I haven't POASed! From my experience it just drives me crazier! However, I have been checking my basal temperature, which is why I asked if anyone knew if it was relevant or if the progesterone messes that up.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Of my 9 retrieved eggs, all 9 were mature and all 9 fertilized. As of this morning, all 9 were good quality (6 class 1, the others all class 2) and everything was looking great. The doctor almost suggested we just go ahead with ET tomorrow and skip the PGD, because all signs were so positive.
Well, the PGD results just came back and every single embryo is chromsomally abnormal. There isn't even one to transfer. Even our doctor seemed stunned.
Here's the worst part: he says these abnormalities normally indicate bad eggs and 0/9 means there's low probability that there are many good eggs in there. I'm reeling. I went from thinking we had this thing nailed to thinking there's probably no hope ever in about 5 minutes.

Kate, I am so sorry to hear your news. So many clinics including mine do not do this testing on the embryos and it makes me wonder how many of the BFNs are due to this. I am so amazed that the embryologists thought they looked great and then to find this. Just goes to show you there is so much that has to go just perfectly. Try to keep hope though. My sister-in-law was told she didn't have very many eggs, and that the ones she had were "old". She was even told that she may never get pregnant even with IVF. She had one baby the first IVF, twins the second IVF, and just conceived naturally!

Hey Everyone – Well, I’m 1 day into the 2ww, and I’m realizing that this is going to be a super long 2 weeks. I’m overanalyzing everything with my body. I stayed home and rested today also, and I felt hot, then normal, then hot, then normal. Good grief....love the hormones.
I’m super happy that we’ve mastered, at least so far, the PIO shot. It’s been a breeze every night, and I have absolutely no pain. I’ll take that any day that I can get it.
Kate – WOW….I’m so sorry. That is so frustrating. Will you try again? Or try something else. At least you now have an answer to what you guys have been through. Let us know what you plan to do next. (((HUGS)))
Indie – Go beta go!! I wouldn’t give up yet…PUPO!
kbear - Good luck with the ER. I can't wait to hear the great report!! It's always hard when the RE office doesn't call when they're suppose to. Chin up!
Brandy - PMA!!! Let us know when you get your BFP!!
Sticky baby dust to all!

I wish I had better news, at first it hit me hard and now I'm doing my best to have Faith that this is what God want in store for us, since Dh was kinda skeptical about having a lot of embryos and some dying off, etc. I got the fert report this morning and only 3 fertilize. yes 3! So, I'm praying they are strong growers. For those of you who are Christians, my friend said and I felt a lot better when she said it, she said that is ok, you got one for the Son, The Father, and the Holy Spirit! LOL that made me feel much better, I didn't look at it that way. So, I'm very proud of the 3 I have. I just didnt' think there will be 3 out of 30 eggs. I think I respond too well to stimulations and I think I needed to be coast or something...or atleast had about 15 eggs retrieved, but oh well, I'm happy w/ what I have. I'm going to be very protective over those 3.

Good for you, Keita, keep the faith... it will be OK. We also had a poor fertilization report but there must be a reason, like you said. Any idea when your ET will be?

How many did you have to trf and freeze? You had your ET about 2 days go, how do you feel about it?

Well...I am trying to stay positive but I am also trying to prepare for a negative result at the same time. (maybe to ease the blow)
They retrieved 17, but only 9 were mature and out of those 9, only 2 fertilized. So, they transferred both but they were both a little slow to multiply, one more than the other.. 4-cell and 6-cell.
So, there is definitely still a possibility.. if they are strong enough.
Like they say.. it only takes one.

Thanks, Sue, Brandy, and J&C. It's surprising how comforting it is to have completely strangers empathize. You guys are great!
Sue, my husband and I are still in shock. The doctor wanted some time to go over the results and look for ideas. The results were so extreme, maybe there was something odd about this cycle (either in my body or the lab or something). We may try one more cycle just to confirm, though with low expectations.
I don't know much about donor eggs, but it does make sense in this situation. I'll check up on that. We probably won't adopt (too much risk), but have always talked about foster parenting ... even if we did get pregnant.
J&C, that was my first reaction too. It does explain the fact that we've been getting pregnant pretty easily, but always miscarry. And I'm glad to know now instead of getting my hopes up over the next 2 weeks. I definitely recommend PGD to anyone else who has that pattern.

I received a call from the lab today saying that our 4th embie (we transferred 3 embies and had 1 left) made it to blastocyst, so they froze it today. I'm excited as that gives me hope that the 3 transferred embies (or some of them) are sticking and doing well also. Hoping....hoping....hoping.
Anyone ER or ET this weekend? If so, good luck!!
keita - I know the #'s game is crazy and such a roller coaster. We'll pray for those 3 embies to hang on strong!
kate - I'm still praying for you and your situation. I can only imagine how disappointing it is. More (((hugs))) for kate.

I just posted on the 2ww thread, but I wanted to let you ladies know my results since you have all been so wonderful. I got the call this afternoon and I got a BFP!! I can hardly believe it. I guess 4 cell embryos on a 3dt aren't so bad after all. Guess it just wanted to be in me instead of the dish
