Thanks for all you have done in getting the thread back to 'awaiting treatment' - and so elequently put (spell???) - I am sure none of our preggers cyber buddies will mind - they have been where we are now and only understand the pain and frustration too well - you will be joining them soon anyway - what date is ER scheduled for ??

Angel - where are you with next cycle - any plans

Chris - when do you start again after all the mock transfers and extra special tests??

Mir - I bet she is on that big ship now - chilling and relaxing

- I have appointment on wednesday with consultant to sort out dates for next cycle - am hoping can be fit in from this AF which arrived in all her glory yester day - if not it will be June time ish - whats another couple of weeks when you have waited a lifetime

Carolyn - you're so patient. I would have wanted to start NOW. But you're right, in the big scheme of things when we've waited this long whats a few more weeks. Let us know how your consultant appt goes. Are you on NHS or private? You asked about my treatment. I'm back on the waiting game until Sept/ Oct. After the last two failed cycles which I did quite close to each other, my RE asked me to take a break of about 4 months during which I also need to start taking some vitamins to improve my response. I do agree with all his reasons for me taking a break, but it just makes me feel so useless. See, told you I'm very impatient.

Queen Becks - Thanks for the hugs. You are such a sweetie. Only 1.5 days before you start stimming. Finally its here after the years of downreg. Isn't it funny how we actually get excited about injecting our bums everyday?

(not AF for those of you wondering!! ) maybe we need to come w/ up acroynym for "BOW-CHICK-A-BOW-BOW" --------- BCABB!!! and hence, a new acronym was formed!!! And now we must do it again --- like tuesday i'm thinking.... and then wait til i get my surge (on my OPK) and then do it some more!!! when i do get my surge - i'm to go in for quick check at doc's to make sure all my levels are "optimal" (blah, blah, blah...heard it all a thousand times) anyway.....thinking that should be around CD12'ish?? which is thursday.....

I was watching a programme on Discovery Health about infertility. One of the cases was about a woman did a natural monitored cycle similar to what you are doing. She mentioned that 4.00 p.m. is supposed to be the optimum time for doing it (something to do with body temperature). I know its not exactly practical, but if your optimum day happens to be over the weekend you could try it.

Actually I'm cracking up laughing at the thought of turning up at DH's office at 4.00 and sayin, "Hi darling I'm at my most fertile; lets go make a baby".

(i hardly do!! ha, ha!!) and at the time - YES, he had his own office...with a door.....it didn't lock -- so we just made sure we were "up against it" if you know what i mean! could NEVER do it in the place he works now cuz its also open work space.... oh yeah - did i also mention that it was about 40lbs ago??!!!!! that alone can give you more confidence than you ever thought possible!!!

Becky - Sorry hun, I forgot you can't use your bum for the injections.

I can't imagine injecting my thighs. It sounds painful. With all the fat I have there, would the needle ever reach the muscle???? You could try asking your nurse about the upper arms. When I did research for my injections, I found that there are 3 sites, the upper arm, bum and thighs. I did sometimes take it in the arm to give my bum some relief. Thats assuming that your stimming meds are intramuscular and not sub cutaneous.

You are sooo right about being more confident with a slimmer body. Why is it that we need to be a certain size/ shape to feel good about ourselves?

And I totally get you about things being fun in the courtship stage. After a while we settle into a comfortable level where we are no longer trying to impress each other. In fact I was talking to DH about that last week and saying that we have stopped doing so many of the things we used to do earlier. He's promised to surprise me

I injected into my thigh the last time too - i have plenty of flab there - would take a huge needle to get into my musscle lol - mind u, the other day i went to inject and jabbed - and the stinging i got was terrible, i pulled it back out before i even started to inject the liquid - dunno what all that was about lol ...

Never ever thought we could inject into our arms either - ive got plenty of flab there too - i call them my bingo arms lol ..

Well, my buserlin was to be given sub-cutaneous - under the skin (so i did them on my belly). But my stimming drugs were to be given intra-muscular. That means longer needle and to be injected in one of the 3 main muscles - bum, upper arm and outer thighs. The ones on the belly simply felt like a prick, but the latter really hurt. If your needles are small, then you probably have SC injections.
