Kate

I hope you are feeling ok after your ER. My husband and I are going to try for IVF#3 this summer. I also got pregnant both times and miscarried right away. I know it is really hard. We didnt expect we were going to have any problems getting pregnant. Although I am still young and produce a lot of eggs each time, after the PGD we only have around 1/2 of them. And then they arent great quality. I also don't want to use donor eggs. I will keep my fingers crossed for you and keep my posted.

Hi Jill,

I am undergoing my ER around 3/31. At least that is what the Dr is telling me. This is my first IVF. It has been more than I had expected. Just started the Lupron injections on 3/7. Please keep me posted. We are keeping the IVF a secret from our friends and family so I dont have anyone to discuss this with. Its nice to hear about it from others.

jak - Welcome to the board! We've shared with friends and family, but most don't get it anyway. This board has been a wonderful outlet for me and a great place to ask questions and to learn also. This is our first IVF, and I'm just waiting for ET. Good luck with those injections. :D

Indie - CONGRATS!!!! Thats is so awesome!!
J&C - good luck with those embies, that's a great fertilization report!!! ItsGottaWork - thanks for sharing your info., it really made me feel better.
Good luck Kate with your fertilization report!! Thanks for keeping track of us :-). I am still a a little crampy today.. but more anxious than anything else. I was expecting a call all day from my Dr. to tell me the embies didn't make it.. but no call. Hopefully they will pull through till tomnorrow afternoon!!

How long do you ladies think that we need to rest after ET?

I think I will take the following day off but more than that may drive me mad... It's better to stay pre-occupied at work, I find.

I have not shared with many. We have told our parents and few people at work due to having to take time off, but other than that...this board is where I get support. These ladies are GREAT!! :P :P If you have any questions, please don't be afraid to ask. This is just my second and hopefully last IVF cycle.

I hope you all do mind the sparklees...I am just learning how to get them to work..so I am going nuts

Ok, so here is my latest. U/S shows about several follies at 10,9,8 and 7!!WooHoo!!! :P Any my estrogen must be getting high again b/c tonight...no Gonal-F, only Lupron at 5 units. Last cycle, my estrogen got too high, so I am hoping this will help with the quality of my eggs.

Yeah, IndieRad! That is so amazing :) Enjoy every minute of it!

I have a question for all of you...I know progesterone can cause you to have sore nipples, but can it also cause you to have a weird tingly sensation? My body has pretty much told me that I'm not pregnant, but then starting yesterday my nipples have been tingly (sorry for tmi) and I am feeling hopeful again. Any thoughts?

1st ovf-icsi..now on 2ww

Post by phillips79 »

hi my name is angela, i'm 30 my dh is 28 brandon, we have male factor infertility after going to a few doctors who didnt think the low sperm count was a big deal we finally found a RE in our area and luckily on our insurance plan. and icsi was suggested as the best option, out of 14 eggs, we transfered 2 embryos on 3/10/08 and now are just waiting to see if it all worked. we live in south texas, just moved here from vegas, and looking to start a family. we have our fingers crossed..its gona be a long 2 weeks. :)

we didnt expect all the shots, i was on bcp, then lupron, then gonal f, and finally hcg, and progesterone in oil which i'm still on until further notice, the most painful part was probably the retrival but they gave me some demerol.

the neatest part was when we got to see the embryos, the RE printed out a photo of each one that was going to be transfered, and watching them being implanted was really cool.

fertility lifelines was great about the medicines, we were able to get most of them at walgreens since they were covered better under our insurance, fertility lifelines has a great hotline to call for support 24 hours a day.
