I haven't been on in a couple of days and goodness there are a lot of threads to read. So, I'm sorry if I don't get to you all, but know that I was thinking about you and appreciate everyone of you posting. It makes my time easier for the 2ww. It's hard when you don't have anyone to talk to that really "gets it".

DrJen-Congrats!

Valerie- Yet again you are an inspiration. Your message is exactly what I have been doing the past week. I have been having dull cramping and it feels exactly like my menses was arriving and after 72 mos of feeling the same way every month and POAS only to "know" that it will be negative I was doing the same thing with the 1st cycle of IVF. It's hard to turn of the brain and just listen to the body. Yet, our brain can really and trully play tricks on us. Which brings me to my next story.....

I was kinda embarrassed to say anything earlier, but since I see that some of you others are POAS too.....the cat's outta the bag.......I have been too! I started on day 3 after a 3dt. I know.....what was I thinking? I don't have the willpower to stop something I have been doing for 3 years. Perhaps this is why I don't take up narcotics. LOL! However, today, which is day 7 days (I guess) after a 3 day transfer, I get my first beta tomorrow, I HAVE A POSITIVE....x 3. Yes! I took 3 different ones. I was in shock and shaking. Quite funny in fact! I can't wait to hear my beta. They said I wouldn't know until Tuesday, but I think I am going to beg for my numbers tomorrow. Yes, I have reduced myself to begging.

So, the moral of the story, Valerie, you are absolutely right, sometimes that dang brain outpowers what our body is trying to tell us. Valerie I know I don't know you, but I get a sense that you are an exceptional women and your few short threads I have read have really impacted me more than you will probably know. I hope that isn't creepy!

SDtrying and JennTiff - Sounds like 2 more BFPs are coming our way!! That is so exciting. I pet it is impossible to think of anything else.

JHarris - Take it easy. 3 is a great number. Super sticky dust to you.

Ericka - Hope you get to retrieve on Monday. 22+ is perfect. How do they look? Are they hanging in there for size?

Got my fert report today. Out of DHs 18 3 fertilized and 3 of the 4 donor fertilized. We are going to wait until Monday am to see if we are doing a 3dt but the RE is pretty sure we will. We will also decide then what we are going to be putting in, all DH or a mix. I am so thrilled we got some to fertilize!! I just keep thinking about 3 little ones fighting for life. Amazing.

Hope you are all enjoying your weekend and thank you so much for your well wishes.

Good afternoon ladies!! OK, bed rest isn't near as much fun as you I thought! I'm already ready to get up and move around! Maybe that's because I'm home by myself! My DH had to go to his nephews birthday party. We haven't told anyone what we are doing, so he just told them I had a migraine today! But he needs to get home, I'm hungry! :D So a little update on our ET this morning. We had 10 eggs retrieved, of the 10, 6 were mature enough to fertilize, so they did ICSI on those 6. Of those 6, 3 fertilized. They used assisted hatching on those 3. So they transferred all 3 that fertilized, so we don't have any little frosties. :( But that's okay, I am confident that the 3 we transferred are already getting cozy!! Oh, and they gave us a picture of our embies and the preti dish they were in. That was cool! Plus we got to see them under the microscope before the transfer. That was amazing!!

JennTiff: If you are away from this board for a couple hours there is plenty to get caught up with! Congrats to you! Can't wait to hear your beta!!

Shep: Good luck with your trigger!! It goes quick from there to ET!! 22 is a great report!

MommyTwingle: Glad to hear things are looking up! See, keep up that PMA and wonderful things can happen! I'm praying for you!!

To everyone else, hope you are having a great weekend!!

I wanted to be sure to let you guys know that things are much better about the idea of using a donor. You were all so sweet when we were really having trouble wrapping our head around the possibility. DH has come around though. Right after my ER they told us they had only found 5 in his sample (they had been working on it for 2 hours) I was crying and feeling so awful for my DH. He was so amazing; he just kept telling me it didn't matter anymore. He said what we had been through so far with the shots and procedures has brought him to the conclusion that no matter what, it was going to be his baby too, he understood it now. I can't tell you how great that was to hear.

We have 3 of his blasts fighting and 3 donor blasts fighting, we decide tomorrow what goes in!

I really appreciate the support here. Hope you are all well.

Well, I had by first betta today and they won't tell me what it is. They told us we wouldn't know until Tuesday, but I tried to bribe em' abit and told them I did POAS. They said great, but we still won't tell ya'. DAMN IT! The suspense is killing me.

Ruby- It sounds like you and DH have a great relationship. It sounds like you are very supportive of each other. I am glad to hear the idea of a donor is ok with you. I wish you the best of luck and I will keep you in my thoughts. Best wishes at ET!

Hi ladies. Sorry I've been slacking lately. One minute I feel ecstatic and the next minute I feel like it is all a dream. I'm praying my beta increases--I don't have my next one until Friday of next week! I'm glad to see our thread has been staying active!

Valerie-your posts are always so insightful. I'm glad you are moving forward with another cycle. I went thru 5 BFN's (4IUI's and 1IVF). This cycle I had acupuncture to help me relax--I'm a type A personality for sure. Also, I let myself get stressed if I wanted to and tried to stop worrying abt it all the time! Anyway, do what feels right for you.

Sameera-How are you feeling?

Rubylee-I'm so glad to hear abt you and DH--what he said means everything. It is wonderful that you have 6 blasts waiting for their mommy!

Blondy-I'm sorry they wouldn't give you your result yet! I also had a 5dt, but my first beta was 12 days later. I know the waiting must be killing you. Have you POAS again? What HPT's are you using? I agree with SDtrying--they are inaccurate and most clinics discourage them.

Twingle-I'm praying for you! I'm so glad to hear your most recent beta results.

Shep-How are you? When did you trigger? You certainly have lots of follies :)

SDtrying-Sounds like a BFP!! Goodness, your hcg must be rising quickly to be detected on the HPT. Keep us posted

jharris-Welcome to the 2ww--sounds like you transferred 3 great embies!

JennTiff-Congrats on the BFP HPTs!! Sorry you won't know your beta until Tuesday. I was told mine this past Friday, but won't have another until next Friday (1wk to wait to be sure it is rising!) I'm right there with ya. We've been trying so long, btwn naturally, clomid, IUI, and then IVF it seems unreal that this could finally be coming true. I'm scared to get too excited, but want to enjoy every minute. Good luck on Tuesday--I'm sure your beta will be great!

I continue to pray for us all. Jenny

DrJen - Congratulations!!! Well i am sure your beta will be doubling/trippling in a week :)

JennTiff - sorry they won't give you beta results but where you have waited this long you can wait till Tuesday to find out for sure - so just hang in there!!

Hi Ladies-
This is my second IVF cycle. the first was in Jan/Feb. Canceled because I ovulated through the meds so never made it to the retrieval. This time I did much better on the meds and just had the transfer on Friday. Its only been 3 days and I am going crazy. I dont go back in for the pregnancy test until the 30th. Any suggestions of what I should/could do to get through the next 11 days? I really dont want to POAS but I am a lot like the rest of you...my brain consums my thoughts. So I am going to try to stick it out as long as I can.
At the retrieval they removed 11 eggs, 8 fertilized and only 2 were good enough to transfer. So they transfered two. I hope that at least one of them sticks.

Dh 29 chemo = low mobility
1st IVF (1-2/08 ) - canceled

Hope everyone had a good weekend. We had awesome weather so I was outside most of the weekend.

JennTiff and SDtrying - congrats on the positive on the HPT.

Dr. Jen - That is so exciting that you got your BFP. You really deserve it after having to drive 3 hrs just for a 10 minute blood test. Can't wait to here your numbers on Friday.

MommyTwingle - I am so glad that your BETA numbers are within range. You have a strong little fighter.

Ruby/Jharris/cookinggirl - good luck on you 2ww, can't wait to hear about some more BFP's.

Well, I finally got AF this weekend so I went and had B/W done for FSH level and E2. As long as everything is good to go with that I will receive my official schedule for the next round this week. Gosh, time flys I will be doing shots again in no time. YEAH!!!

Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Cookinggirl: Welcome to our thread. I know the 2ww seems to last for an eternity but before you know it the 30th will be here. I'm one of the rare few that did not POAS! My DH kept me strong, but I don't think I would have done it anyway. I wanted to remain positive the whole time and just get my beta. You could be pregnant and still have a neg. HPT and that to me is very discouraging. You will find yourself looking through all the threads to try and figure out if you're pregnant and never really finding out for sure. I would advice to stay very calm and believe you will be pregnant...think about your embies attaching to your uterus and making themselves comfy. Eat well, get plenty of rest and drink lots of water and trust your body to do everything necessary to get pregnant. If you feel like you're going crazy, talk to us and many of us will be glad to help you. Some girls have symptoms and others don't. Many have cramping like AF was coming any minute, that's usually a good sign. I had mild cramping but as the days went on, I had no energy and I'm very active, I was very thirsty, I ate everything that was not tied down, I had night sweats and felt queasy here and there...plenty of symptoms there and I don't think it was the progesterone. Good luck and keep in touch!

Twingle: So happy for you that your beta is within range! What a relief. Keep your PMA going. Let us know how you're progressing.

SD: How's that line on the HPT? Must be darker than the guide line for sure. I love your attitude and you're inspiring me to be even more positive. It's such a pleasure reading your posts. let us know about your beta...it's probably as high as Chelly's. Can't wait to find out!

JennTiff: Hold on girl....One more day for you before you find out. I can't believe they wouldn't tell you. But you've got your positive HPT , so you can put your worries aside and be happy to be pregnant!

DrJen: I know you went through a lot before your BFP. Enjoy every minute of it...I know you will.

Ruby and Jharris: hope you are both doing well during your 2ww. Keep us posted.

Chris: Best of luck on your next cycle. It's nice to be able to start again.

Blondy: How are you? Any news on more HPTs? Thinking about you.

As for myself, I just got the results of the last beta and I'm now below 5 and officially negative but I remain very positive that the next cycle will work just fine. I want to start acupuncture for the next cycle...if one of you has experience with that, please let me know. Is it too early to start already?

Big hug to all and lots of sticky baby dust

Valerie

Hi Everyone,

Looks like things have slowed down a bit...I can finally keep up with all your posts!!

Ruby: That's such great news about your DH...this whole process is so crazy that the stress truly brings out out all of our fears, emotions, etc. Just remember it is in God's hands and he already has a plan for you!
How did your ET go today? What did you decide to transfer?

SD: So happy for you and your HPT result!!!! I am considering POAS today, just a few days after the trigger to see if there is actually a second line on these crazy tests. I know the box says there is, and I hear stories of people seeing a second line, but for me, it's a bit like Sasquatch, I'm not sure a second line really exists...never seen one :)

JHarris: When is your beta? I am praying for you and all three embies...

DrJen: Only a few more days to go...have you fallen victim to the dreaded HPT yet????

As for me, had my retrieval today, 24 eggs (2 dozen by dairy calculations...) Forgot how lovely those sleepy drugs are, although, on my way to dreamland I asked the team if they call the retrieval room the "hen house"...
Start the dreaded PIO shots tonight....

Blessings to all!

Thanks for the good thoughts ladies; BETA is up to 245 today. I almost got excited, but I'm still trying to be realistic too. My u/s is next Tues. If we see what we are supposed to, then I'll relax...and go shopping!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I keep thinking about how the nurse told me to stop my meds last Wed. If this pregnancy turns out to be viable, she really could have gotten me into a lot of trouble.

Hey Ladies

Shep, it was hilarious reading your thread about the Sasquatch. I had to chuckle.

I am happy to see that everything is going good for everyone!

I have to try and sleep another restless night to get my beta results tomorrow and you gals will be some of the first to know.

Hang in there all!

twinkle- that's excellent news. I'll be hoping and praying for more good news about your u/s.

Shep- I LOVE the Sasquatch analogy- you are hilarious. Well, if we couldn't laugh at this stuff what would we do, right?

Ruby- I'm so glad to hear that you and your husband are doing so well emotionally. Although I wouldn't wish this process on anyone, it sounds to me that you and your DH have deeply bonded from the difficulties you've had. I can't wait to hear a success story from you!

Valerie- I agree with Dr. Jen, you add so much to the group and give all of us support and inspiration. Thank-you. I'm looking forward to your next cycle already and can't wait to be your biggest fan (hugs!)

Dr. Jen- How are you feeling? A friend of mine once told me that being pregnant is like feeling special all the time. Enjoy feeling special everyday and rub you little belly between patients!

JenTiff- They are holding your BETA RESULT HOSTAGE!!! Tell them you won't negotiate with terrorists! Demand the results or else send in the tear gas!!
 I can't wait to hear good news from you.

Jharris- I think a transfer of 3 is egggggcellent (hee-hee I crack myself up sometimes) Sorry about not having frosties, but on the bright side 3 is such an excellent number lets hope frosties don't matter.

love to anyone I missed
