My ear angel,
I will begin my cycle in a couple of weeks. Next week I go in for "sounding" guess it's like a mock transfer. New Re wants to see how the transfer will go. Previous RE always had me under anesthesea for transfer and he sewed a stitch in my cervix with a string that hung out for a few days. then they used the string to pull on the uterues to get the right angle. New RE does not want to do any of that. He thinks it causes contractions. he wants to try it with me awake. I am scared because IUIs used to be VERY uccomfortable. It's hard for them to get in there. Any way, did I blab too much? How are you? What's the latest? You didn't write about yourself in your last few messages.

Angel505 wrote: Steph - with the thingy you're hooked up to, would it mess your results if you got on a treadmill and did 10 min of running??  How long do you have to keep it? I had palitations last year and they made me go through all that. After the treadmill exercise where I almost fell off, I drew the line and refused to go and have the monitor hooked up. Dunno if this applies to you, but my doc mentioned that lack of vitamin D can sometimes aggravate it.
nope so far not a stress test ( had one of those like 4 yrs ago too)...i actually notice it more when I'm not on the treadmill andactually VERY noticable when I lay down. I don't mind the monitor now...of course I don't go out in public though haha. I've never hear of vit D being an issue, but some of my electrolytes were slightly on the low or high end of normals...just one more point and they'd be in the low or high range. So my guess is they will check what shows up on this test and go from there...and of course it is behaving itself to day...only 5 palps in a span of an hour and it has been quiet for about 2 hrs haha.

Dude someone is out there mowing their lawn!!! I can't even SEE most my lawn!!!!

Time for a nap!

Thanks Angie!!! Hope you have a great time!!!

Mir, that is awesome news. I know you want to save your money, but have you looked into financing? Mia found a great place that my be applicable at your RE. I am so happy for you both.

Chriss, you should ask your doc about doing a dilation of the tip of your cervix during the retrieval. That is what mine did and I did not feel a thing when they did the transfer. Do you think that is an option?

Hello everyone else. Just enjoying the days off including today I have 7 left. Then I have to work three in a row, which is going to suck because I am already getting lightheaded.

Thank you so much everyone for your kind comments. We are both very excited.

Steph2- I was wondering did you get into the progam for "money back if no live birth?" Yes, we are going to be looking into different loans. SO scary, all that money. Ya know?

Peq- Yes we would only be able to do IVF. IUI would not be an option. His sperm wouldnt be able to make it.

Angie- yes I have a 401k but it is fairly new, only like $5000 or so in it. ; (
But I never thought of that!! Thanks.

Chriss- so glad your test went well.

Looks like I am going to be asking your girlies a lot of questions when DH and I start our tmt with IVF. I am so excited, nervous and scared.

Yeah if you can get into one of those programs Mir, then that would be great. We ended up having to do it on a credit card. Our RE office did not have a financing option. I think that Mia said something about Capital One having a great fertility financing option.

Steph,

I am not sure if we would be able too. I was reading about it and one of the stipulations is a SA. And there would not be any sperm in DH SA. I was just wondering if you got into it. Do you mind telling me how much your round of IVF was?

Mir -

Your news is Image

I bet you couldn't believe your ears!!!! WOW!!! And of course, you know, with ICSI - you get the absolute best sperm they can find in the bunch!! I bet you and DH are just completely blown away with that news! I'm SOOO happy for you guys!!!!

I agree with Steph2 also - look into some financing options. Our clinic uses Capital One too I think (?). And then there's our "Shared Risk" - which is the one price for so many tries deal. Does your clinic assign a financial coordinator to you? Ours does, but she wasnt' much help... but maybe you could get a good one.

Wow - Now that you have that news, i bet you're about ready to do whatever it takes to get the $ to move forward!!! I know I'd be!! Soooo extremely happy for you, hon!!!!

Ok, I'm going to attempt another round of personals... If this one doesn't work, I'm going to assume you all are tired of my L O N G posts and are conspiring with the site to have them eliminated!!! (OK, that's the hyper-sensitive spy in me!) Image

Angie!!! I hope you have a wonderful time at the hockey game - and indoor pool too!!?? Wow. Your DSSs are going to be worn out! And you too, i'd bet! Sounds like a lovely weekend! And you deserve a break too, after all that extra work recently!! Glad you're feeling better!! (my deleted personal had get better wishes! ;) ) About DSSs - no, they don't know YET. Last time, we ended up having to tell them earlier than we wanted because my stupid BIL ended up telling the whole family like he was just telling them I was coming for a visit or something. Big Dummy. Anyway, we were going to be there for Thanksgiving and I knew we had to tell the boys if everyone else knew. :( And, thanks to DH - they now know about IVF... geez louise. he thought they already knew - and started talking about the shots and stuff for this round. UGH! (but... since he had the vasectomy and their mother treats them like peers anyway - it's probably best that they know - otherwise, she'd have them convinced this kid wasn't their bio-half-sibiling.) DRAMA! ugh. anyway, we're hoping to 2nd trimester, but I think they've probably already guessed it.

Peq - So you just have to wear that thing for 24 hrs - and then they review the "tape"or something? I had something like that when I was in HS, for possible heart murmur... not fun - but not the worst either. Hope you don't have to wear it much longer - but more importantly, I hope they figure out what they need to know from it!! I can't believe ppl up there are mowing their lawns! Sounds like my dummy neighbor - I've seen him mow in the RAIN, still wearing dress slacks & a tie. I swear, he mows his lawn 4-5 times a week in the summer. Weirdo.

Angel - My dear Angel! How are you honey? I'm so glad you're posting more! I'd missed you!!! BUT - Chriss is right, we aren't getting any personal info from ya! What up with that? We want to know about YOU!!! Even if it's what yummy dish you're makin' for din tonight - so I can be incredibly jealous and drool while I read! ;) Thanks for the well wishes, sweetie. Yup, it might be two, but I'll be just as happy as a pig in mud with one!!! Went to the acupuncturist today and told him my #s. First thing he said is 2. But the important thing now is to get thru each hurdle and on to a successful pregnancy and healthy baby!!

Chriss - I can't believe things are already rolling so quickly for you and the new RE!!! I want to kiss him (her?) !! I'm so excited for you! I had never heard of them tying up your cervix after transfer (did I read that right?) I'm just glad your new RE has a brand new approach! Like a breath of fresh air!!!

Mia - have things calmed down for you with work stuff yet?? You've been so busy, you need a break! When do you rest??!! Have you made any decisions about all those choices yet?

Steph2 - How you feeling today?! Got the magic doubling number floating in your head?? ;) I kept telling my mom on Tuesday & Wed am - "think 3400" - the magic double! Can't wait to hear your giant beta tomorrow! What time is your appt? You, me & Steph are going to be doing the "stick" thing together! My appt is at 915am.

Hi to everyone else - including those who got their "own posts" ;) Becks?? Where you been? Wondering if you're sstill feeling icky with all those shots or if things are getting better??

Not much new for me - just went to acupuncture today - he suggested going 1x/wk for the rest of the 1st trimester. Which i am going to try to do. I feel like he was instrumental in getting me pg and I want him to help KEEP me that way if he can! DH still does his eye-roll and says I'm giving money to the witch doctor. Blaa, blaa. He says "it was the assisted hatching" - who knows, but i'm going to do what I can. If it does nothing more than relax me - that's a good thing!!

So off to RE for last beta tomorrow. I'm thinking "9000" as hard as i can! :)

Hugs to all!!!

My blood draw is at 7am. Which does not matter because they still don't call until after 2p. I am thinking 700.
