Hi Nims, good to hear from you. Don't worry about not feeling much yet, they say 18 to 20 weeks is average for 1st baby but some don't feel it til later than that. A week ago I was only feeling the odd flutter when I lay in bed and really concentrated and now its getting more often but still only when I'm relaxed. You'll feel it very soon, I'm sure. I'm a bit nervous waiting for the scan too.

I went to the docs yesterday evening about my headaches and got quite a shock when they suggested acupuncture - I never knew you could get that at the GP So anyway she stuck 6 needles in my neck and shoulders and left me in a darkened room for 10 minutes. Afterwards I felt totally different, I hadn't realised how tense I'd been. I had the best night's sleep in weeks and have felt so much better today.

Su: Glad the acupuncture worked! It is amazing what those lil needles can do!

Nimble: Ppl are just trying to make you feel good by telling you you are small - I bet you are nice and fat - I mean big, I mean that the baby is noce and plump in there! I am sure you feel better at the 20 week scan. I havent had any m/s in almost a week - makes me a bit nervous - but I am still ffeeling exhausted - so that is reassuring.

Stephjim: Yeah grow follies grow!! I know isnt easier to have a date to look forward to?? Ok so Easter egg hunt is scheduled for Wed or Thursday - sounds great!!

Hope: Good luck today sweetie! I hope you recoer from the meds nicely and arent in pain. Cant wait to hear the report!!

Mir: Yeah ppl are stupid. I kinda agree with Peqe - the doc is the one that should have been monitoring the fert meds! It is hard though when we want babies so bad to make drastic decisions! That is why I was upset with my RE when we had talked about 2 embies and then on ET day he is like so wanna do 3 -um what happened to your oh so conservative approach?? any way - I am digressign a bit. Ppl are just stupid. I have a lot of friends that are anti IVF - I have just distanced myself from them b/c I dont need negativity in my life.

ICSI: Glad you handled the porn issue! Sounds like you did a great job!

Peqe: Ummm why is it hump day???

Good Evening/Night/Morning/Afternoon Ladies (think that covers everyone!)

How are u all? Good and well one would hope!

Me - well im doing - ok! Still in a bit of pain (when i go to the loo and for about an hour after mostly) have been given injectable annasetic today which helps a lot (dont worry its not a needle, its plastic which i stick up my arse and release the liquid - ha ha ha! I can see all ur faces at the mo

Its not very plesent i grant you - laying on the bed - my right leg cocked up in the air and trying to balance the mirror (so i can see what im doing obvisouly lol) with my right foot - its like an obstacle course - but the releif from the pain takes over how gross it really is lol and after what i have been thru the last few mths, its nothing lol!


DH is away on business (maybe its just aswell with the way my arse is - he has no chance of sex anyway lol) so im bored shitless (pardon the pun LOL) i dont want to go to bed, i get lonely up there on my own, so i tht i wud come and use u lot - to pass the time away like

I got a call off the nurse at hosp yesterday asking me which drug i wud prefer to start down regging - the nasel spray or the injection - i opted for the injections like i had the last time! I dont like the idea of sniffing - wud prefer to get it all over in one clear jab of the needle, and not have to worry untill the following morning

So she told me i wud get an appt soon (before the 24th march) to go over everything and to pick up my drugs and my schedule (oh the excitment!) so as u can see from my ticker .....

Queen Becks is about to become a fully fledged drug pusher

And Steph, as for hump day - i wasnt thinking anything rude - why on earth wud u think that ....

DH always says that to me if im in a mood 'oh i see you've taken the hump now' i will always think of u when he says that in future lol

Nimble: Im sure ur 20 week scan is gonna be fine - i dont think u will fully relax untill ur baby is finally here, isnt it funny - u try and try for years, and when u finally become pregnant u think thats the end of it and everything shud be rosey in the garden - but it doesnt work like that does it lol - ur gonna become a parent - worry will become ur middle name from then on

Su: Ive never heard of that either for a headache - isnt it great what acc can really do??

ICSI: Porn - oh dear, the joys of having teenagers, was u here when my latest escapade with my youngest was announced - we allowed her to go to stay at her friends for the weekend, and she left on Friday evening - Sat morning we found out that she wasnt at her friends mums - she had only jumped on a plane and headed off to a bloody party/rave in England!! No wonder i had a dam headache for a solid week!!

Mia don't worry bout no more MS when you still have other symptoms. Everything will be fine. Your numbers rose really fast so your body was probably in total shock and now they are starting to slow down (like normal) so you body is getting acclimated more. Luckily I don't get sick like you did, I just get the pitt of doom in my belly and it usually happens at night which makes it a load of fun trying to try to get to sleep. That is another thing...maybe I should try accupuncture like Su so I can get some sleep! No wonder I'm so exhausted thru out the day...I sleep like crap at nite

Oh well I went puter shopping today...of course they didn't have the one I wanted in stock...grrrrr....BUT I DID get to go to IHOP MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM yummy

Hey Lara and Shantala,

Thanks for the follie dances. It is so great to hear about the end of your pregnancies. I am so envious of you two and I know I will be there in 8 months. Staying very positive on this side and actually DH is the one keeping more positive. I still say if we get pregnant every once in a while and he corrects me and says when. So I have been trying to stay positive all the time now. I have more confidence in this procedure. My fertility clinic cannot be names #8 in the country by Child magazine for nothing right?

Off to a class today. We are a trauma one hospital in our city so we are the first hospital anything trauma is taken to: car accidents, disasters, etc. So the people that regulate that appointment say we have to have 10 trauma hours every two years so I have to go sit for 8 hours, which usually they let you out like an hour or so early, to boring talk about trauma. It is not as good as like that show Life in the ER. That shows some trauma. Last time was a cool one because they had this woman from Israel that was a doc over there and she had the trauma hospital that gets the constant bomb victims. She is right in the heart of the terrorist area. This year it is a bunch of docs that we already know. BORING!!!!!

I will be on after I get home. Can't access the computer in the auditorium without being noticed.

The woman some how sat down on the toilet 2 years ago and for some reason could not get back up and instead of calling someone, her boyfriend let her stay there because she said she was afraid to come out and kept feeding her there. Her skin literally grew around the toilet seat. I think it was in Kansas somewhere, and yes in a trailer. A trailer in Kansas? I am surprised they did not fly off to Oz.

Oh questions of the day. I am so tired when I go to see my RE that I forget to ask questions some times. My biggest follie was 21, now Steph was asking last night how do we regulate that one getting too big, I mean will they toss that one if it gets bigger than like 25? Oh and when he called it out to the nurse, he called it 21 with a circle, what does with a circle mean? Just questions I thought the experienced IVFers might be able to ask? Iwill check back later.

Hey ladies -

you guys, true to form, were so busy yesterday, I haven't had a chance to catch up!

I slept most of the day yesterday, sorry I didn't get on line to give the eggie report. The anethesia (whatever) must have done a number on me. We got home 11am, I went straight to bed and didn't get up til 4pm... I ate some breakfast on the way home! (No I didn't eat on the way there, DH did and boy was it smelly! ewh!) My stomach was growling in the waiting/recovery room.

The good news is we were able to retrieve 11 eggies. It's just as my acupuncturist had wanted (between 10-12) but it seems low to me, as I've had 21 and 17 in the past. Oh well, I only need a few good ones to fert and stick, right?! No news on the fert report yet, they'll call today with that.

I'm off to work and then to the acupunturist - hopefully they won't call while I'm lying there with needles stickin outta me!

Jen Babes - Praying for a big ol BFP for you tomorrow!!

Steph - can't wait to hear the good news on the US tomorrow!!!
