Sad day today :( :( :(
We went for the ultrasound today and they couldn't see the baby or the heartbeat in the yolk sack. they said to come back next wednesday to re-check, but it doesn't look good.

oh bat I am so sorry. How many weeks are you supposed to be? Maybe its too early. I too have heard of people going back for a later u/s and see a heartbeat and baby! Are you cramping or any bleeding? You might just have a slow grower... Check back next week!

no bleeding, a little cramping. i am supposed to be 6weeks 3 days. they saw the sac and said it was a normal size but they didn't even see the baby, muchless the heartbeat. we are trying to keep our hopes up, but it's hard to be optimistic. the nurses didn't seem too optimistic

I'm sorry, too, bat. I hope you get good news next week. Remember that whatever happens you're very young and so you have lots of possibilities in your future for babies. I'll be thinking of you and saying a little prayer.

21bat - Oh, I am so sorry. Perhaps it is too early, like Tammy and Mbre said. I didn't have my first u/s until I was almost 7 weeks. Perhaps a week will make a difference. Hang in there! I am praying for you.

Okay girls...I had the wierdest thing happen to me last night. DH and I went out to dinner with another couple. After dinner we were just sitting around the table talking. All of the sudden I didn't know where I was and thought I was passing out. I couldn't hear, I could see but it was very surreal. This only lasted about 2-3 minutes and I did not alarm them at the table about it. But after I felt "right" I had to use the bathroom and was afraid to get up and walk on my own. My legs were kind of tingly too. So, I explained to them what happened and asked my lady friend to go with me to the restroom (this is something I never do, I like to go alone.) They had noticed nothing except the fact that I was not contributing to the conversation. Once I got up to use the restroom I was fine. I had no nausea but just after I felt "awareness" I thought I was going to projectile vomit, there was a lot of pressure from my tummy and in my throat. I DID NOT pass out, I just kind of lost myself. We talked about it a bit and my friend thought that maybe I had experienced water intoxication. I had three large glasses of water after dinner in about the space of thirty minutes. Has any one every heard of this?? I can compare it to being completely smashed, I mean the drunkest I have ever been, in my idiotic youth. The thing that throws me is that thankfully it only lasted for a couple of minutes. Has anyone heard of this?? I know that if you don't eat right while you're pregnant your blood sugar can take a dive and that can happen. But I ate well all day and had a nice large meal right before it happened. This really scared me. I feel fine now and felt fine within minutes and after we came home from the restaurant I was fine too. Any one have any thoughts?

Hoekey: That's bizarre! I'm not a dr, but I don't think it sounds like low blood sugar, either. I have probs w/that and it usually involves shaking, a cold sweat, and a pounding heart. Your description doesn't sound like that to me but maybe it's different in different people. What about low or high blood pressure? Are you going to talk to your dr? I hope so. I'm sure it's fine but it's always nice to hear that from a dr.

bat21:

Heads up ... I didn't get a confirming ultrasound until I was 7wks along. Even with that, there wasn't much to see. My DH said it look like a peanut. I didn't get to see the heart beating until Week 13. And I just got to hear the heartbeat today @ week 15! It was so unreal.

Just take care of yourself, relax and ABSOLUTELY DO NOT STRESS!!!

Hoekey - Wow! That sounds really strange. My first thought is that perhaps you ate something that you are allergic to. Sometimes pregnancy brings on allergies. At my first u/s when the nurse was taking my bp etc.. and asking all the questions they ask before the doctor comes in, she asked me if I had any new allergies since becomming pregnant. I know I had a cousin that became allergic to soap, of all things, during her pregnancy. I would DEFINITELY call your doctor on this one. The other thing I have learned is that pregnant people process sugars differently than others. Perhaps if you had just eaten a large meal, your blood sugar went up for a little while. Blood sugars are at their highest about an hour after eating. I hope you are feeling better today. Keep us posted!
