keita1981 - I was on the same dose of lupron and got my AF in time. Just give it a day or so, I am sure it will be here. Sending AF vibes your way!

Courtney - good luck with your next cycle.

Courtney - I am so sorry. That is entirely ridiculous and VERY frustrating!!! I wish you the very best and can't wait to see your BFP in a few months.

Brandy - This is my first IVF cycle, but I just reconnected with a high school friend who did IVF about 2 years ago. She only had 2 fertilized eggs, and they now have a beautiful baby girl. Hang in there and welcome back to the board. :D

I survived adding Shot #3 tonight....well, I survived DH giving me 3 shots tonight. God love him....he's been wonderful with the shots. I'm feeling bloated, irritated, headaches now and then.....ugh!!! I had quite the moment of feeling super grumpy towards those that can get pregnant without all of the IVF process this afternoon, but I think I'm back on my way to a PMA....maybe.

Hi All...
Jenis recommended this thread, so i'm here to read, read, read.
I swear I've become obsessed with IVF.
Anyway, this is my second cycle. They transferred 3- 8cell,rate 1 eggs on Feb 15th. Had my first hcg last Monday. It was 211. Had my second Beta on Wed. and it was 497. Can anyone tell me if there is a good chance I may have twins or triplets?
BTW, there is an awesome website that I found that calculates major milestones during pregnancy. See below:

Good Luck to everyone!

Well Ladies, I am pretty depressed right now. I awoke this morning to some nasty menstrual cramps and think AF will probably start soon. I am so tired of this process and waiting. Sometimes I think I will never get pregnant and am ready to give up. I am supposed to test on 3/5....but have a feeling I won't get that far

Kate...

Good morning sunshine! NOW STOP THAT CRAP! You know darn well that cramps are part of all this. We've all had them and we're all going to make it. Don't you dare sell yourself short cause you have cramps. Woman, I've had cramps since the start of my stims. It's all par for the course. You ARE PUPO ! ! ! Don't let your mind play tricks with you. Go take a shower.. get dressed, head to the movies, Watch 27 Dresses (cause I've been dieing to see it) And get some popcorn and enjoy! Stop your stressing. Enjoy every single moment with your embies.. they are YOURS and no matter the cramps.. they are strong.. just like momma!

*HUGS* Don't make me get out my wooden spoon girl!

Good Morning Ladies! So far I am doing well with the Lupron. I was having horrible headaches first 2-3 days...I guess my body had to get use to the medication. :( I started the doxy (antibiotic) yesterday and AF should come shortly as I am done with BCPs. Also next week, I go in for baseline and suppose to start stims Friday. It finally feels like I am getting started here. There are many of ya'll so ahead of me :) I am wishing for BFPs for everyone of you! :D :D :D

Courtney - I am so very sorry to hear you've canceled your cycel, but you and RE knows what is best. It is a real shame what happened with you and the nurses. That is one thing I like about my clinic....my RE does all the u/s himself, so no chance at anyone else guessing incorrectly. I was really looking forward to going thru this with you as we appeared to be on same schedule, but I know you will get your BFP soon..hopefully with your next cycle.

RunnerKate - don't lose your PMA just yet. I have read where lots of women think AF is coming and they end up with BFP :P It has only been a week since your ET, right? You could very well be experiencing implantation. I met a woman on this site that happened to go to my RE clinic and she experienced severe cramps off and on...and she just delivered a healthy baby boy on 2/15...so please don't give up. Wait on that beta.

Keita - this is my 2nd IVF and with my first one, I barely had an AF. I mean it came about 3 days after stopping BCP, but only lasted about 2 days and was very light..sorry if TMI. So just give it some time and if you don't have one, maybe you can cycle anyways. My nurse said it does not really matter if you have AF or not just as long as lining it thin.

Brandy - Welcome! and keep us posted on your embabies and the ET. Do you have a plan on how many you will put back in? Last time I was only going to put back 2, but only 3 made it to blast, so we put all..BFN. So I am hoping for my miracle this go round and love reading all the positive thoughts on here.

Wishing all those in 2WW sticky baby vibes...can't wait to see those BFPs starting this week.
:P :P :P :P :P

JustJenis & Jill n' Mark,

Thanks for the smack around:> I am feeling better and no red stuff yet, so I will keep hoping. One of my friends and her beautiful baby and I are going to a museum and then I am a getting a massage, so that will take my mind off things.

Courtney--sorry to hear that you decided to cancel your cycle, but sometimes it's good to take a step back. I am at a clinic right now and I am not fond of my team nurse--she's the only nurse in Providence and this cycle went smoothly--maybe because I didn't have to deal w/ her. I won't rehash the past, but at least your re knows about it and it'll probably be better for the next time.

RunnerKate- hang in there..We're almost there. I've been having on and off cramps that kind of feel like AF, but I am trying to keep a pma too. It's hard because it's something that we long for, but it's almost here. Enjoy the museum and the massage!!!

Hope everyone else's week-end is going o.k. We have more snow (arrrrgghhh!!!).

Anne Marie welcome!!!

Hi All

I'm new to this board. I finish my second IVF cycle and just had my second blood test on 2/28. It is a VERY low positive. My HCG level is only 16. They are only giving us a 10% chance that this pregnancy will continue. I am getting tested again on 3/6. Have any of you had really low starting HCG level? My husband and I are both 27 and are going through IVF for PGD. After our second attempt they feel there is a problem with the quality of my eggs. Just wondering if anyone has had a good outcome after low starting levels.

AmandaM--I wish the best for you. I kind of had the same situation w/ my last cycle. It started out at 2.5 and then doubled to 5.68 and then to 7.???. It ended up in the 30's. It steadily rose so slowly. Unfortunately, in my case it ended in an etopic pregnancy. After about 5 weeks, they did an u/s and saw that it was etopic and gave me methotroxite (sp?) and I had to wait about 6-8 weeks before trying to do this again.

I am not saying that this will be your scenario however. I beleive that I read on one of the threads at the time (around nov./dec) that there were some people out there who started w/ low beta numbers, and still had a good outcome. I do wish you luck and will keep my fingers crossed that the number keeps rising and that all will be fine.

Thanks for the respone. I feel better knowing other people have gone through what I am. I have also been having a small amount of spotting for a week and no pregnancy symptoms at all. I have a feeling it won't work this time. I'm sorrt to hear your last attempt didnt work. I truly hope it will work for you next time.

Thank you everyone for all of your postive words. As of today at noon both fertilized eggs were still thriving. So, I just keep praying that they continue to thrive. They will do a 3d transfer tomorrow. J&C, and RunnerKate, your e-mails definitely made me more positive again. So thanks again!

Courtney - so sorry that you had to cancel this cycle. I am sure things will go smoother next time. Everyone reacts differently and sometimes the docs just have to work out the kinks

Keita - my AF is always late when I am on lupron. I usually don't get af until I have been on lupron for at least 15 days. So, hang in there.

RunnerKate and Kbat - I am living proof that having cramps is not bad. I was sure AF was coming when I got the call from my doc that I was pregnant! Keep thinking positively

AnneMarie - I am unsure as to whether or not you could have twins. My preliminary HCG numbers were very high and I was told it could mean twins or it could just mean a very strong single pregnancy. It turns out I only had one.

Thank you everyone again and I will keep you posted!

Keep your PMA!

Hi Ladies~

Courtney- so sorry that this cycle did not work out for you. It is great to hear that the RE thinks next time will have more positive results. Best of luck during your next cycle!!!

Anne Marie- welcome to the board. It is great to hear that your Beta numbers are so high.

Kate- Hang in there~ remember PUPO!!! Our bodies have been spiked with so many hormones I am sure that they are a little out of control!!

Jill- It is nice to see that you are doing better with the meds and that things are officially under way!!!

Amanda- Best of luck to you this cycle- welcome!!!

Kbat- try to keep warm and out of the snow.

My update- they found 15 follicles and 11 measure from 15 to 20. I trigger tonight at 10pm and er is scheduled for 8:15 Monday morning- wish us luck!!! I am soo looking forward to the BFPs~ they are right around the corner.

PS Did anyone have a lot of white/clear discharge right before retrieval? Sorry for the TMI, but my nurse says it is normal- It would be more assuring if someone who went through this could ok it!!!

Enjoy the weekend- kimbers

we got about 4-5 inches of snow. My plow guy didn't come and almost didn't get out of the driveway. However, it turned to rain, and thankfully all that's left is a couple of inches.... Can't wait to move someplace warm (was a So. Cal. girl for about 11 years), but can't seem to talk my dh out of living in RI....

Oh well. Heading up to Boston shortly for something my sister is doing. have a wonderful day.
