happy wednesday yall!

sdtrying- wow, you have a lot of frosties! I only had one that made it to freeze, so I guess its sitting in that straw all alone. how many did you transfer? I guess with a 5dt you can start getting a +hpt sooner right? good luck with the POAS!

turtle- I'm sorry to hear that your cycle might be cancelled. If it is, then its for a good reason I'm sure...hopefully your next cycle is more successful!

jharris- glad to hear you are recovering from ER well! I personally went back to work the next day, I was a little sluggish but I could function. I did stay in bed for 2 days after my transfer but that was b/c it was over a 3 day weekend. Keep us posted with the fert report!

shep-that is hilarious about the "monkey hormones"...My MIL and every other woman in her family conceived like rabbits, so I don't think she understands how technical and stressful IVF is. I can't really talk to her that much cause for some reason she just irks me, but I lover her afterall she is family!

jim- glad you are back! I think I was a little surprised to hear such a high beta number, but I am just so thankful for my BFP.

jenntiff- we only had one out of the remaining 10 embies make it to freeze, but one (or both) of our transferred embies stuck, so it really doesn't mean your tranferred embies aren't good. I think I read any inital beta over 100 is good, and they look for it to increase ~60% every 2 days. Jim posted a cool website in another post that has averages for betas. But then even if its a low number, some other women have said as long as it keeps increasing its ok. When is your beta? Good luck!

valerie- You are so strong to be able to think of others as well as yourself! I'm sorry to hear about your heartache; its ok to greive and become emotional. We are all here for you to comfort you! You can always turn to God and He is there to listen to you too. What's most important is to not turn your back on your faith and to embrace it because your faith in God is what will carry you through! Dont give up!!

sameera- I know, I was kinda shocked when I hear the numbers. I know that a singleton can produce high numbers too, but they did put 2 in there! I'll find out on the 29th...I joined the Jan 09 mommies thread, when is your due date? I think Jess is posting there too. As the days go by, I am starting to lose concentration easily and I'm really moody. Is that happening to you too?

ruby- Apparently there is a party going on in my uterus...2 were invited but who know's exactly how many are in there !

God Bless you all, and sticky baby dust!!

hey michele-

Since we had so many frosties, we decided that we'd just put in 1 little one this time. If it doesn't work, we can try two at a time for 4 frozen cycles (or until the money runs out!!).

So it sounds to me that you have two little ones with you now and one little frosty sibling just waiting to join the family. I'm so happy for you. I'm really curious to know if one of your little ones was feeling torn about the whole process and split into two!!!! hmmmmmm, i'm thinkin' triplets!

So we'll find out on the 29th right? I can't wait to hear.

sdtrying- so when are you starting POAS? hehe pretty soon huh? Dont even say the triplet word....I think I will freak! I am wondering how I will manage to keep working with one, much less 2 or 3!!! Will keep yall posted!

mommytwingle- it isn't doubling or it isn't rising? Even if it doesn't double its ok as long as there a rise in the numbers....are you taking enough progesterone?? I hope everything turns out ok, we are here for you!!
God Bless and I will be praying for you!

It was only 41 on Mon, and today went to 54. My progesterone was 10.2 on Monday so they increased my Prometrium and it went up to 13. The nurse today told me I could stop all meds, but that she wanted to run another BETA Fri just in case it was a "flukey test." So, I asked her if I could continue the meds in that vein, but I'm not stupid. I know what it means, and I just need it to be over. This has been an awful couple of weeks.

Are you guys ready? LOL

Well, I went for my ultrasound and he saw two sacs BUT one had heartbeat and the other one was small and he couldn't tell if there was anything in it or not. But he said that he thinks for now it is ONE!!! and in two weeks when I go back for my ultrasound he will confirmed for sure if it's one or two!!

I'm just extremely happy to see heartbeat so happy I cannot tell you guys!

Although, I was secretly wishing for twins I would be happy with anything...

He said I was 7weeks already - I dunno how? I think he maybe off but I am not sure and he gave me the due date of December or January!!

So NOW i am not sure what to think about the second sac - could it be possible for it grow in 2 weeks and show up with a heartbeat??

Turtle: I had to write to you because I know how you must be feeling right now. I only have one ovary left due to a very large chocolate cyst ( See ! I can't stay away from all that chocolate ) that was on my left ovary and It had to be removed. Well, I only produced 3 follies that were about the same size as yours and they went ahead with retrieval after all and got two eggs that both fertilized and made it to blast and were top grade ! And I got pregnant !
They did not stay with me but I got pregnant and who's to say that it could not have worked out all the way.
I'm glad they did not cancel this ivf cycle because I now know that I can get pregnant. And that's positive to know.
You've made it this far with all the injections, I think they should go ahead anyway.
I wish you the best...I know it's a stressful time because of all the uncertainty.

Mommytwingle: How are you doing? I'm going through the exact same thing right now. I stopped the meds yesterday. It's not easy at all but we can get pregnant. Let's be positive for the next try. I believe in positive energy and all the good things it can bring you. PMA affects your body in a very good way and that's what we want. Big hug to you.

Shep: Thanks for the laugh regarding Mother's day and the MIL. You 're so spot on about all that. Good luck with the stimms.

Jenntiff: I'm sorry things are not going as well as you expected. But the good thing is that they transfered some embies and one of them will attach ! Try and stay calm and very positive that it will work You did get pregnant once before, so there's a good chance that you will again...and you're only 30 ! Sometimes when you least expect it that's when you get pregnant! Good luck...you're in my thoughts. Take in all the positive energy that's on this thread and it will help you.

Jharris: keep us posted on your fert! hope all is well.
ER was for me extremely painful as well. I was on the floor screaming in pain the next night...had to call my RE at 4am to see what to do. Almost went to the emergency room.

Chelly: sounds like you're having twins. Congrats ! Can't imagine what your next beta will be like.

SD: You've got a great attitude...thinking about you and I can't wait to see how you're doing.

Sameera- CONGRATS on your wonderful little beating heart baby!! That's wonderful. I hope you have twins too, I guess we'll see in a couple weeks.

Chell- I already did my first test today, I know, I know, I'm ridiculous. But it's just so irresistible!

Hey ladies. I'm feeling okay after my ER, as long as I'm sitting still! Once I get up and move around my stomach starts cramping. And I start my PIO shot tonight. Is it worse than the trigger shot? Anyway, I guess I will have to wait and see how I feel in the morning to decide if I'm going in to work. Not knowing if I will have a 3 or 5 day transfer, I don't want to take off tomorrow if I end up needing off work the the ET Monday.

So much going on today!

turtles: I am so sorry to hear your big follies are running away from the rest. Have you gotten the call yet? We are all here for you either way.

SD: That is too funny that you are POAS already! And to blame it on moving is great! And that frosty count looks great! Congrats!

chelly: My DH says that I will be on bedrest for 3 days after ET, no matter when it gets done! So I really hope we get to do a 3dt so that I get it done Sat.

MommyTwinglw: Sorry to hear your your beta isn't rising. We are all here for you.

sameera: Congrats on your US!! That is so cool that you have seen the heartbeat! That is awesome!

valerie: I'm feeling okay for right now after ER, a long as I'm sitting still. I guess I will have to wait and see how I feel tomorrow. And I think my DH will be like yours and keep me away from POAS.

Hope everyone else is doing well. Talk to you all later!

Well, finally got the call and they canceled my cycle. I had no idea I would be a poor responder. I thought I would do great since my problem has always been my tubes. Anyway, next time they are going to have me on a microdose Lupron flare protocol. This means less shots since I only do Lupron a couple of days before stims I think. :) The nurse said that if I start AF soon then I can get in the June cycle. Oh please have me start really, really soon. Do you guys know anything to make you start faster  After I found out I was canceled I went out to buy a bunch of chocolate and a Barq’s root beer. I will have a big glass of wine and a long hot bath to relax tonight.

Valerie - thank you so much for your words. They made me feel better even though they did cancel. Luckily I had donated meds for Gonal f and menopur so I am only out for u/s, b/w and lupron. Well, and the emotional roller coaster of IVF  I think I was a surprise to the doctor because I have been pregnant twice with one live one. (He is 4 now) So the doctor doesn’t want to waste my money on so few follies. Plus my lead follies got HUGE!! No wonder it hurts when I sit for too long.

MommyTwingle – I am sorry your levels are not doing real good. Saying a prayer for you.

Samera -Yeah on seeing a heartbeat. That is sooo great!!

Sorry if I missed anyone. I still feel scattered and worrying about my project that is due on Friday. I have not been able to concentrate at all. The nurse didn’t call until 5:30!! Wishing everyone lots of luck and sticky baby dust!!

Thanks for the info on the beta's. I have my first blood draw on Sunday, but they said I won't find out until the second draw on Tuesday.

Jharris- Best of luck on your recovery. I was really crampy the next day, but by day two was good to go. Then next thing you know you are down and out with the ET.....so funny. So exciting! Best of Luck for Friday's results.......

Oh, I'm sorry for the sad news.

Valerie and Twingle, I'm so sorry for your losses. I know this is really hard. Hugs to you. I wish I could give you real ones. We are here for you.

Turtles, I'm sorry they canceled your cycle. They'll find a protocol that works for you. Baths, chocolate, and wine! Sounds just like my plan-B cancel activities! :)

Sameera, congrats on seeing your little heart beat! Wonderful. You're 7 weeks because they count from the first day of the last menstral period (LMP). For us IVF girls, that's 2 weeks before ER whether we actually had a period then or not.

The reason they count from LMP is that all those unlucky girls who conceive the old-fashioned way don't know exactly when they ovulated or conceived. They use the first day of the LMP because that's a verifiable event. Probably more information that you wanted. Just thought I'd share. :)

Still waiting for AF. Still waiting.
