Have a brill weekend hun .... We have Monday off here too (Bank hol) so im finishing work early (if i decide to go in, mite take day off depending on scan results) plus Mon - so nice long weekend for me too

Also next week, ive booked off Thurs and Fri (Friday being test day) so oly have to work 2 days Whippieeee ...

Looking more and more pregnant as the day goes on, i know they say that swollen tummy is a good sign, but i also get swollen when im due on - mind u, i dont think its this swollen ....

Will get on tomorrow at some point and let u kow what they say at the scan ... im sure its nothing to worry about and that maybe im eating a wee tad too much

Oh, and if u happen to come across my PMA, send him packing back to my house as im missing him summit rotten .... so return to one sad owner ...

Hi ladies, i went back to hosp today and got an internal scan as i am still swollen a week after ET - they said everything weas looking as it should look for a woman who has had IVF!! So, im normal lol.

I asked her if she could tell if my period was gonna start - and she said that all she could tell was that the lining was thick - but that could be that the embryo has implanted or it could be the witch on her way - i didnt tell her i had already tested (this morning first pee) ... i know its too early to tell yet - way too early - but im still disapointed and had a good cry ...

She told me that the earliest i could test would be Tuesday, but that if it came back negative, then not to worry as it still might be too early - im wondering now (i analize everything lol) if she said this to let me down gently, that it will be a negative, or to test cos it will be a positive ... Can they tell from the womb lining if the embryo has implanted or not?

I know that the lining of the womb grows before a period starts, but does it also get thicker IF an embryo has implanted? I really feel like my AF is gonna arrive soon and dont want to get my hopes up for the rest of the week cos i dont want to come back down to earth with a bang u know???

Its DH's 40th birthday the day after i test - i so wanted to give him a wopping birthday prezzie that he will never forget ....

Oh Becky, so releived to know that the scan came out with normal results.

I would like to:

1) Give you a massive hug for what you are going through. The 2ww is a horrid time and you've been through so much already.

2) Give you a walloping for POAS today. Just seeing a negative on that brings down the PMA and you know very well it takes you down a horrible path. Why are you doing this to yourself???? Its waaayyyy waayyyy too early. You may be Queen Becks, but I have to order you not to test until at least Tuesday like the nurse said. Please please Becky, don't put yourself through this. I am all for POAS before the blood test, but not this early. I wish I could contact your DH directly - I would tell him to confiscate all your HPTs.

I will look for the PMA and mail it to you ASAP!!!!

Ok, then Friday it is. I know its so difficult to resist HPTs, but they really are evil. Even though my clinic does blood tests, I just felt like I HAD to. Like your nurse said, Tuesday is on the earlier side. Oh, hun I know its difficult but do try to keep away from them until your proper test date. Does your clinic do blood tests????

Dunno if you remember but Angie and I were discussing a book called "The Secret". Basically its all about the power of thinking and how your thoughts eventually culminate into the outcome. If you were to follow the book, you have to keep on saying everyday that "I am pregnant". Say it enough times and beleive it.

I know this is rich coming from me, cause I can't seem to apply it to myself. But I am determined to follow it for the next round.
