Thank you all for the support. My time has come to an end. My sac is empty and I believe I passed the embryo last week. I will do one more ultrasound on Monday but the ultrasound will only show a black hole as the last.

We went for the ultrasound today and they couldn't see the baby or the heartbeat in the yolk sack. they said to come back next wednesday to re-check, but it doesn't look good.

Wish and Bat: I am so sorry! There really are no words for this other than that my thoughts are with you. Hopefully you will be back here in no time! Just remember that everything does happen for a reason (even though I know that is not what you want to hear at the moment I am sure).

Ladies, I am a slacker and this I know! But I do read I do!!

I have another cold due to the wonderful children at work. UGH so I think I will go and have some herbal tea...does anyone know if you can use the stuff you rub on your chest for night time? (Mind went blank of what it is called). Hope you all are doing great! The nausea has finally set in for me; not bad but it comes in waves which is not fun. Also, I have had a headache for like 4 days now...ugh

Hope you all are doing wonderful!

Hi Ladies
21bat i'msorry your scan didn't go well but hopefully there will be something to see on wednesday i'll be thinking of you i hope your not stressing to badly.

Hoekey wow sounds a little weird i've never experienced such a thing i have had dizzie spells but nothing like what you described i'd definately bechatting with your doctor ASAP.

Suga i think you asked as far as i know it's not safe to use vicks on your body while prenant perhaps you could ring a chemist for a professional answer its so hard i get really bad sinus during pregnancy and as far as i know i can't take anything. you could try inhaling some steaming water that might clear things i know there is also saline nasal sprays that you can use i'd ask a chemist though.

Ms is also coming in waves for me especially if i haven't eaten does anyone know when your muscles weaken during pregnancy i only ask because it doesn't matter what i do my back muscles get pulled really easy this last week any ideas would be good. just today my uterus feels more tender or something i can't really describe what it feels like but i'm not sure if it's normal it's nearly like period pain but very focussed on my uterus area it's nearly like what your ovaries feel like when over stimulated anyone else experiencing this at all man i wish my scan would come sooner so i can stop stressing so much.

on a good not my sister is also pregnant naturally of course like a rabbit and is due about 9 weeks before me but she'll be having a ceasar so it will be 7 weeks and if i have to have another ceasar i will be two weeks earlier to makeing the gap about 5 weeks apart when i was pregnant with ds my other sister was due with in a couple of days of my due date which was interesting makes fun guessing as to who would go first and of course the boy girl thing

any way ladies hope your all well and everythign is progressing nicely

Suga- Be careful with the vicks. I love the stuff and am also suffering from a cold, but I don't think you are supposed to use it. I have thought about putting it on my clothes instead of my skin... Also, I believe that there are some kinds of tea or ingredients that can be dangerous. You might want to google it and check your tea out.

I am having some on and off extreme (wakes me up) cramping. It is like bad menstrual pain. It comes and it goes, and I don't have any spotting...it is making me nervous! Has anyone else experienced this? I know that it could be stretching, but how long would that last? Would it be worse if I have multiples?

Sage and Jomae - I am also having lots of cramping this week. It is a bit sharper than before and centered on my uterus rather than around it like before. I get a weekly electronic newsletter from my doctor that goes over what to expect during that week of pregnancy and the week 8 one mentioned that cramps are common and normal. I was relieved to read that! As long as there is no bleeding along with the cramping, I think it is fine. I started back at my gym this last week too and while all I do is walk on the treadmill for 30-40 minutes, it seems to help with the cramps. Perhaps it is a coincidence but I always feel better after.

Suga - I am so sorry you are sick. Being around kids is a germy business for sure! I hope you feel better soon. I would call your doctor to see what you can use. Mine has said that I shuld use nothing but Tylenol without asking first. I am not sure about the Vicks rub. I would call your doctor. Is your headache from the cold or from all the hormones? Make sure to drink lots of water. I sometimes get headaches (really brutal ones) when I haven't had enough water. Take care!

I got the results back from my 3 hour glucose tolerance test and it looks as if I have passed with flying colors! All my readings are below the cutoff - some are dramatically below the cutoff. I am sure my doctor will discuss it with me at my next appointment on Tuesday. I can't wait for my second u/s. I just NEED to see my little bean to be reassured that all is progressing as it should! I am so neurotic!

Have a wonderful Sunday mommys!

Damn you ladies are busy over the weekends! I just thought I'd pop in and catch up, but you ladies are on a roll.

Bat- You said that the nurses are not hopeful, but don't loose faith just yet. No one knows what is in store for your little bean but God. I will pray that your visit Wednesday is a happy one. Take it easy until then.

Rio- I hear you about the sex thing! I'm dying to have sex and I forgot to ask if it's okay yet. But, DH said even if we are cleared he didn't want to do anything because he's afraid of hurting our little ones. It didn't bother him with his other five, but I suppose he just wants to be extra cautious because of everything we had to go through to get to this point. But I'm having the sex dreams and spontaneous "O's" like you had a couple of weeks ago

Suga- Damn you and those colds. I wouldn't use anything for them without clearing it with your RE first. Be careful!

Hokey- What a bizarre experience! I'm dying to know what it was. Let us know when you find out. Hopefully it was a one time thing

Gecko- WooHoo on passing your test!!!!!! I know you are probably so relieved. I'm really happy for you.

Sage- I've had some cramping too. I would call it tugging. I kind of over did it yesterday. I felt really good, so I vacuumed, did laundry, and changed the sheets on the beds. Then later that day, I had a constant tugging feeling where I know the beans are. And it lasted until this morning. So today I have vowed not to vacuum again for at least 10 more weeks and I am keeping my feet up. I just feel soooo lazy. I don't really go out and work (self employed) and I haven't even been cooking. Oh well. I'm sure it's just part of being preggers.

I hope all of you have a wonderful Sunday!!!!
~peace

Thanks ladies, yeah I did not buy any....more of wishful thinking haha. Colds are annoying as all get out! Orange juice and I have been great friends as well as some herbal tea every now and again (not too much tho).

Rio and weezie: I asked the sex question at my first appt. (horny much?) And my doc gave me the all clear as well as I was comfortable and no cramping etc. If you do cramp after an orgasm and it lasts a long time dont orgasm during sex. Just dont blow any air up there (hey someone did it before if they have to tell you not to!) and no foreign objects. But the husband is not as horny as I (TMI ladies? hehe) thus I dont get it near as much as I want it. I think he is secreatly afraid but will not tell me.

Sage: I get cramping if I do too much (like pick up kids at work or too much house work). So just take it easy! I was told not even to lift up wet laundry because it can weigh a lot. The husband has been doing a lot of the house work lately.

ME: I am tired of waking up at night peeing because it is hard to fall back asleep then I am tired at work and school all day long! UGH! Just annoying more than anything because I try to hold it as long as I can haha just so I do not have to get up. I think the headaches are the hormones and not getting enough water. I have been drinking a lot of sprite because it helps with the upset tummy but I need to start drinking more water I know.

I am off to study for a midterm! Have a great Monday everyone!

Hello all!
I have finally caught up on what has been going on with everyone - some terrific twins and singleton news, and the sad news of others.

Wish, I am so sorry for you, that just sucks. I hope to see you back on the site soon - I'll be thinking about you with love and hope -

Bat- don't give up hope- keep up the PMA and give it another few days

Tammy- hooray for the singletons!!!!!!!!!!

Kelly- congrats on adding to the twins list!

I've had my dear friend in for a visit for a few days, and a heck of a week at school - sorry it's been a while.
I'm eating a lot, am exhausted and a bit off balance - kind of get light-headed every now and again, and a select few friends that are driving me batty!
other than that - all is well here and feeling good and chubby!

love and baby karma

Happy Sunday girls!!! I hope that you all are doing well. I had a very nice day, though a bit tiring. After church DH and I went to the beach to look at the iceburgs. My DDs teach during second hour of church so we typically go hang out somewhere, me Barnes & Noble, DH Lowe's or Meynards. I just didn't feel like cooping myself up inside, it was very sunny out for the first time in days. So, we knew that the iceburgs would be big because of this violent winter we have had. They were awesome!!! They were so cool that after we picked the DDs up from church and had our regular Sunday dinner (it's actually lunch but we eat dinner like foods) with the in-laws we went back. We invited the in-laws to go with us and they did. We took the camera and took tons of pictures of us out on the burgs. There was this HUGE cavern of ice and we got some really nice pictures standing on it's edge. We took our Swissie with us too, she didn't much like climbing up the icey slopes but had fun all the same. Then we came home and I thought, well, I'll just lie down for a few minutes and the next thing I knew it was 7:00!!!! I popped out of bed and had DH run to the store to get some pizza crusts and Mozzarella cheese and we whipped up some homemade pizzas. Sounds so silly that a day like that would be so enjoyable to me but all the same I would say that this has been one of the best days I have had in a while. I hope that the rest of you ladies are enjoying your weekend as much as I have.

I have had no episodes like I had on Friday and I feel fine, but I will be mentioning it to my RE on our appointment Tuesday. I really hope and feel that it was all the water I drank so quickly after my meal.

Gecko I am so happy for you that you have passed your tests!!!! Keep up the good work. I bet walking on the treadmill is helping a ton. I am glad you don't have to change your diet to bland foods. What a bummer that would have been during pregnancy!!

Rio I can't wait, nor can DH, to get the ok for IC. I am praying that we get it Tuesday after our U/S shows that everything is great. Until then I guess I will have to live vicariousley through the rest of you girls who have gotten the go ahead. I have been having wierd big "O" dreams too, and none of them have been followed by cramping, so I consider that a very good indication that DH and I should be fine too.

Sugabeanz I am so sorry that you are dealing with another cold. What a bummer!! I know you can't use the Vicks medicine but there are Kleenex brand tissues that have the Vicks menthol on them. I used those a lot when I was battling the flu. It helped to just kind of stick one in my nose for about a minute before I went to bed. Try not to visualize it, it's kind of funny, DH always laughed at me, but it was soooo helpful. It also helps if your DH is as gassy as mine  !! They come in quite handy to help block out his bombs. Sorry TMI. Good luck.

Weezie Thanks for checking in. It's good to know that you are doing well. We worry about our ladies when we haven't heard from them in a bit.

Jomae That is really cool that you get to go through your pregnancy again with a sister. You can compare symptoms all the way through till the end. Are you close? My sis and I got pregnant usually within a year of each other so our kids are spread out in steps for four years or so. She had actually gone for a consultation last week to try for a baby with her new husband. So we may be able to keep the trend going :) .

Sage I still have a bit of cramping on and off too. Different than AF though. More like tugging and stretching and I feel very aware of where my uterus is. Last night and today my legs were very achey, crampy. Which is a bit frustrating. I remember that from my other pregnancies but that usually did not hit me until the last trimester from the excess weight. I had to sit down in church during the last prayer because they were so achey. I have only gained 4 lbs. so I can't imagine why this is already happening. But, cramps in any form are natural, try not to stress too much about yours. It stinks though that you are getting them in the middle of the night and messing up your sleep.

Okay, I know I am missing some of your girls, but I am thinking of you all. Only four more days and my embryo is officially a fetus!!!! I hope that at the U/S we can see a little more arm and leg definition. It may be too early yet but I hope we see something. By 9 weeks the arms and legs are no longer buds but real arms and legs though still small. I will be 8w4d according to the clinic's calculation, but from my calculation I will be 9 weeks exactly. Who knows what we'll see. I will be thrilled with whatever but don't we always want more????

thanks so much girls for your support!! I am trying to be optimistic, but i need to be realistic as well. i heard and read lots of stories about heartbeats not showing up until 7-13 weeks. i am just trying to stay busy and be as optimistic as i can until then.

the nurse said that if this time i'm not pregnant, they'd suggest putting back 2 embryos next time, which i'm ok with. but DH is totally against it. he said twins would be so hard and a hard pregnancy and everything. i dont know if i can convince him! Any ideas?

Also, do you all think i should get a second opinion in case they dont see anything on the ultrasound? if some people dont hear or see anything for 10 weeks, my doctor wont consider me pregnant after wed if they see nothing. and if i should get a second opinion, should it be another RE or maybe just a regular OBGYN will work??

Hi ladies
21BAT you could try the well if we put two back and get pregnant with twins think of the money you'll save less cycles to sharing clothesfor the bubs but hopefully you won'tbe needing to convince him and you'll hear the heart beat on wed

Hoekey yeah it'snice to be pregnant together i guess we are pretty close and yep already comparing notes i just hope she has a girl i really want the babies to be the same sex so they can grow up playing together and be close and all but seeing i really want a girl this time i hope she has one to but as i say boy or girl it's pretty sweet.

LOOPIE glad your feeling good and chubby itsnice to have good friends visit i haven't seen my best friend for over a year now she lives interstate so enjoy your time

Hi SUGA how much water are you trying to drink i try for atleast 2 litres a days i think the headaches just come with being pregnant water of not i know i was drinkinbg three litres a day with ds but still had them bad and often. i have one too at the moment but its from stress i just had to go back to the doctors for test results and they made me sit there for 2 hours while the doctors all had lunch to only be told all was fine you think they'd only make me come in if there was something to discuss so i need to de stress at the moment.

Weezi it's great dh is helping out so much with the house work iv'e been having cramps also i think i've been over doing it in the last few days DS has wanted to be up constantly and hes almost 13 kilos so not light i even had slight spotting last night so i'll have to ease up

GECKO glad your glucose test came back good what a releif hey.lucky you getting weekly updates how nice of your clinic what does week 6 say

SAGE i have cramping as i first wake up so much so that i can only pee inb little spurts until it stops cramping weird hey man theres so much to worry about

As for me i'm trying to destress from this wasted morning

Any oneknow how much weight is too much to carry

Hi all,

Horning in on your October club for a minute, hope that's ok. Was just reading some posts and had some replies for some of you. For those of you experiencing cramps, I had some SEVERE cramps early on (before and after the 2ww), to the point that I was doubled over. It's amazing how much the uterus grows and changes at this time, it's no wonder we feel it! So don't worry unless there's bleeding accompanying it.

21 Bat- So sorry your u/s didn't go as hoped, but really don't give up. I've read a number of posts on this forum of women who didn't see a hb/yolk sac at six weeks, but did see them at 7 weeks. You were only 6 weeks at the time of the u/s, right? I am sending positive vibes your way for a pleasant surprise on your next u/s. Good luck!

Congratulations to all you ladies. Yay! Enjoy your pregnancies!

Hello Mommies to Be!

Bat - keep your chin up! It sounds like there is a good chance that you'll get good news on Wednesday when the littles one show their heartbeats. When I went to my appointment at 7 weeks, my RE say Twin A and immediately said he saw the heartbeat. Twin B he said he didn't see the heartbeat but then looked again and said 'there it is'. So, even though it was there he missed it at first - and I was at 7 weeks. So, your chances are great!

Jomae - I think it is so much fun that you and your sister are pregnant together. What a fun thing to share together! I am hoping that one of my friends gets pregnant in the next few months so that we can share this together and then enjoy our maternity leave together.

Gecko - congrats on your test results! That is awesome news that you passed!

Hoekey - sounds like you had a great weekend! It is fun to have those unexpected yet amazing days!

Suga - hope you feel better! getting sick sucks when you aren't pregnant so I can only imagine what it is like when you are! I am hoping to avoid that experience as long as I can!

Hi to all the other ladies I missed!!!

We had a fun weekend. Saturday I took my nieces to the theatre and then my family came over for lunch. We told my parents (although my mom already knew) and my brothers. They were all pretty excited! And then shocked when I told them it was twins! My mom even had a present for me so I have opened my first baby gift. I know that some people don't want any presents this early, but I am okay with it and it was actually a lot of fun opening little baby things!

Yesterday, I had a much needed 2 hour nap in the afternoon! and we also started to do some of those chores around the house that we need to get done over the coming months. So, it was a fun and productive weekend!!!

When we were out shopping yesterday I was sure that I was going to throw up. At one point I told my DH that we had to leave the store immediately. It is the worst feeling. This m/s comes and gos but I never know when it'll hit! The other thing is that it isn't linked in any way to food. Strange!

Hope everyone has a great day!!!
