Thanks RunnerKate, that's good to know. And YES... it's the vajayjay soreness that is sooo unusual and uncomfortable. :-(
And now my ovaries are sore too.. oh joy. Anyway, hopefully it will be worth it :-)

update

Post by keita1981 »

Good morning ladies, i hope you all are doing well. I had my appt today... today was stim day 8. So far my endo has gone up to 13mm and my follicles have definitely increased. I think I have about 20 now. the biggest one was 21 and i have some19s, some 18s, some 16s, some 14s and I believe the rest may be 9-11. So, I think they are definitely looking at ER on Wednesday. I have to stim today/tonight and also tomorrow morning. I also go in for another stick and stir Monday as well. So, I will update you all on that also. Thanks ladies for all you do. Oh the doc said out of them there is about 8-10 possible mature follicles, which I'm happy to hear.

I'm back from the ER. The worst part was the IV stick, which wasn't bad at all. They retrieved 10 eggs and later called and said that 8 were mature. Very pleased with that number. We'll just wait for the fertility report tomorrow. My uterus/ovaries are sore, but as long as I lay down and take Tylenol, I'm doing okay.

More later....headed back to bed. I'm taking tomorrow off from work too. I never take sick days, and tomorrow sounds like a good excuse to take one.

Jill_n_Mark - Thanks for the calendar and the pretty banner. It made me smile. :D

Hi Ladies,

So, we got our fertilization report today but it is rather disappointing and nerve-wracking!!!

Out of 17 retrieved, 8 were immature, so that left 9. Out of 9 only 2 fertilized !! :( :? :(  :?

So, 2 is fine for implantation... BUT.. they may not even make it till Tuesday (3 day transfer). All thoughts, prayers and crossed fingers and toes are appreciated :-)

J&C - let us know about ur report tomorrow!!

Sue Hu: Don't stress over the numbers. 2 is a perfectly good number for the transfer. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

J&C, RunnerKate and Sue Hu: I'm glad you wrote about the pain. My husband has the idea that we'll go out after the retrieval and enjoy a day off work together, so I'll set him straight.

Jill_n_Mark: Thanks for pulling all the dates together. It really helped me get everyone straight. Tomorrow I'm in for ER, with ET tentatively planned for 3/14.

We're having the embryonic genetic testing done between ER and ET. Anyone try that? What were your results?

Sue Hu, we had a very similar situation with only two fertilizing and both made it happily until the transfer date. I am sure your little embies will be fine too :)

Kate, what do they do exactly for the genetic testing?

Kate

My husband and I are having embroy testing done. PGD was the orginal reason we were going through IVF. I have a known genetic condition that was a 50/50 chance of passing on. After the test was built it brings it down to about a 2% chance. For the place I use they have only made one mistake in the last several years. After two IVF cycles they have determined that my eggs cause cell fragmentation. Since I havent had a child I dont know what the outcome would have been.. but I understand what you are going through.

HI ladies!!!!

I just wanted to post a little something. I know many of you are talking about ER and taking the day after off work. I think it truly varies from person to person. I had no cramping the day of, I was tired and took a nap for a few hours but I wasn't really crampy. My ovaries were bothersome but that was from the start of stims. The following day I felt fine. I could tell something was different but certainly wasn't in pain.

Now, my friend, after her ER, she was crampy. Nothing that she couldn't handle but I think more uncomfy than I was.

So it goes to show, each of us are different. Just listen to your body.

Sue Hu - I also had only 4 eggs retrieved out of which only 2 fertilized and grew well for day3 transfer. So as everyone else said, don't worry about the numbers. What is important is to have good quality embies at the end of it. Hoping that your embies grow well for your day 3.

Good luck to all the stimmers. For those waiting for ET "grow embies grow"!!!!

My test is tomorrow morning, just a few more hours to go!

Thanks Ladies for all your support and encouragement!

I am trying my best to keep PMA! A tub of Haagen Dazs helps :-)

I guess I am just still baffled by the extremely low percentage of fertilized per mature eggs retrieved... (less than 25%) but I know I need to get over it.

Good luck tomorrow Indie and Kate!!

Hey Ladies

Jill n Mark~ Thanks so much for the chart. It is great to see exactly where everyone is. Sorry I didn't post the test date it is 3/17. How is your stimming going? How do you feel? I hope no side effects. It's amazing how fast time seems to speed by once stimming is under way!!!Image

Sue- Keep up your spirits. I know numbers can be so disheartening during this experience, but two is great- those two embies can have better numbers than someone with even more. You want the strongest- so you can get your BFP. Also- just a note. I know we have the hypothyroidism in common. I asked my clinic to draw my TSH levels when they would draw my blood periodically so that I didn't have to go to two different places for blood withdrawal- Hope this helps!!!

J&C great report- keep us posted!!! I am so happy that you are pleased.

Keita- it is great that your stimming is going so well. According to the chart, you ER wlll be on my birthday- I will be praying for you.

Indierad- I did not forget you. All of the blinkies came from this site. http://www.freebabydust.com Just scroll to the bottom of the page.

As always tons of Image and Image

As for me well I'm Image
