Thank you girls! I am packing and on my way to South America tomorrow, I will do personals when I recover from the long trip down there!
Mellie - just a quick note to tell you I use the neti pot and it helps, not perfect, but helps. Just be careful not to blow hard afterwards, I get nosebleeds.
Hope you girls have a couple of wonderful days and I will check back soon!

hi to all hope your all well brain going to burst can't type no more
Dear Loopie and everyone on the October Mommies 2 be post:
I'm really sorry that I haven't been writing or giving you guys any updates but I've had a really rough time and I'm now just at the point where I'm ready to talk about it.
I just had a bad feeling that something was going to go wrong and you know what they say about instincts. Well, DH and I went for our first U/S at 6 weeks, 1 day and we were informed of the bad news. The embryo measured almost 2 weeks smaller and there wasn't a complete sac. The doc had us come back 2 weeks later and although it grew a little, the embryo just wasn't normal. I went off of my progesterone (Endometrin) and the doc said in 2-3 weeks that I should have a natural miscarriage because I did NOT want to have to go through a D & C. And on March 27th I started hemorrhaging and the miscarriage was in full effect. I saw my doctor that day and I have never bled so much in my life and the clots were larger than golf ball sized, they were like baseball sized clots (sorry if that's TMI) and the pain was the worst that I have EVER felt in my life. I had to go to the hospital to get a shot (because I have B neg blood and DH has B +) and I was in diapers for days. I NEVER thought it would be that bad and that much. It was AWFUL!!!
Anyways, I am fully recovered now from the M/C and I've just been waiting for my body to get back to normal. It's been rough but DH and I will be going another round in a few months.
Loopie, thank you for going the extra mile and sending an email my way. I just had to get through this before I was ready to share. I know that you girls are here for me but I had to wrap my head around all of it before I was ready to share this.
I want to wish you ALL continued HEALTHY pregnancies. I'll be checking the posts here and there and I'm looking forward to hearing more about your babies.
Stacy - I am so very sorry to hear about your loss. When you disappeared from the thread so suddenly, I feared the worst. It just isn't fair! the m/c sounds like it was just awful. I don't think anything can really prepare you for that. I don't know if you remember Hoekey from this thread, but she went though something similar at about 9 weeks. I am glad that you and your DH have taken the time to heal both physically and mentally. We miss you on this board!!! I will be watching for you to post regarding your upcoming cycle and I wish you the best of luck. I just know you will be back on this side reporting on a wonderful and healthy pregnancy soon. Take care.
Stacy, I am so sorry for you loss. Thanks for posting an update. It sounds like it was just a horrible experience. Glad you and dh are staying strong and looking towards the future. We will all be anxious to see how your upcoming cycles go.
Just popping on quickly because my head is still pounding with this headache

goodluck jomae
hi everyone else hope your all getting nice and fat anyone else having trouble eating well mia how about you
Hi there! all is well, I think I felt some flutters yesterday- maybe???, have been short of breath a bit- but all in all pretty good - belly is bumpin a little more, though it still looks like a beer gut !
hope the headaches go away soon Katie and Jomae - and is today the day you find out b or g?
Katie and Jomae - I had terrible headaches when I was weaning off the progesterone shots, suppositories and orals. Perhaps you are having hormone headaches. I am told that hcg levels off and begins to go down in the second trimester. Maybe this hormone change is sparking your headaches. Have you asked your doctors?
Loopie - I have had some sporatic flutters myself. It is very exciting! I thought at first it was gas, but this feels more like someone flicking me from the inside. It has only happened a few times and always after a meal. My doctor asked me to show where I felt the sensation and said that it was the right place! She said it would be much more obvious over the next month.
I had my ob/gyn appointment yesterday. Everything seemed good. My weight and blood pressures were fine and we got to listen to the heartbeat for the first time! The little bugger didn't like being scanned by the doppler though and squirmed out of range pretty quickly. She said we have a mover and shaker! I am going to be monitored closely for IC because I am DES exposed. With DES exposure there can be physical abnormalities with the cervix that makes it weaker. I don't have anything obvious, so they said it would be rare, but still a possibility. With incompetent cervix you can dialate suddenly and painlessly and lose the baby. It usually happens between weeks 18-24 but can happen earlier or later as well. So far my cervix is long and closed. I am only slightly concerned, and am hoping for the best. I can exercise now but she wants me to take it easy and suggested swimming. Other than that I am doing great! My anatomy scan is on the 12th and we are really hoping we find out the sex as well. I also did my second trimester AFP blood test. I was told it would come back in a few weeks and as long as there is no problem, we would discuss it at my next regular appointment at the end of May.
Anyone still exhausted? I can't get comfy in bed and still have vivid dreams that wake me all he time. I can't wait for this school year to end so I can have afternoon naps........
THANK YOU for all of your love and support, it really has meant the world to me. Posting on this thread has been such a wonderful outlet to share and vent too.
I hope and pray that you all continue to have happy & healthy pregnancies. I KNOW that I'll be back.
Katie- HOORAY!!!! You must be so excited! So now you can shop accordingly! Are you going to tell everybody, or keep it a secret? I have my next u/s on the 12th and can't wait to find out. My DH thinks we are having a boy too. It will be interesting to see how many hunches are correct.
Acapulco - We miss you! I am glad that you are still checking in on us from time to time. Please keep us posted when you start your next cycle. I am sure you will have a HUGE cheer group from all of us!
