Hi guys! I leave in about a 1/2 hr for my apt. I'm SOOOOO SCARED!!!! Image One minute I'm fine and so positive, the next I'm freaking out!!!

I'll be home after my apt before I have to go to hell today...I tried calling out yesterday sick from hell for today....but since this lovely company doesn't have enough damn people to cover shit like that I'm screwed and have to go!

Ok better finish getting ready cuz I have to stop in and get my TB test read too! Praying to God all goes well! Image

Mornin Ladies -

Steph - Praying all goes well with your scan today. Don't you worry about it, everything is going to be GREAT! I can't wait to hear the good news!!!

JenBabes - I'll be checking back in a bit to hear your good news too!!!

Hope everyone else is doing well. Chriss - When is your test??!! If I knew I can't keep it straight... but i don't remember reading it!

Stephjim - my cycle buddy! How you feeling?? :)

As for me - I'm a little freaked. Got the fert report yesterday and as usual, we have issues with fertilization... that's where are numbers really drop (DH blames his demon seed, i'm starting to think he may be on to something! - just kidding). No, out of 11 eggies, 8 were mature, but only 4 fertilized. So as of yesterday, we had 4 embies, but all were growing as they should be and were at the 2PN (?) stage, which is where they should be on day 1. I'm praying that they all continue to grow and divide without frag as they should. I have a fear that they won't and that we won't even go to transfer. I know I have no real reason for thinking that, but this cycle has just been nuts and I'm constantly waiting for the proverbial "other shoe" to drop. Trying like crazy to stay positive.

I was still very sore yesterday at work and didn't get much accomplished. Thinking of taking the whole day off again today... (BUM!) but there isn't much there for me to do and I'm going to be on pins & needles until I get the call from the nurse anyway. But DH is home today and he might make me nuts. ... we'll see how that goes! Oh, the transfer - my clinic plans for a day 3 (tomorrow) but we won't know for sure until they call today. If not, we'll aim for Monday, day 5. I've done day 3 both times before, but who knows.

I tried having the # transfer conversation with DH, but he isn't having it. Still convinced 3 is too many. My philosophy has become dependent on the number of viable embies we have at transfer. Funny, cos my example before had been, say we have 4 viable ones, 2-grade As and 2-grade Bs. And they think the B's could withstand freezing/thawing... then, we'll do 2 & freeze... but if the other two are say a grade B & C, and freezing is unlikely, then why not give the little underdog a chance?? UGH. I dunno. I guess I'll try again when we have more information and see what we have to work with before I try again.

BABY DUST to everyone... thinking of you... sorry I haven't done more personals... I promise I'll catch up soon.

Congratulations Steph!!! That is fantastic news!!! Image I'm sure you're so relieved!!

I have some good news too. Nurse called and all four of my little embies are doing just great. 3 are at the 2-cell stage, as expected for this day (day 2) and the fourth is my little over-achiever with 3-cells.

They have scheduled the transfer for tomorrow (Sat 3/15) - ooh, the ides of march! - at 0900. Have to be there 30 min early (with a full bladder, of course - my least favorite part). AND, DH and I have to make a decision about how many to transfer. Talked with him about it some this am... still wants to do 2. He is deathly afraid of trips. SO, I guess we'll see what the RE says in the morning and go from there.

JenBabes - good things come in threes... let's hear about that BFP!!!Image

steph --- YIPPPPEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! now will you finally relax a little????????? yer lil froggy needs her momma calm, cool & collected!

hope --- 4 is a FAB number!! and hoo-rah on all of them doing so well!!!! ya know, i was in about the same boat as you w/ the whole "how many" thing cuz we had "5" starting out......doc decided 5 day transfer....ok-fine.... well by the day we got there for transfer - only 2 made it.....so there, decision made for us (with a little help from above i'm sure!!) and i'm sure how ever it works out -- whatever is meant to be, will be..... and ya know - if YOUR dh is anything like mine, all it would take is for him to hear DOC say "well, we've got 3 left to work with - and based on prior, i suggest putting all 3 back" ---- my dh would have listened to doc in that moment....plus too, pull some stats out showing your dh the odds of getting trips even when you put 3 back in ---- very SLIM!!!!!

how are all my other lovelies???!!!

it's not a froggie! it's a turtle :)

I SOOOO don't wanna go to hell today...or any other day for that matter

Hope- why do you have to go with a full bladder? Do they want you to pee on em when you are asleep and they are pushing round down there??? I swear if I didn't empty my bladder today before the scan, that US tech was gonna get an eyeful!!! She was looking for an ovary and I thought she may be looking for tonsils! I told her I had them out already

Yay, Steph, your little turtle's heart is beating well.

I am so happy for you.

Hope, great news about your little ones. I am sure it is hard for DH to make the put back decision. You will know what is right at the time. I am so happy for you.

I told my DH that it will be up to three because we both agree, not that we want three, but that that is the most we can handle. Although, I found out recently that twins run in his family. So maybe two is going to be enough, just in case one splits.
Had scan Wed and had 10+ I lost count ranging from size 9-21. I go back tomorrow and hopefully get the go ahead for retrieval Tue but maybe Wed. I would prefer Tue, the sooner the better. I feel like I am carrying around footballs in my pelvis and my breasts, don't get me started there. The pain, the pain!!! All worth it though.

I think jenbabes was guessing that she would have an answer some time around 6p tonight so be on the lookout. She did not mention if she poas. I forget how many did she put back?

Angie, how are you? You sound well.

oh damn!!! i forget and get that mixed up all the time!!!! i MEANT turtle........really - i did!!! can ya ever forgive me?? hope your day in hell goes by fast.....so you can come home and rest!!! (cuz we all know THAT goes out the window once the lil TURTLE princess makes her way into this world!!!!!) ha, ha!!! oh yeah, i know you asked hope - but the full bladder thing --- its for us ivf'ers......has to do w/ PERFECT PLACEMENT of the embies on day of transfer --- they use a tummy us to see if bladder "full enough" and in my case, w/ round #2 - it wasn't - so they FILL IT FOR YOU!!!!!! take this turkey baster looking thing (literally) in it goes -- didn't really "hurt" - just uncomfortable as hell!!!

jenb --- doesn't yer doc know that you have friends across the pond that NEED TO KNOW RIGHT THIS MINUTE???!!!!!!!!!!!! GEESH!!!!!!!!!! i absolutely HATE this part of it!!!! everything still crossed for ya hun!!!

steph2 --- hey girl!! i AM good!! thanks for asking.... :P while i'm currently in the midst of the famous "hurry-up-and-wait" game --- i'm finally starting to feel back to my old self knowing we have a game-plan!! nature of the beast i suppose  sounds like you're hangin in there pretty good --- not long now!!!

hope --- BRING ON THE ET!!!!!!!!!!!! lots and lots of hugs yer way!!!

chriss -- how you hangin???? haven't heard much out of you..... everything ok??

Hey Steph - no, i think peeing on them would not be a good idea... ;)

You have to have a full bladder for the transfer because they have to be able to see your uterus and the full bladder makes it clearer on the U/S - they have to use the external U/S, since they have to use the speculum & probe for transferring the embies. Then you can see the uterus well on the screen and then a quick little flash when they transfer. Then they make you lie there for 10 min or so before you can get up, get dressed - and PEE! I know you can't pee 'em out at that point, but that's always the most UNCOMFORTABLE pee EVER. scary, even though I know it's silly.
