Thanks for all the warm wishes. Well I had my ultrasound and everything is fine! The babies are measuring 12 weeks and 6 days and I am only 12 weeks and 1 day...so a little ahead but right on track really. So they will in actuality (I have now been told) be born in September because with c section (which they think I will get) are always done at 38 weeks. Baby A was doing summer salts which was cute to see and baby B was sleeping. Great pictures of both that I will have to put on photobucket. Baby A heart rate was 161 and B was 159...so pretty close together...same sex maybe? Tomorrow is my Dr. appt.

My blood pressure has gone up. Today it was 122 over 82. The other day it was 140 over 80. So the doctor is going to put me on a no salt diet! Do you realize EVERYTHING has salt minus veggies (fresh), fruit, and meat! Low carb here I come! Also, I have a high risk for gest. diab. and they are doing a glucose test at 16 weeks. Fun times! I have to get on a strict diet to do everything I can to prevent these things.

Rio: DH and I think the u/s pic looks like a little fireman or even a swiss mountain climber. LOL It looks like he is facing to the right with a pointy nose and goatee and hat and hose. LOL He even has the reflective strips on his boots and hat. Too funny. I cant wait to get an u/s that looks like a baby. LOL I have been having a lot of cramping the last couple of days and a yellowish discharge. I wonder if I have another UTI/Yeast Infection. I am gonna call the doc after lunch. I have set maternity tours at 2 different hospitals next week...so we can decide which one we want to deliver at.

Suga: No salt diet sucks. I have been watching my salt and sugar too. Cant wait to see your baby pics. That is awesome that you are measuring ahead of schedule. I would rather be ahead than the 2 days I am behind according to an u/s 4 weeks ago. I hope I catch up at the next one.

Cinci: Sorry to hear you are at risk for pre-eclampsia. I am at risk too. It sucks.

Gecko: I was thinking of getting a doppler too...but now I am afraid with what Rio just said about Autism.

Katie: Good Luck Monday! Rio too!

Corny and Weezie: How are you ladies doing?

Happy Friday everyone! Can't talk long because I'm at work, but I wanted to give an update. Had my u/s this morning and got good news. We were able to see 2 distinct amniotic sacs, so our possible complication has been averted! Yay! The babies are doing great. Baby A is measuring 6w5d with a hb of 138. Baby B is 6w6d with hb of 148. RE says everything looks terrific. The 3rd little angel is slowly disappearing. Did I even tell you all about that? We had a triplet in there, from a separate embryo, but sadly no h/b. Anyway, I am 7w3d today. Next u/s is Apr 2nd. Ok...let me apologize in advance for TMI, but I have a question for you all. I have started to notice when I insert my prog suppositories that something feels VERY different in there. Not to totally freak anyone out, but it feels like a big bubble, or bulge or something. Could I be feeling my uterus that low? Is anyone else feeling anything different than before? I started noticing it about 2 weeks ago. I mean, I know as our uterus grows, the other stuff gets squished, but it's weird and I don't know if it's my uterus, or cervix, or a tumor or what. And I am too afraid to ask my RE anything (Im a little scared of him). Again...sorry for TMI.

Hope you are all well and having a great day! I am so happy it's Friday!

Katie - I transferred 4 embies. 1 implanted and split so I have identical twins. :D Another one implanted and there was a baby there, but no heartbeat. We had 2 compacted, 1 8cell and 1 6cell embryos. Good luck with your NT test!

Suga - no salt  I am a saltaholic! you poor thing... I am so glad the babies are doing well and measuring ahead. I can't wait to see my little one doing flips, he was quiet last time.
Tammy- wow you saw all that in the pic - I have to go back and look again! :D very cool! My normal discharge has also changed and I read it is common in pregnancy even if you have no issues, hopefully it is nothing. Let us know how your maternity tour goes! Don't take my word for it on the doppler thing, I think it is just a rumor and I don't even remember where I read it!
Corny wow a third one! My goodness! Congrats on your healthy twins, your story is truly amazing! I am so excited for you! Sorry if this is TMI but have you checked to see if it is not the progesterone clumping in there? I had massive clumps of the stuff inside that I had to dig out (TMI) so make sure it is not the progesterone clumping. Second I think your cervix changes position and gets lower also. But I would ask your doctor, you shouldn't be uncomfortable with him... is that the OB or IVF doc?
Katie- Good luck on Monday! Are you doing a blood test combined screen? I am nervous and excited about Monday!

Are you girls doing birthing classes?

Good Luck Rio as well we will have to compare notes. Yes It its blood test combined. I'm nervous and excited to see my bean.

Ladys I have been eating BAD. I am not normally a sweets person but I can't get enough. I also keep eating to much. Part of that is that I no longer have the fluid and so I can eat again. I just need to take it down a notch and eat more veggies. hmmmm I need to get it undercontrol otherwise im going be a cow. Im not a little girl not huge either pretty average size 12 but geeezzz. Im going to weight myself in the morning so hopfully if its more I will be scared and go back to eating grass. OK enough of the rant. Part of the problem is I have NO ms. Not even really yucky feeling very much. WHO KNOWS!!!!!!

Its great i can gripe about this to yall b/c DH just says whatever and gives in to the candy i ask him to get me and then later on I gripe and him about why did you cave and get it for me. :D

Corny - I'm so happy for you! That's terrific news.

Suga - Sorry about the diet restriction. That's lousy. Maybe after you get used to it you won't miss it so much. I know that I gave up my diet cokes (I was truly addicted :) ) when we started fertility treatment and I really missed it the first few weeks but now I rarely think about it.

May I complain for a moment about something that is not a really big deal but just annoying? Last night we attended my company's annual celebration, a dinner cruise on Lake Michigan (aka the "Booze Cruise"). It was nice (hubby enjoyed getting to have my drink tickets  ). Anyway, a woman came up to me and said that she heard I was expecting and asked if it was true. I was shocked. We've been very careful to not tell anyone I work with b/c my company's not very family friendly and until we're out of the first trimester it's just not a good idea to share w/my work.

From the look on my face the woman took it to be untrue. I asked where she heard the rumor and she said she heard from this woman who used to work at my company but who I haven't even seen in over a year. How on earth did this get out? All I can figure is that either someone overheard me on the phone or it's possible that this one friend of mine who knows we're pregnant (b/c she knew we were doing IVF) told someone. I know that she knows people at my company. But I told her it was really important that she not tell anyone.

Ugh. I'm sorry to complain about something so trivial when I know that we all have bigger issues on our minds. I just find this so annoying. As long as things go well I'll be telling people anyway after the nuchal on the 11th, but just in case there's a problem we really didn't want work to know. I didn't even tell anyone at work about the IVF b/c I didn't want to get "mommy-tracked" before I was even a Mommy.

hi all!

mellie- i'd be pissed off as well! I mean, it is never anyone's business, and unless you tell them, even if they think they know something- it is their responsibility to keep their mouths closed! :x I knew about a friend for some time, but she asked me not to tell, and even when i was cornered and asked by friends, i denied knowing anything. I had a friend call and ask me only a few days after I found out we had a BFP- I didn't feel like lying to her, so i told her with explicit directions not to tell anyone, and guess what.... yep she told a couple of other friends - it is a drag for sure, but we're almost out of the woods!
glad you vented- it's why we're here!
all is well with me

happy Saturday!

Rio and Katie - GOOD LUCK tomorrow on your Nuchal tests!!! I am sure everything will turn out just fine and how wonderful to be able to have a half hour u/s and see your baby move around. Please let us know how everything goes.

Mellie - I would be just absolutely floored it that happened to me. How annoying, but it sounds like you covered just fine. I don't know why our pregnant status is of such interest to others but I just assume that they are all excited and happy for us and just want to share in the miracle. Or, maybe, you know they are just nosey SOBs.....

Katie - My eating has gone downhill too. I just HAVE to eat what sounds good and on Thursday that was half a key lime pie! Yesterday I had waffles and berries for breakfast, then half an egg sandwich and a croissant after working out at the gym (like only an hour and a half later) and THEN went out for Japanese food for lunch. Yikes!!! My body is just not my own anymore.

corneybaby - Awesome news about your twinnies! You are on your way! I am sorry about your third little angel though....

Suga - A no salt diet?! I am sorry. I am a saltaholic myself so I totally commiserate with you. If it is because of your BP, isn't there any way they can put you on medication? I take it and it really helps. So far I have no diet restrictions. My doctors have me taking my BP every day and then call once a week for my readings. So far my readings have been too low, so they had me skip my meds for now and are calling me daily for readings. I am assuming that they will adjust my BP meds as time goes on. It is nice to know they are watching me so closely. I hope you get it sorted out and have one less thing to worry about.

I am finally feeling a little better with the m/s. It is still there but not as brutal as it has been. I hope it stays this way. Anyone else getting pain in their belly? It isn't like cramps, but it is sore especially when I get up from sitting, or if I roll over in bed. It feels like stretching or like I did a bunch of sit ups. I am assuming that it normal pregnancy discomfort.

On a hopeful note, I started cross stitching a baby blanket. It will take me forever but it should be beautiful when it is done. It is a nice way to relax after a day of working and I just can't wait to give it to the baby.

My husband INSITSTS that this one is a boy. He is so funny about it and has only chosen boys names so far. I had one dream about going fishing with a little boy, if that means anything. I don't have any feelings one way or another yet. I don't care as long as he/she is healthy. Have any of you had any premonitions about the sex yet? It would be fun to see if our (or our DH) hunches turn out right!

Have a wonderful Sunday!

Gecko - thnks for the good wishes tomorrow, I go from being cmpletely confident it is a healthy baby to a little scared at times... but I have to keep the PMA that my odds are going way down after the Nuchal. I will post when I get back from it. I strongly beieve our baby is a boy, I don't know why, DH thinks so too. I am happy with either! A blanket what a great idea! Cute!
Katie - good luck tomorrow also on your nuchal, post when you can! I feel like a pig, I actually haven't eateen that much or that bd but haven't exercised at all :( my allergies and asthma are really bothering me.
Mellie- this situatioon stinks, I have had pople come up to me and ask, people that I trusted spill the beans and it has been a mess. All I get is "when are you goong to let us tell everyone?" Excuse me... isn't thiss DH's and mine decision? So sorry you have to deal with it. Plus my SD has ben snooping around (she's 11) and already asked her grandmother if we are pregnant. Yickes! What the heck! You are completely right about being upset!

Bad news for me today......

I started to have some spotting and called my doctor who made an appointment for me for tomorrow. Then I passed a clot and freaked out and went to the ER. My bleeding has stopped and they found a good heartrate with doppler but can't explain the bleeding. They felt my cervix and it felt closed so they just don't know. Anyway, they classified it as a threatened miscarriage and said I should follow up with my regular doctor tomorrow as planned. I am so upset! I thought passing the 12 week mark put me in a very low risk for miscarriage. We just told everybody we knew last week, and now this....... Has anyone had any spotting so far? Is spotting this late a worse sign than spotting early? I have a higher than average risk for incompetent cervix and am really worried that this is it for us. The ER doctor said that nothing really can be done now. If I am going to miscarry, it will just happen and there isn't much they can do. I am supposed to be resting for today and am allowed to go to work tomorrow as long as I sit for most of the day. I will feel better after I see my regular doc because I wasn't too comfortable with the ER staff. I am trying to have a PMA and stay strong.

I will keep you all posted.

geckogirl: As long as they still see the strong hearbeat I think you will be fine! Well keep a close eye on it! Take it easy for awhile or something.

To everyone getting the nuc. test done good luck! I am getting a blood test at 16 weeks to see if there are any genetic disorders...hopefully not.

I put my ultrasounds on photobucket! I have never used the site and it is easy so that made me happy.

No headaches today!! woohoo! But everyone have a great Sunday!

Oh gecko! Keep the PMA since they saw a strong heartbeat. WOuld you consider doing bed rest tomorrow instead of working? Good luck with your RE and let us know what he says. I will say a prayer that your bean is very strong and healthy. My mom had to stay in bedrest for the first few months and had lots of bleeding - and I was born super healthy! :D so keep the PMA!!!!

Gecko - I'm so sorry that you're having to deal with all of this. Did they give you any odds? I thought that once you hit the 12 week mark you were pretty much out of the woods. So, maybe a threatened miscarriage now isn't as bad as a threatened miscarriage early??? I have no idea. I hope you're doing ok and that everything returns to normal for you. I'm saying a prayer for you and your little one.
