ladies, i appreciate it! Kimbers I guess the 12th is a good day then, huh? LOL
Well tonight is the night I triggered. I go in tomorrow for b/w and pre-op and i am to be at my doc office Wednesday at 9:15 to get ready for 10:15 ER. thanks again.
me/26 & dh/27 ttc since 2005 pit. tumor taking bromocriptine. Tubal IF. m/c on 11/06 natural. 01/07 ectopic preg, 12/07 another ectopic & both tubes removed. ER 3/12/08, ET 3/15/08 2 perfect 8-celled embabies transfered. test date 3/28/08. 1 TOTSICLE.
Well, another Stick and Stir this morning. No trigger tonight. My RE wants to hold out until Thursday for trigger, which means a Saturday morning ER.
I don't have a problem w/ this except my US hurt like crazy today. They kept having to press on my abdomen and the pressure was horrible. Luckily, my DH went w/ me to the appointment, so I was squeezing his hand. I don't think I broke any bones in his hand, but I wouldn't guarantee it.
He says we have five real good follicles and he wants two more to catch up. So, I go in for another Stick and Stir tomorrow morning.

Got our fertility report this morning and it sounds good. They retrieved 9 eggs, all 9 of them were mature and 8 fertilized. Next thing to worry about is the initial quality, which we should know tomorrow or Thursday, then off for PGD (assuming we make it that far).
Angela and Brandon and Jak40, welcome. I just joined a week ago and am really grateful to the board. This is a great place to get advice and to find out what to expect. Jak, we've only told a handful of people, too, and are keeping it very low key with those we have told. If it doesn't work out, I don't want to explain that to a lot of people.
Sue, my doctor says 2 - 3 days of total bed rest after ET (only get up to shower or use the bathroom), but I think most recommend less.
Jill_n_Mark, thanks again for the update. It really helps me keep track and it's encouraging to see all those BFPs!
Indie, congratulations!!!!
Amanda, it's good to hear what you experienced. I think I'd rather just know if the quality's not so good, so I don't get my hopes up if I get pregnant. You're not on Jill_n_Mark's list. Where are you in the process?
Kate

BEANER - I am so sorry for your bad news. It is so hard to deal with a BFN. Please let us know what is next for you, will you be starting a new cycle soon?
Take care of yourself.

Beenar - I am so sorry about your BFN. I hope you can take some time off before your next steps.
kate65 - your fert report sounds great!! If you do PDG does that mean you would do a 5day transfer instead of 3-day?
Angela - welcome! Yeah the 2ww is hard but the 3 hour wait for the blood test report yesterday was even worse! But hang in there. It will all be worth the wait! Didn't they give you anasthesia for ER? I had the anasthesia and was totally out and didn't feel a thing.
jak - welcome. We haven't told a lot of people too though my parents and in-laws know my history and that we are having trouble. They don't know any details of what we are doing. I have told my brother because he is a good listener and doesn't dish out any unwanted advice/comments etc.. and a close friend knows all the details. But none of them have gone through IUIs and IVFs. I joined this group begining of this year and it has been great. All the ladies here are wonderful and its such a great support system. You can ask any questions you want. Its just been a blessing for me.
Sue, J&C - good luck with ET. Sue - my clinic didn't precribe a whole lot of rest after ET though I did take the day off and took it easy the next couple of days.
brandy - I haven't had any of the symptoms you described. Sunday night I was sure AF was coming soon and then monday morning AF symptoms were gone! I have just been extremely exhausted and yesterday was the worst. Other than that nothing much going on. So just hang in there till your test.
Hey everyone: Our 4 embies are holding strong, and our transfer will be tomorrow morning. (Yesterday, they mentioned that there were 2 other possibilities, but they ended up not splitting.....so we're holding onto our 4 strong ones.) I'm taking the next 2 days off work to just lay around and put my feet up.
I'm wondering now how many embies RE will want to transfer. I was hoping for 3, but I don't know if they will only freeze 1. I guess we'll find out in the morning. I'm so excited that we've made it to this point. Trying to keep with the PMA.
What does PDG stand for? I can't figure it out.
Keita - Good luck on the ER. Let us know how many eggs they retrieve.
Kate - WOW - GREAT fertility report!! And 8 fertilized - Awesome!
Sue - how are your embies doing and when is your transfer?
Beaner - I'm so sorry about the BFN.
Me and DH - 37
TTC - 7 years, PCOS and 1 blocked tube
IVF #1 w/ICSI...DD born Oct. '08
IVF #2 w/ICSI...BFN
IVF #3 - FET....ectopic pregnancy
HE already knows the outcome.
Ladies...my last beta came in at 1182!!! It's an official BFP for me! I can't believe it! They wanted to give up on me when it was a 37. I'm out of beta hell and don't have to go back until my first u/s which is March 24th!!! Sorry for being all about me right now, but I just can't help it. When I calm down I'll go back and catch up with everyone!
PGD = Prenatal Genetic D...??? I can't remember what the D stands for, maybe diagnosis.
Basically, they take one cell from each of your embryos late on day 3 and send it to a lab that can check all the chromosome pairs. If there are any abnormalities, they rule out that embryo. They say they can detect the 20 most common chromosomal abnormalities that way. And chromosomal abnormalities are the most common reason for miscarriage, so that would vastly improve my odds (3 miscarriages so far).
They get the results the next morning, which means I'll have the transfer on day 4 (to answer Indie's question). Amanda's doing PGD too and may be able to fill in some of my gaps.
