Well girls I have some very bad news. We went for the U/S today and our baby died. They think probably a day or two ago. It measured fine but there was definitely no heartbeat. I am to stop all meds and wait to have the miscarriage naturally. Hopefully within two weeks. If I have not had it by then they will schedule a D&C. DH and I are very upset. I am sorry to put such a damper on all the girls getting their results today. I pray that yours went better than mine. I don't expect to post anymore but I may check is from time to time if I can stand it. I am praying for healthy pregnancies for you and wish you the best.

I am really struggling with this so any prayers for grace would be much appreciated.

Just a last post, Rhogam is for mommies who have RH Negative factor blood. Most people have Positive blood, such as A+, B+, AB+, O+, etc... I myself have RH- blood, mine is A-. The negative factor in your blood can fight with the baby if it's blood type is +, see's it as foreign. After all live births and miscarriages you need to get the Rhogam shot. You also need to get it during the pregnancy about 2/3 of the way in. My oldest daughter is also A- so I did not need the shot after having her, but my youngest is +, so I got the shot after having her. (This is not why my baby died, do not panic) Having Negative RH factor just can cause issues with subsequent births after your fist one. Typically if you go on to have three children and have never had the Rhogam shot, which does not happen now adays do to all the knowledge and prenatal care, then your third child is at risk of being stillborn, or needing a complete blood transfusion immediately after birth. I hope that answers your questions.

suga - I would definitely check out some other obs. I have never heard of someone having to stay on progesterone that long.

Bat - Good luck tomorrow! I am praying that you get some great news. Please let us know.

Sage - I think exercise is good for the baby as long as your heart rate doesn't go up too high. I would check with your doctor to see what they suggest.

Katie - No yacking yet, but I do get queasy after each and every meal. Some days it is worse than others though.

Weeze - Good luck with the - ummmm- your know - wink wink! Hope there is no spotting.

rio- Any news yet? I hope your u/s went well!

I went for my u/s today and when they weighed me in I had actually LOST 2 pounds by their scale. By my scale I have gained four pounds. Awesome. Anyway the baby measured just perfect - 8w6d which is exactly where I am and the heartbeat was super strong. We could see the head and body and little arm buds! Very cool. The only "complication" at this point is a small pool of blood under the placenta. My doctor says it is very normal and will either get absorbed or I may have a small amount of bleeding. She said as long as it was only a little blood not to worry. In any case, she took me off the baby aspirin one week early as a precaution. She didn't seem concerned so I am trying not to worry about it either. She didn't tell me to reduce my activities or anything either, so I guess it isn't a big deal. I have been "graduated" from my IVF clinic and will see my regular obgyn in two weeks. Hooray!

Words cannot express how I feel right now. I am truly sorry honey. Please take the time to grieve with DH. I will pray for you and pray for your little angel that left too soon. I wish you all the best.

Gecko - great news on your bean!

I am very upset about the news above and it is almost hard to post good news. I wish they were Hoekeys news too...
The bean had a heartbeat of 174, and actually measured 8w5d (we are technically 8w2d). Thank you for all the good healthy wishes!

21bat
- I am praying for good news for you. Please let us know as soon as you can, got my fingers crossed!

rio - they havent done any more beta tests since the first two they did after the 2ww. they said that even if they're going up, it wont explain the empty sac they saw last week. I'm feeling a bit more optimistic, thanks to you all! But i think we've also come to terms with the reality. if we get good news tomorrow then it'll be a great surprise. otherwise, we'll take it easy for a few months, take a trip, and then do an FET cycle probably in May :( sad that i've already thought it through this long.

Mia - sorry about the problem with your in-laws...that's a tough situation. I'd probably want to try and make up, but if you both can't trully get past being mad at eachother, then maybe it's better to leave it alone. You dont want any bad vibes around your pregnant belly :) and the baby!

Tammy - congrats on the great OB report!! Healthy baby - yey!! :) What more can you ask for!

loopie - sounds like a stupid receptionist you talked to at your OB! I would have yelled :) stupid people like that piss me off :)

rio (again) - i am really gassy too!  are you taking anything for it? I want to start, but i will wait til tomorrow to know what the diagnosis is for sure. it's because of the PIO, right?

weezie - i was mad at Dh the other day too and tried to give myself the PIO shot, but i just couldn't make myself stick the needle in!! I had to call DH to do it anyway :)

what do you guys think about getting a second opinion in case they dont see anything tomorrow? i heard sometimes they dont see anything til 10-13 weeks...but they will consider me not pregnant if there's nothing tomorrow.

Has anyone heard about immune disease testing? i heard that sometimes your body can attack the embryo thinking it's something bad ad it gets absorbed into your body, which may be what happened with me. has anyone had these tests done before starting IVF?

Hoekey - i am so sorry to hear your news :( :( :( I wish you and DH the very best - take some time to be together and maybe take a vacation. Let your body rest a bit before you start trying again. I'm thinking about you.

21bat- I have heard about that when your body attacks or rejects the fetus. I am sorry I really don't know what the test is, hopefully you won't have to worry about it. I remember one of my ppeliminary tests being about that, or it was sperm anti-body, I don't remember. I probably would get a second opinion before giving up if the news is not good tomorrow. Again, I am praying it won't come to that and that you see a healthy HB tomorrow! Got my fingers crossed for you! I am not taking anything for the gas, just torturing DH ;) the nice thing about having two huge dogs is that you can always blame it on them ;)

21Bat - I had the autoimmune testing done after several failed attempts. It came back fine but was something they wanted to rule out after repeated failures and early miscarriages. Best of luck with your u/s! I think that there is a good chance that you little one will be pumping its heart good and fast this time around!!!!

Tammy, Rio and Gecko - congrats on the great results!!!

Suga - good plan about looking for another OB. I sure wouldn't want to have to live with those pessaries for 9 months if I didn't have to!!!

Sage - definitely keep up the exercise but make sure that you staying within the recommended limits set by your doctor. I heard my HBs at 7 weeks but I intentionally delayed my appointment because I didn't want to worry if no HB was detected. So, you might be lucky enough to see it but if you don't then that is completely normal too!

Katie - I am not yacking yet but I am convinced it is on its way as there have been many times when I ran to the washroom thinking I was about to and then nothing. What a horrible feeling!

Loopie - you'd think that person you dealt with had pregnancy brain. My goodness. I would call back and hopefully get someone who understands the IVF world a little better!!!

Tammy - mac and cheese - sounds yummy! I now think I need to have that at lunch!

As for me, well my clinic was to fax in my referral form to the High Risk OB last Thursday. I had heard he is a fantastic doctor who has fantastic nurses so I was very excited at the thought of having him. I called his office last week to confirm that they were still accepting new patients with due dates in October. I didn't hear anything on Thursday or Friday last week so on Monday I called my clinic to see whether they had heard anything about a potential appointment and they said they heard nothing yet but that the referral had been faxed last Thursday. This morning I decided to call the OB's office because still no appointment! I spoke to the very nice lady who answers the phone and she said that no referral had been received. Yikes!!! She did say that there are a couple of spaces left for the doctor so all was no lost. I called my clinic and they said they would 'look into it'. Don't look into it, just resend the form!!! Anyway, I'll call back to the OB's office later today to confirm that they received it. My goodness, I wouldn't think I would need to be on top of these things so much!

Hope everyone has a great day!!!
