Hi All! Happy Friday!
Kbear - I am impressed that you have stayed strong regarding the hpts! I know I broke down and did it much earlier than you! Enjoy your trip and good luck next Tuesday!

J&C - Congrats on a high 3rd beta! I can imagine that was quite a relief! What are your next steps? It is so interesting how clinics vary so much in their protocols from start to finish.

Sue Hu - Good luck with your followup. We are dealing with male factor issues as well. They didn't say much after our first cycle about why they wanted to, but the RE requested that my DH freeze a couple samples before the second cycle. They still wanted a fresh sample the day of retrieval but they wanted to ensure they had a good amount of sperm to work with on the actual day so they wanted back up. It turned out, after the first sample was frozen, they said they had enough and he didn't need to freeze any more. Maybe your DH can do something like that too?

Jill - It does seem the 2ww does drag on. I hope you are staying positive. I definitely felt more cramping this time than I did my first time so hopefully it is a good sign!

Mrs. G - I hope all goes well on Monday and you see a great number! Have a fun weekend! I hope it goes by quickly for you!

Jen8675309 - Good luck with your next beta. I have also heard that spotting is very common. My best friend had spotting early on and now has a healthy 2 year old. She also was very nervous about it as she had a miscarriage before. But, everything was normal and they told her not to worry. Easier said than done. Good luck!

Brandy - Congrats on feeling so good! When you say you are feeling pregnant, what do you mean? I think I am still in a little shock but I don't feel much different now. I think I felt more pregnant during the 2ww actually. But, I suspect that is because I was looking at everything as a symptom. Just curious what you were feeling?

I had my first ultrasound today. I am only 5.2 weeks along so they were just checking to make sure they could see a sac and that everything was where it was supposed to be. I guess the primary purpose for them doing one this early is to rule out ectopic pregancies. All looks good. They found 1 sac. I told DH the other one must be hiding. :) It looks like a singleton for me though.

Have a great weekend everyone! :D

Good Evening Girls!

Hope you are are doing fabulous and have a fun weekend planned. I am doing pretty good. DH and I went to see the RE today for a 3rd beta (since I was spotting, dr. thought it would be best to come in for beta and I switched to PIO shots from prog suppos.). My 3rd beta came in at 2289, which is guess is great, but it didn't double from Wednesday's 1282. Do you think that's ok? Am I just worrying for the sake of worrying???

I just did my first PIO shot. Let me tell you , and I know this is going to sound weird, I actually prefer the shot to doing vaginal prog suppos 3x a day! My vaginal/cervical area is so irritated right now that I am so glad to be done with those! I much prefer the shots! My DH thinks I am crazy!

Itsgottawork! I am so happy for you to see your little bean's sac!!! That is so amazing! I don't get my first ultrasound until 4/15 (I'll be 7.5 weeks by then!) When do you go back for another ultrasound? So thrilled for you!! Do you feel much different now vs. when you were stimming? I feel little twinges every now and again. When I sneeze or cough sometimes it feels like my ovaries are going to burst, do you feel like that?

J&C ~ So glad to hear your betas are going up well. I am sure you are so relieved! When do you go in for your 1st ultrasound? Enjoy your weekend!

Sue Hu ~ Can't wait to hear about your follow up appt. Take care!!!!

Jill ~ How are you? Hope you are doing good and keeping PMA!

Mrs. G ~ Very excited for Monday! Can't wait to hear that awesome beta!

KBear ~ How are you? I hope you have a great time in Philly! Can't wait to hear your beta!

Take care all!

Happy Friday!!

kbear - Hope you have a great trip this weekend. Looking forward to your BFP on Tuesday. Let us know how POAS going on Monday!

itsgottawork - Sounds like your first u/s was EXCELLENT!! I'm actually pretty calm right now, there's a first!, and I'm anxiously waiting our first u/s. I'm praying everything is in the right place. [And jen too.] My first u/s will be on April 9th, then they'll do 1 more 2 weeks after that. Then they'll release me back to my OBGYN. I agree - after reading on this board, I've learned that every RE has a totally different protocol. I'm glad mine holds onto you for a little while, before referring you off. I'm sure it's also for his own statistics sake, but it's more reasuring to me.

Have a great weekend everyone!! Baby dust to all!

Oh - and will someone PLEASE explain how to add one of those tickers to my signature. I've created one, but everytime I try to add it to my signature and then submit it, the system erases it.

I'm sure I'm doing something wrong. Thanks!! :D

Good evening everyone! Well, I have one week left. I am trying to stay positive :D I have had some, not much, cramping this time. I did not have any last cycle. Could it be implantation? First cramp I noticed was yesterday at 4dp4dt. I am not trying to overanalyze but also trying to rule out AF

Jen, J&C and Itsgottawork...sounds like all is going well!!! Terrific News!!

Kbear...have a great and safe weekend. This should help pass time for you. Good luck Monday with POAS and definitely let us know.

Aliann09...thanks for popping in and checking on me. I am glad some of my old cycle buddies remember me.

J&C...the ticker will not fit if you have too many characters in your signature...i have one too, but it will not fit. if you remove some of your current signature comments, it may work....someone else may have better idea or solution.

Hope you all have a great weekend and I will check in next week!

Hey Jen! I'm dropping in trying to catch up, my birthday was friday so I've been quite busy this weekend. I am SOO NERVOUS over my beta tomorrow. I tested early friday and got a BFN (I know it was really early since thats only 9days past transfer but...) Im still nervous about getting bad news tomorrow. Im trying to be optimistic because I was actually SHOCKED to see a negative when I tested, I so thought it worked this time. I will keep praying I hear good news tomorrow!!

Hope everyone else is doing well!

Happy Belated Birthday, Mrs. G!!! :D :D :D

I hope your POAS didn't ruin your birthday, or your PMA! Have you POAS since Friday? I'm sure you tested too early. It's very common to get a negative HPT and then go on to have a great beta. Try to relax and get a good night's sleep tonight. (I know, that's easier said than done!).

I am very excited to hear your great POSITIVE beta!!!! Sending lots of baby dust your way.........

Well, we were walking around Philadelphia yesterday and I was having some cramping. I got myself into a funk and we decided to test last night, to just know something. We figured at 13 days past 3 day transfer, we should be able to get some result.

Well,

Image

This isn't my actual test, but my line was that dark. I shook for like an hour. I can't believe this is happening.

I tried again this morning, but I got a bum test, no control line or anything. That was aggrivating, but I keep staring at last night's.

My BETA is tomorrow.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL THOSE TESTING TODAY, I JUST KNOW WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TONS OF BFP'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi, ladies :) Sorry it's been a while. I had a pretty rough weekend. I was having horrible abdominal pains and vomiting on Saturday and was freaking out of course. I went to the ER and it turned out it was just a really bad stomach virus. They were glad I came as I was super dehydrated. They actually kept me over night. The only positive thing that came of it is that my OB came in to see me (who didn't even know I was pregnant yet) and did an ultrasound. I got to see and hear (which I didn't think you could at 6 weeks) one will heartbeat. I feel a little bit more at ease as my doc said it was a really strong heartbeat for a 6 week little pea :) I will still go for my scheduled ultrasound with my specialist on Thursday and get my official due date, which the calculators say is November 20th.

Someone, I think it was ItsGottaWork, asked what I meant by feeling pregnant. I am extremely tired, my boobs are sore, and I was nauseous all of last week. I actually started to feel great and then got that awful stomach flu!

Hope to hear from you all soon :)

Hugs and baby dust to all!

1st BETA: 306.

I called my nurse this morning to tell her about my postive POAS, and she said go up and get your bloodwork right now.

I did, and yay, it has been confirmed. I am officially pregnant. I have to proceed with cautious optimism, due to my age and how early it is, but I have a great feeling.

They wanted a level of 100 or more, so I think it is pretty strong. I have more bloodwork Wed and Fri and ultrasound next week. Plus, I probably will be traveling within the next couple of weeks, but RN says that is fine.

Thanks to all for your support, you are the best! I just love this forum!!

Kris

Hi All!
I hope you had a great weekend!

Brandy - it was me that was asking about your feelings of pregnancy. I am definitely tired and a little sore and a little nauseas but I still don't necessarily feel pregnant. I think once I hear the heartbeat it will be more real for us. And, even better when we have actually told people about it. We are waiting until after the first trimester for that.
I am sorry to hear you had been so sick. That is scary that they had to keep you overnight but great that you got to hear the heartbeat already! I can't wait for that! Good luck on Thursday!

Jen8675309 - I think that is a GREAT beta number! I hope that is what the dr's confirmed for you!
I hear you about the injections vs suppositories. I did the injections from retrieval to first beta test and then switched over to the suppositories. They are just more of a pain. For the shot, it is in and out and over. I do these twice a day and have to lie down for 20 minutes after each one. That is a pain in itself, not to mention it is a little messy. I can't wait to be done with these!
I go back for my second ultrasound on 4/11, I will be around 7 1/2 weeks then too. I am excited because we will get to hear the heartbeat. I feel that is the next hurdle.
I don't feel much different from stims. Actually, I feel a bit better. I had a mild case of OHSS so I was really bloated and nothing fit me. But, now my clothes are pretty much fitting again so that's good. I am a little nauseas which stops as soon as I eat, it seems like I am eating something all of the time. That started probably the second week of stims but I think then it also could have been me fighting off a stomach bug.
I definitely get the twinges too. Particularly when I roll over in bed or suddenly move.

J&C - I just got my ticker to work. I tried another site and it didn't work. Only tickerfactory worked for me. They have a bunch to choose from though. And, you definitely have to watch out and not have too much in your signature. I was bounced back a few times before it worked.

Jill - I think cramping is a good sign. My dr says we get signs for both AF and pregnancy due to all the hormones they are giving us. So, keep up the positive attitude and rule out AF! Remember you are pregnant until proven otherwise!

Mrs. G - I hope you had a great birthday! Good luck today with your beta! I do hope what you were experiencing this weekend was HCG rising!

Kbear - CONGRATULATIONS on an excellent beta number!!! I am so glad you didn't have to wait until tomorrow. That is definitely a strong number! Good luck on Wednesday!

Take care everyone!
