Cin- CONGRATS U GOOOO GIRL! wowhoo

Hookey- I was the one that mention about IVF'ers going through the crazinees that natural pregnany mommies dont go through.. Thanks, i totally agree with you. I htink its just when you are doing IVF, you know all about this whole reproductive nonsense on down to the statistical reates, its so crazy how we become so obsessed with googling EVERYTHING! when you have the oppurtunity to get pregoo natuarrly you are just not as informed as too all of the things that can go wrong...... But in any event, my u/s was scheduled for 3/3 and then they bumped it to 2/29 and now they called and said they are in cycle and they need me to come in today! 2/28! so i have a 4pm appt.. Ladies Pray i see a little strong heartbeat! will they give me an ultrasound pic? I want one for my scrap book!

Mbre YIPPEE!! U/S today!! Good luck. I got two pictures from my U/S. I don't know about anyone else. Come on 4:00!!!!! Let us know ASAP. Can your DH go with at such short notice?? I hope so.

Hoekey - good news on the nausea! I had it yesterday but the only thing I wanted was pizza!

I always thought this whole pregnant woman thing was a myth but my gosh it is true, what sounded good for lunch might make you gag at dinner!
Cinci- congratulations on your HB!!!! Wow met her for 2 mos and she is preggers already! My goodness, don't think his dad will be too happy!
Gecko-great job losing 45 lbs! wow! I am sorry you are upset, hopefully the next test will be fine and with the right diet you and your baby will be super healthy! Got my fingers crossed for you!
21bat- I was laughing thinking of myself trapped by the pillow when trying to get up and go pee!!! Too funny! I might still get one! I was reading some stuff and it said that when you have low betas and a singleton that your chances for Downs are smaller.
Weezie- great to see you back and congrats on your twins!

Hey girls,

Just a quickie before I get a nap! My next u/s will be on March 7! Yesterday I felt great - but today I havent been able to eat much and sooo tired! My stomach itches bad (my skin is so dry). SO that is the the quickie on me! Tired of the PIO shots - but my RE doesnt switch to the suppos.! owell...

Hi ladies....I am sooo frustated. Here is the problem. We all know that ovulation for me took place on Jan 25th the day of ER cause that is obvious. The IVF Pregnancy Calculator puts me at 6 weeks 5 days pregnant yesterday and due Oct 17th. Yesterday the ultrasound lady (nurse) dated me at 6 weeks 2 days?! So I googled. This was what is said:

The fetal pole grows at a rate of about 1 mm a day, starting at the 6th week of gestational age. Thus, a simple way to "date" an early pregnancy is to add the length of the fetus (in mm) to 6 weeks. Using this method, a fetal pole measuring 5 mm would have a gestational age of 6 weeks and 5 days.

It just so happens they used 6 weeks 5 days as their example and which I know I was yesterday...especially cause I even asked the size and she said 5mm. I also just check the CRL (crown to rump length) on my records which I got before I left yesterday to give to my OBGYN when I go on Monday...and it says .51 cm which I just used a conversion chart on line to see that .51 cm also equals 5 mm!!! So how the heck does she figure that I am not further along!?

The worse part is...I was looking back at old posts and see that Kelly and Cincin both ovulated (ER) 2 days before me on the 23rd of Jan and Mia Ovulated 4 days after me on the 29th...and their due dates are consistant with me being due Oct 17th not the 20th! I am gonna ask again at the new docs on Monday. I understand she is human and can make a mistake but geeesh. I even questioned it to another nurse and she came up with the same due date as I did....but did not go question the ultrasound lady about it.

I also realize that 3 days dont make a difference, but I am ready to read what to expect in the 7th week tomorrow and now I... according to her... am not even 7 weeks till next week ...okay Monday...but it seems soooo far away!

Did anyone else get a different due date according to the 6 week ultrasound measurements? Needless to say ...Oct 20 is just irritating to me because I know it is wrong and so I am switching my due date back to Oct 17th. Rio, sweety, will you change me back, please?

Tammy - My clinic counts 38 weeks from the day of retrieval and that is the due date. When I had my 6 week u/s, the beanie only measured 6w2d instead of 6w6d and was a little behind I guess. They didn't change my due date at all. I don't understand why yours did. I would go with your original due day. And of course, the baby will know when it is due and come accordingly!!!

Hoekey - Your B-I-L sounds like a real piece of work. I can't believe he stole your thunder so to speak. Sounds like there will be some interesting family conversations! I actually had a whole day without m/s too! How lovely. I hope it lasts. Actually, besides sore boobs, a lot of my symptoms have lessened.

andnichole- Good luck on your next u/s. Keep us posted! I can't wait for my next one. I just want to see the little heartbeat again.....

TammyS I hear ya!!! Hubby and I had an EDD of Oct 7, then we went to our U/S and they gave us a date of Oct 10. 3 DAY DIFFERENCE!!! So, I know what you mean. It feels like you fell down a hill and have to climb back up again doesn't it? I thought that I was 6 weeks 6 days and they had me at 6 weeks 3 days. The baby measured .58 cm which would have had me almost to 6 weeks 6 days, 6 weeks 5 days for sure. (BTW, I didn't know how the measurements worked, thanks for that)
Let me know what your OB says.

Tammy- I changed your date back. Don't worry about that too much, I seriously doubt that any of our babies are coming on our due date! My RE has my due date at 39 weeks. Also at our ultrasound I thought we were 6w3d like the calculator here said, but as far as the RE and his calculations I was 6w2d like his due date showed. Go figure!!!

Don't stress out about it, I know it is hard at this point cause we want everything to be perfect.

I had a chocolate brownie. It looked so good, and tasted good too. Ten minutes later...YUCK, and have felt nauseous ever since. Guess I better stick to the proteins and veggies

Ok ladies I had my us and last time I measured at 5w1d( but was supposed to be 5w4d). Today I went and I caught up I am now 6w6d so going into my 7th week tomorrow! My crown to rump was . 87cm! And I heard my little ones heartbeat! It wasnlike boomboomboom! At 121bpm! Is this good?
I'm so happy! I was a xcited and lauging that re couldn't get the exact rate per minute! Du couldn't go bit we go back next Thursday!

Tammy- don't worry! Like I said I was supposed to be 5w4d on my first us and I was measured at 5w1d but today I caught up... So no worries!!

Mbre: How exciting that you got to hear the heartbeat, already! That means our due date is the same then??? 121 is great! They say for the 6 week u/s anything between 90-110 is normal. You are almost 7 weeks and consistant with what is normal. That is awesome. I cant wait to hear the hb. I was told all she had to do was turn on the doppler but for some reason I think she wouldve ....if that machine had it. It probably didnt.

Hey girls!
Well I havent gotten an EDD at all. I forgot to ask when I went in and then I though kinda silly about wanting to know it so soon...

So I thought I would wait until my 7 week u/s next week to find out.

Someone mentioned food. It is so crazy I did not eat a thing all day except grapes until dinner and I just knew corn on the cob I would be able to stomach so I made soem tonight and it was great - but I bet tomorrow it will gross me out!

I went to work today and everyone said I looked like crap (basically). Ugh, thanks. I felt kinda zombiish all day.

Mbre: yeah so jealous that you got to hear the hb! that is great I thought u have to wait until 8 weeks for that.

Rio and Hoek you two are so funny with the mixed up posts! lol!!

Tammy yeah I would ignore the u/s lady - they just dont realize how mauvh we IVFers know!!!

Cinci: at least yall are pg too! I was so dreading my dh's sis (12 yrs younger than him who just had a shotgun weddine was gonna be pg before me - now that would have been really tough. SO far she isnt pg though.

OK off to bed I go!!

Hi girls,

Thank you all for the support. My time has come to an end. My sac is empty and I believe I passed the embryo last week. I will do one more ultrasound on Monday but the ultrasound will only show a black hole as the last.
