ok, that took like an hour!!!!

Welcome back Carolyn.

Ok all you girls... thanks for the good wishes. So, the first thing was meeting with old RE. that was tough becasue I like him soooo very much. He is a very smart man and my DH and I were straightforward with him and he told us what he knew/thought about new place. He thinks very highly of them and if he were to recommend any place, that would be the one. He knew about some of the different things that they would do for me, but kinda thought that it was very similar to what he's done, aside from the co-culture thing. He things it's basically an egg issue for me and there's not much that can be done for that. He did not suggest donor eggs at this time, but when we brought it up, he did think that we would be good candidates for it. We asked him how he would feel if we tried a go at the new clinic and if things didn't go as we wanted, would he take us back? (Possibly for DE). he was very welcoming and said of course. He even offered for his clininc to help us out with monitoring of new cycle with new RE (Becasue he knows how far we have to travel) Nice guy. Anyway, it ended ok, but I was sad.

Then we went to new RE. Mock transfer worked like a charm. I took a valium before hand to relax and that helped. New RE was very good. He wants to see me again next week to "practice" one more time. How do you like that?

After that, we went to see therapist together. And she was very helpful. So it was a busy day.

Thanks girls for your love and support. Couldn't do this without you all.
I'll try to check in again later. Sorry no personals, but I am at work and must deal with the kiddies!!!! -chriss

Ok you preggo people especially people that are on their feet during the day. This is my first day back at work and I have noticed while standing up my lower back hurts. Anyone else have that issue? I am not worried about anything at this point, but I just want to make sure this is a regular symptom.

chriss ---- FANTASTIC NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i was sad when leaving my old RE too.......although, feeling a bit ashamed after hearing how you were so up-front w/ him ----- i have thus far pretty much just used the "avoidance" tactic! ALTHOUGH, in my defense -- we didn't have new RE lined up at the time when we went for final/follow up consult w/ old RE....so it's not like we should call and set appt just to tell him we've gone elsewhere!!!

ANYWAY.......i digress............where was i?? oh yeah -- fab news on the mock transfer!! so you were AWAKE for it huh?? and sounds like you were a-ok?? what's your schedule looking like anyway?? next cycle or waiting a cycle??? don't remember..........and i don't have bfp to blame my poor memory on!!!

phew Chriss at long last - how could you keep us waiting in suspense like that!! Anyway so glad it went well and that you're old RE was being a 'jolly' good chap with your decision to try a new RE - bless!

Never having a mock transfer - is it the same as a real one???

Steph2 - back ache is a sympton of pg, although I've been fortunate enough not to really suffer, only when i had flu - its prob your body starting to adjust to its new role in life - take plenty of rest and get those feet up !

Hi Ladies, wow been busy on here.

Rachel, good luck tomorrow, hope all goes well for you all.

Chriss, so glad all went well with the consultants, and that your mock transfer went well, i have a kinked cervix and transfers are always difficult, i was always awake though and they have had to use forceps twice to open the cervix to pass the catheter through, very painful but it worked.would not wish that on anyone though.

Su, once your part time you'll shop like mad, sorry i scared you but my consultant won't let me go past 38 weeks due to it being twins, so it shortens my time a bit. i am hoping to work until end of May as have staff on holiday until then.

Nimble, you've still bought more than me, but DH is taking me to see the pram tomorrow so may spend some money.Hope work is getting back to normal now.

Carolyn, nice to see you, glad your starting again, sorry DH is abondoning you though and making you do your jabs yourself, good luck.

Angie, wow you've been cracking me up today, glad your so happy and positive. Good luck with the timed cycles.

Hope, congratulations on the heartbeat, fingers crossed for the next scan, i understand your nervousness. My thoughts are with you, keep positive this time is the one.

Sorry to all the ladies i've missed, minds gone, its past my bedtime, will catch you all soon.

As for me, spent two days in the garden weeding, been lovely here with the odd shower. We are going to see the pushchair we like the best tomorrow, if its as expected we will order one, as its taken 6 weeks for the shop to get it in stock. We will then go baby shopping, then at a rugby match in the evening. busy busy. Need to get it all sorted now, as i am getting more tired and one baby still resting on my lungs getting more breathless, growing like crazy now, and still have my cough. Apart from that i am feeling fine.
speak soon

ICSI, you could always send old RE a little note to thank him??? If you feel the need.

Yes I was awake for mock transfer and all went well. THis is actually my "wait" cycle and will jump right in in about 2 weeks.

You sound really good, can you rub off some of your sillies on me? Please?

Nims, good to hear from you. Mock transfer is just like a regular transfer, they just want to make sure the pathway is clear and I guess kind of measure uterus. This guy was good cause usually IUI's have been horrible. SO thanks again. Have yourself a good rest and I agree TGIF! Take care.

Janyne, so you understand my pain of the tilted cervix with the crazy curve at the opening of uterus!! Thanks for your message. Gives me hope. Glad you enjoyed the gardening outside. Spring is finally getting here. Good luck with stroller tomorrow. Funny how many names there are for prams, push chairs, carriages, etc. Enjoy the shopping and rugby game too. All sounds like fun. Glad you are feeling better. Hope the cough goes away soon. Take care. -chriss
