds FANTASTIC!!!!!! I bet that has given you a fresh, new perspective, even with the hurdles of overcoming DH's smoking ... speakin of, have you told him what she said yet? Are he and dss still down with the man/boy flu??!!! It seems to be going around. I work with a bunch of men (boys) and they all seem to have it... running around like little snotty-nosed cry babies.

I'm SO curious about that antioxidant that your RE mentioned, let us know what you find out about it. Also, have you talked to her about you (and even DH) doing acupuncture?? I love my LAc. He's awesome... he wanted to do acupuncture on DH too, but all our swimmers are already frozen, since we had to do PESA. Might help??

Are both Proxeed and zita west stuff for DH's swimmers? If so, I'd ask RE if you can use zita west... but i definitely wouldn't skimp if she says no... I'm afraid of using anything my RE doesn't give her stamp of approval, for fear of drug interactions or wacky stuff... I dunno. Let us know what she says!

OK - edited.... Next time I'll try to read further so I can get my answers *before* I ask the questions... I went back and found the answers... duh... I'm a dufus.

Hi Hope, yes it is fast. Re says since I only had a few follies last time, my ovaries were not too busy, and don't need as much rest. Normally he wants us to wait one month inbetween cycles. I pray that this cycle works. If not, I plan to wait at least a month inbetween cycles. Will keep up with the accupuncture and drink the herbs that are supposed to clense ovaries, etc. (I've been on a lot of stimms.) I also do not have the luxury of time. I'll be 41 next month and it's a tough decision how to long to wait. (Fertility drastically declines over 40 and it happens quickly) It's a toss up what's better to wait or not to wait. I put in a call to another clinic, one in Manhattan. I am waiting to hear back from them. Was told that it could be almost a 2 month wait for consultation. Just figure it can't hurt to get another opinion. Look what it did for ICSI. Right? ANyway, the new clinic uses some different drug protocols and my clinic isn't really changing anything for me anymore. They already made a few changes, but they don't do all the same things as the clinic in Manhattan. Also had a quick chat with my RE about DE. Might have to be the option for us. Who knows. I'm getting ahead of myself here. This IVF is going to work, so I won't need to worry about all that stuff. Looks like you are getting closer! Just a couple of weeks to go, right? -chriss

I think you are smart to get a 2nd RE's opinion. I would definitely do so if my RE wasn't making any changes with me. And yes, Angie is proof that it's worth checking into! Sometimes just mixing things up shakes everything right into place! BUT, you are right, PMA!!!! this one is going to work, so one thing at a time!!!

I know what you mean about age... I've been reading the same things about 35, which I will be in a week! AMA - Advanced Maternal Age... phew! Age-smage! It's gonna work for us!!! I've been trying to stay positive too. This is gonna be "THE ONE" for u and me, both, sister!!! 'Nuff of this messin' around!

Funny, I just had a long conversation with an IVF nurse who works in NY a few weeks back. She is a friend of a dear friend of mine. She was very helpful in recommending questions to ask my RE. I wonder if she's at one of your clinics! I didn't even ask her...

goofy me. If I find out, I'll let you know. Her name is Nancy... can't remember last name.

yes, ask her. Although there are tons of fertility clinics in Manhattan. Not so many on Long Island. But, ya never know.
