Awwww Valerie, me POAS, noooooooooo, not me?!

HEE-HEE! Yes, I've check twice already and no line thus far (no big surprise). So I know I've hatched a new ridiculous plan:

I'm going to use up all my expensive tests (DH won't be pleased), that will give me tests for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Then on Monday I'm going to get an early Beta from the lab at the hospital where I'm employed (being in healthcare does have some perks!)

If my RE knew she'd kill me. She'd probably call all the labs in town and tell them to ban me.

How are you doing, Valerie?

I just got the call from the RE's office. My ET will be tomorrow morning!! :D :!: We will be doing a 3dt. They said 3 fertilized immediately. They had to do ICSI on 6, and of the 6, 2 were 5 cell, a 3 were lower grade. Not really sure on the specifics. I guess I will get that tomorrow. Now I'm just sitting here thinking, do we transfer 2 or 3. I have felt all along that I am supposed to transfer 3, and when he said we had 3 fertilize immediately, it just seemed like a sign. I guess we will have to wait and see what the RE says tomorrow. I am so excited now though! We were so hoping it would be tomorrow and not Monday! Now I get my ET in less than 24 hours!

SD: You are too funny! I guess there are always perks being in the healthcare field!

Jayne: Another heartbeat report! I love hearing that! Congrats to you!!

Everyone else, hope you are doing good! Talk to you all later! I have to get back to work! :D

jharris- yeaa, good thing ET is on Saturday, that means you get to rest the whole weekend! It does seem like a sign to put 3 right? Good luck and sending sticky baby dust to you!

sdtrying- seriously you are so funny...I get a kick out of your daily POAS reports! I work with an MD at my office, I could have cheated too during my 2ww and had her order a beta, but I didn't want the office to know my business...people are really nosy & gossipy around here! You know how healthcare is!!

drjen- we are dying to hear the official beta!!!!

heekinje- I would gladly take 1 heartbeat, and who knows you may get an extra little surprise in 2 weeks! Can't wait to hear from you and sameera about that extra one!!!

as for me, still waiting for may 29th

God Bless!!

Well ladies, I finally got the official results--my beta is 99. The nurse said this is a good #--they are pleased with it, she congratulated me and said to return next Friday for another beta to be sure it is increasing. I can't believe I finally got my BFP :) Thank you so much for all of the prayers--I know this helped! Jenny

Hi ladies - I am just sending a quick update and will catch up later. DH's TESE went ok. All in all ended up with 26 sperm. Had my ER today and they got 40 eggs!!!!! That is insane. They just called and 34 are mature enough, I am donating 12 so we will still have plenty to play with. There is no telling how viable he sperm is until they fertilize so we decided to fertilize four eggs with donor sperm, just in case. That leaves us with 18 possible contenders. We'll see what happens. They are going to call tomorrow with an update. They are worried about OHSS with that many eggs so I am downing vitamin water, v8 and ensure.

Congrats Jen!!! That is so great.

I need to lay down now. So crampy.

Hi everybody
I'm new, not reading but posting, only my third post.
Hope someone can help me here.
I am 10 days post 5day transfer had my firtst hcg today, wont get result until after the second test.
So I POAS and it shows negative. Should it not be positive yet?
This is my first IVF cycle, never been pregnant.

Would love to hear some input.

Good luck to all of you....

Hi Blondy- glad you posted, good to hear from you. My understanding is that HPT are notoriously inaccurate that's why the clinics don't recommend that we test early (personally, i do any way 'cause it gives me something to do rather than do all the eighty-million other things i should be doing). I would guess that most women who are pregnant by the date of their HCG have positive HPT, but don't let that discourage you. Your test could be inaccurate or not sensitive enough to pick it up. Keep us posted. When will you get your results?

Hello Girls,

Computer 's as slow as a turtle, I'm ready to tear my hair out! I'm going to break down and buy a new one but won't be this weekend because I'm working.

DrJen: Congrats on the BFP! You must be soooo happy! I'm happy for you...99 is a very good beta and I wish you the best for the coming weeks!

SDtrying: Thanks Nicole, I'm feeling well inside and out. I've accepted this miscarriage as best as I could. I either surround myself with friends that I love or spend time by myself and reflect or read this forum and gather a lot of strength.
I'm so very grateful that you're all so supportive!

Rubylee: How fantastic is that! 40 eggs is awesome and I hope that a lot of them get to be fertilized. I cross my fingers that all we be well. You must be thrilled. Keep us posted on how they all develop....if they give you updates. I hope you will not be too crampy and that OHSS will not be on your agenda. Take it easy for a few days, that would be good.

Blondy: I know you must be a little scared but like Sdtrying said, perhaps your test is not sensitive enough to pick up the hcg yet. Stay strong and believe you will have a positive one. Keep us posted an if you need anything, let us know.

Twingle: Any news ? we have not heard from you. Are you doing ok? keep us posted when you're ready. Big hug for you !

Something else I've been thinking about. As I've suffered from migraines for many years, I've learned to listen to my body and to the minute clues it sends me. I'm able to determine very early on if a migraine will manifest itself that day or not and therefore I can prevent them 90% of the time.
Now, going through this process and not knowing what it would be like to be pregnant, I did not know what to look for. I read all the possible symptoms and yet could not figure out FOR SURE if I was pregnant or not.
But as the days went by, I believed more and more that I was pregnant and it turned out to be so. I even told my DH that if I was not pregnant, I must be crazy!
As my betas did not double, I suspected that something was wrong but did not accept it. Yet, louder than anything, my body was telling me it was the beginning of the end for this cycle.
My point is that we should trust what our bodies are telling us in their own way and not rely on what our heads are telling us. I think it's very important to really take that time and listen and I know that on my next cycle I will trust my body more and be more relaxed which can only help our little embies. I know so many of us worry about the tinniest thing that our bodies experience or don't experience.
Let's take that time to quiet our minds and turn on the volume to what our bodies are telling us. I know it won't be an easy thing to do but it's definitely worth a good try !

This post is long enough and it's time to catch some zzzzz as I have another full day of work tomorrow.

Sticky baby dust.

Hey girls; sorry I've been slacking, but so busy and tired. BETA actually was within normal range yesterday and progesterone shot up to 20.7. We're not out of the woods yet, but the nurse said it could just be a late bloomer. I'll have one more BETA Monday, and if it rises appropriately, then they'll schedule an u/s for the following week. Thanks for the encouragement and keep those BFPs coming!

Hi All,
Sounds like everyone's been busy!

Ruby: 40 eggs???????????????????????
 WOW! Good for you, that's great news! Have you gotten any news about how many fertilized, or how they're doing? I'm so excited for you and glad the TESE went ok for your DH.
Watch that OHSS...it's a beast; had a mild case last time and I was miserable. Am facing the same this time. Protein bars are our friend...

SD: I commend you deviousness (is that a word??) Last time I booked an appointment with my PCP during my 2ww and sweet talked him into doing a bloodtest. Perhaps there is another shot we can take to alleviate the obsessive-compulsive disorder that accompanies IVF...?? Sick.

I am waiting to hear if I trigger tonight...I suddenly blew up from Tuesday, and like my last fresh cycle, am set trigger in a little over a week. I had 22 follicles yesterday...a few more today.

To everyone else, prayers as always and have a great weekend!

Hey Shep! Thank-you :)

Your follie report sounds excellent!! Between you and Rudy I think you can start a colony and repopulate the Earth is this global warming thing doesn't get better soon!!! Can't wait for your ER/ET, baby dust!

As for me, I'm tentatively having a pregnancy party today!! So my blood test was 7 yesterday and this morning I POAS and good a faint positive. I think there's a pretty good chance I'm on my way up rather than on my way down from the trigger. I'll keep you posted!!

Just a quick note. I just got back from my ET. We transferred 3 embies. The grading scale is 1-4, with 4 being the best. We had one 8 cell grade 3, one 8 cell grade 2 and a 9 cell grade 2+. So I guess I am now officially PUPO with some of you others. :D Time to take it easy. I will check in with you all a little later. I get to take a much needed nap!
