Just an update...after the last beta I did call and ask for one more. I guess I just needed closure. So I went in yesterday and they called back and low and behold, my beta went from 37 to 106! They told me to start the meds again (I never stopped them) and come in on Tuesday. I know that I am not out of the woods yet, and it is very possible that this still is not viable...but darnit - I wasn't ready to give up when my RE was and now we still have (a little) hope...

Exercise and IVF

Post by kate65 »

Hi, I'm new to the board, going through my first IVF. I just found out today that my egg retrieval will be Monday and have about 12 follicles. I'm really excited!

Can you all tell me what you're hearing about exercise, because I get different info from every nurse at the clinic? I usually run or do spinning. Some tell me anything's fine as long as it's low impact. Others say you have to watch your body temp, so shouldn't do anything more rigorous than walking. One nurse told me anything -- including running -- is fine until the transfer, then I should stop all activity. Another told me I should have stopped at the beginning of the cycle. Help!

Goog Morning Ladies!

I just wanted to check in. I had my first US yesterday and my antral follicle count is 17 (7 on right and 10 on left) :P That is good I suppose. I do not remember antral count on last cycle but ended with 21 eggs retrieved. I took 300 units of Gonal-F last night and will take 225 today and Sunday. This is a bit lower dosage than last time, but not much. I am going to trust my RE thought...he is the expert. :)

CONGRATS again to all the BFPs!! :P :P :P

Cornybaby - I am praying for you... hopefully you just had a late implant..fingers crossed

J&C - Good Luck Sunday...only 1 day left and you will know how many eggs you have, but remember...it only takes 1 healthy embryo :P

Keita - Don't lose hope..I will say the same to you...it only takes 1. My last cycle, I had 21 eggs retrieved but only 3 made it to blast. Oh, and the E2 is not suppose to get too high and that is probably why they're reducing your meds. Again, on my last cycle my E2 got so high, they had to presribe Femara to bring it down.

Sue Hu - Good Luck today!! :P :P

Kate65 - Welcome! :D and Good Luck on Monday. My retrieval will most likely be the next Monday (17th)

Indie-rad - Good Luck Monday! come on BFP!!! We need to have more BFPs :D

Sorry if I missed anyone. I feel like I am the late bloomer of the bunch. I won't have my beta until 1st week in April :( Please keep me in your thoughts.

Take care and talk to you later.

cornybaby - WOW!!!! Keep us updated on the great news!

kate - Welcome to the board!! My ER is tomorrow, I believe Sue's is today, so we'll be really close together. My RE says only walking after the ET. Although RunnerKate has been exercising like a mad woman - Go Kate Go!!! Makes me want to get off my rear and exercise...well, not really. :D

Jill_n_Mark - I thought I was the late bloomer. My beta won't be until the end of the last week of March. We're right on schedule. :D

We're excited for the ER tomorrow. DH was so cute this morning. He brought me breakfast in bed today and said "Tomorrow, we're going to go make a baby". At some point, you just have to laugh at the whole situation of this occuring at the doctor's office. I still thought he was awful cute though.

J&C - pls. don't be alarmed... some of the women I spoke to today that have been thru ER's before said they never had any cramping. So, it's different for all. Plus, I'm a baby.. I don't usually get cramps w/ AF. So, that's why it's unusual for me.

Good luck!!

Sue Hu--I definitely had cramping....I remember crying in bed for 40 min. b/c I had climbed two sets of stairs and it felt like something was being jabbed in my vajayjay. It goes away. By the afternoon the day after the ER, I was totally recovered.
