Angie,

Betcha yesterday was your last mothers day of feeling like that. Next year, you'll be changing diapers on mothers day of your very own little one. PMA....PMA......we all need to keep it up. Bless your DH, he seems to understand and makes an effort for you. Sorry that the weather was dull too.

Yes, we do have mothers day here. Only cause we are a little bit ahead of you, we have it in March :D . We've had amazing weather here since last week, and hopefully it stays that way.

I have generally been feeling ok too, but one of our friends announced her pregnancy. I know they have been having a difficult time too, but because we have never talked about the baby subject, I couldn't bring myself to ask her directly if it was after IVF. Its just that they have been mysterious since Jan and not seen anyone and she was talking about early scans (which never happens here until week 12 in natural pregnancies), that led me to have a strong instinct that they have had tmt. Her younger sister and brother who both got married after her have a kid each already, and previously she would not even talk about them. I was happy for her, but it just reminded me again of whats missing in my life. :( I was thinking that by the time I go for my next cycle, she will be ready to pop.

"Hugs* Angel! I hear ya about mothers' day but keep up the PMA!! we need to remember that. Mothers' day for me was kind-of uneventful. I have been dealing with a cold for about a week now. Still have it but hopefully it will be gone before vacation!! One week!! I can't wait to get away from work for a while, not really to excited about vacation though. Anway, something did happen on Mothers' day that I was kind-of taken aback. My neighbor, who knows what we are going thru, was complaining about her kids for some reason and as joke she said to me, I can't wait for your turn for this and it was in front of others. Usually i have a snappy come back but I just stared at her in disbelief, which then caused her and everyone to drop it but now that I think about it that was seriously insensitive to do and on Mothers' day!! Ahh well, I can't dwell right!?!

So, I don't know if I will be making the june cycle cut off for AF to show so it might be another long month of waiting... one hopefully good thing, Dh is having his spermies check on 5/28, to see if the twice a week acupuncture is helping!! Come one spermies, wake up and get moving!!!

Question for ya - how many of you have told your bosses about your treatment? I haven't yet, but I am wondering how it will go next time around.

Ugh, it a dreary Monday here and it's only 10:40...oh well, back to the bore. I will check back soon!!

Hey there BM,

So sorry about the comment you got from your neighbour. When we are going through a rough time conceiving, it just seems difficult to hear people with children complaining. I know they don't mean it, but it feels that way. Hope you feel better soon. (((((((( HUGS )))))))))))) COMING YOUR WAY.

Why has your next cycle been delayed? Hopefully DH's swimmers get top marks on his next test day. :D

About telling my boss, I did tell my immediate boss but no one else knows. I didn't intend to, but I had to go for a number of tests and had to take a fews days off for the laparoscopy. So he asked if I could explain the issue to him. Now I'm glad he knows. We have managed things between us within the rule book but without anyone knowing. Also when stimming, it helped that I be honest with him and work from home so that I could work around my scans and the side effects didn't have to be witnessed by all.

I asked a similar question to all the ladies on the forum before i spoke to my manager as I was struggling with it. The general concensus was that if your boss is a reasonable person and if you have a good relationship with him/ her, you should definitely tell one person about it.

thanks angel :-) always such a sweetie  i bet your dead right about your friends pregnancy.....did she/they know about YOUR experiences thus far?? curious...........just thinking that had they known - its a little surprising they didn't offer up a bit more info -- just out of knowing you share a common bond.........but if they DIDN'T know --- then i guess is understandable that they just didn't feel comfortable enough to share..........is a very personal thing and everybody really deals with it SO differently..............

hey bitchin!! just to answer you on the boss thing.....i've been thru 2 ivf cycles now.........1st one, having NO idea what to expect ---i took 2 weeks of vacation and opted to NOT tell my boss (a male)........my 2nd round -- i had MUCH better idea of scheduling and such and also now reporting to FEMALE (who i knew had battled infertility issues as well......) and i DID tell her.......so i think it just depends on your circumstances!! good luck....

Thanks Angel & Angie!! I do have a pretty good relationship with my boss but she is a new boss (only 1 level above me) and i am worried that she will accidentially open her mouth and say something. legally I don't have to tell her why, I keep thinking it would help me to relax but then again would it...oh well, I'm not going to worry about it until or if it comes up next time around!!

Oh and the reason my next cycle might be delayed till July is, I was told that if I don't get AF by 5/23, then I will miss the cut off to start BCP for June. The lab shuts down for about 2 weeks to clean and sterilize everything...so however they have that timed is how they time cycles. Now last time, I wasn't put in BCP, I started right on stims so I am sure that might effect it too. So, from what I understand now, is I have to call on the first day of AF and if it's after 5/23, then I probably will not start until my following AF, but I still have to call when she comes! I hope that makes sense!

Oh and I just got good news!! I am completely  , but my ins finally paid the last outstanding claim for my IVF cycle. My RE billed a total of $23000 and the ins paid $9500 total!!  Crazy!! Good for us though, it means we can do 3 more fresh if necessary, hopefully not, it's just a great relief to know how much we have left and we can still keep going!! I'm so glad!!

Hey angel send some of that sunshine to the US!! it's ugly in the northeast!!

enough about me, how are you ladies doing??

Becky

Sorry its taken me a while to reply...we are all fine here. Ruby is growing fast. I don't know where the time goes.

Anyway, wanted to pop on and say I'll be thinking of you tomorrow. Hope they get some nice eggies, and just remember, sometimes its quality NOT quantity...look at me! I only had 2 eggs first time and 3 second time, but had great fert rates...both first time and 2 of the 3 second time.

Just try to stay positive. I will be keeping everything crossed for you. If all goes well when is your ET?

Lots of love
