geckogirl: I did have a piercing that I took out before I went into transfer.

I called my doc yesterday and told them what I had been feeling and he asked me to come in. When he checked my naval he didn't feel anything out of normal. He said it could be a hernia but I would have to have an abdominal ultrasound. he said that he wasn't that alarmed about it and I could take some tylenol. It actually feels a little better today. Thanks for everyones support. I go for my second scan on Monday. I can't wait till I see my babies

Sassy: OMG!!!! I almost screamed when I saw that. I definitely an't wait to see you Discovery Health Channel!!! I will be praying for you and babies.

Sugabeanz: That was a great deal for the crib. i hope I run into some deals like that since i have to buy two as well.

I am a bit stunned!
US today showed five heartbeats.
Five.
Quintuplets.
Apparently one of the embryos split.

Four of them look good and healthy.
One of the twins is significantly smaller and has a slow heartbeat.

We are excited, scared, anxious, giddy, elated, etc all at once.

Will be back for personals tomorrow...
OMG - I can only imagine the mix of feelings you have!!! I am at a loss for words!!! holy cow!! I thought there were three - were they just unable to see the others?? CONGRATS!!

Kildean: glad the belly button is feeling better - better be safe than sorry and have the doc check it llike you did. ANy m/s for you?

kelly: glad you got it settled and will get in sooner for an appt.

Cin: how are you showing so soon with one baby?? Do you think you can tell?

Hope everyone is doing well. I got an online teaching job - just part-time, but I am very happy cuz this might be one way of working from home with the baby! We still arent telling anyone - though I am not sure what we are waiting for... I guess until dh feels comfortable.

Alright lots of cleaning and papers to grade.... fun fun...

gecko: I teach college English. But there are some tutoring companies that let you tutor online. I cant remember the name of the one I am thinking of - but if you do a tutor search through google you might find the name of some.

Hi girls quick question. Is your first trimester really until you are 12 weeks? Aren't we going on a 40 week calendar? I am confused! Then shouldn't it be past 13 weeks then?
Does anyone know what the statistics are for 10 to 12 weeks?

I am so happy today! We went to my OB and he is AWESOME! We talked about all the tests and everything, we are going to schedule the Nuchal for 12 weeks and go from there. I don't want to do an amnio but I will if we have to. He said that he only needs to see me every 4 weeks but would be happy to do an u/s every two weeks or even every week if that made me feel better! :D He is so cool! We decided on 2 weeks.

We are technically 9 weeks today and the little bean measured 9w and 5 days!!! :D :D His/her HB was 170. The Doc even gave us a video of the u/s! While we were watching we could see the limbs and head. He said the placenta looks great, the sac and everything. The baby even moved for us and did a couple of little hicup like movement! I started craying! DH was so happy and he said "Thank you for letting me be part of this" :) Apparently his ex never wanted him to go to appts or see anything or even let him touch her! But I am glad she was such a B*** :) Cause then it is like the first time for him!!! :D I am so happy!

I will do personals later got to run to a meeting! :) hope everyone is having a fabulous day!

Sassy- DAMN!!!! :D I am speechless. You are a remarkable woman. I hope you and your entire "flock" are doing okay. Rest up and take care of all those beans!!!

Rio- Super cool doc. OMG. I hope mine is as good. And kudos on a great visit today. And how wonderful that DH is able to share every moment with you. So cool 8) BTW, my EDD is 10/23. Of course we know I will probably never carry to term. But with my luck, I will weigh over 200 lbs and be miserable and carry to term. Geez!

Kildean- glad to hear the button is better.

Kelly- your persistance apparently has paid off. Glad you got an earlier appointment. My first OB appointment is April 1 too. But I will only be 11 weeks.

Tammy- what's been going on with you? How are you feeling?

I went to RE today. I'm 7w6d and babyA measured 7w6d with a HB of 174. And baby B measured 7w5d with a HB of 174. Lots of great pics of both beans!

Sassy: Holy Crap! That is all I can say and God be with you! Sheesh! I read that and told my husband and we both just had our jaws on the floor.

Rio: yay 9 weeks! I am glad your OB is good for you!!

Kelly: Mine is not till April 3 and I will be 13 weeks. They said I have to be seen 12 weeks or later for some reason or another. I am going to call to see if I can do it the week before or at least a few days earlier. I need to see them again! Also, twins here and they dont seem to care? Like it is nothing to worry about how far apart I go? I am glad I am not the only one who has experienced this.

Weezie: Your big baby! I can not wait to get my measurements and hear the heart. I saw the heart but I want to hear it.

Rio: First tri is 12 weeks but you are right if you look at it that way it is like 12 or 14 weeks. I dont understand it either. I just know my due date haha
Your baby is measuring big! Nice!

Go teachers gecko and mia! I am preschool but want to go to 3 or 4 eventually. I am taking time off though until they are in kindergarten. I just have to keep up with my certification

As for me: I hate getting up at night and peeing! I dont sleep at all when I get done! Thus I am tired all the time! I mean I love it because it means my babies are growing but SHEESH! lol. Also, I am getting a cold or sinuses are acting up cause of the pollen. UGH! Maybe those are my symptoms instead of the ms.

Sassy- WOW- amazing- you've got yourself a basketball team!!!! I hope everything goes great for you, i can only imagine how shocked and thrilled you must be- and to have done your 1st FET after 7 fresh? and a set of idents in there to boot- congratulations
what wonderfully incredible news!!! the universe wouldn't give you more than you can handle- I'm sure you can do it!!!!

I am so tired and have wild cravings for olives- i've always liked them, but a whole, big jar in 3 days???? pretty weird eating habits right now and a bit of tummy tugging-and pimples on my cheeks-grrrrrr, oh and my boobs- ....
I went to a proper bra shop, got fitted, and i swear there was enough fabric on this thing to sail a ship! I'm normally a 34DD, and so she brings out this horrible thing, and says, "we'll just put a little tuck in this, and, well, we can take it out when you get bigger" and I'm like, umm, is this my only choice?-"yep, it's your best option" so I buy it, and get around to asking, uh, so what's the size.... 34H !!!!!!!!!!!!  :x wtf??? I didn't even know they made that size-

I got it home, washed it, and put it on- what a waste of 50 bucks, b/c i'm never going to wear it -it made me feel so awful and unattractive- like my breasts were rubbing against my arms!!!! went to Target the next day, picked up 8 random bras and tried them on at home and found 1 42DD nursing bra I can alter the band to make work for now, and it was $12.99 ha!!! I've also found a couple of online shops that have big girl sizes, so I'll probably go that route soon, but I hate to buy and ship, and return- bra shopping has always been a nightmare for me -usually taking 5-6 hours to get just 1 that works - but now I will be lucky to get any, and I'm definitely showing in the belly - guess folks will just have to think i'm fat for a few more weeks, or til I get fed up with feeling fat and frumpy

take care all! 1 more week until US #2 and OB/midwife appt

To the girls planning #2 right away:

Have any of you asked your clinics when you can come back for baby #2? I asked and the first nurse said "3 months for a vaginal deliver and 1 year for a c section". That didn't sound right to me so I called back today and got a different nurse. She said "3 months for vaginal or c section, makes no difference." What have you guys heard?
