Wow there has been a lot of great news on this site. Congrats to you all.
I hope that everyone enjoyed their long weekend!
I was wondering if anyone has experienced severe acid reflux and heart burn during the 2ww? I could hardly move all day Saturday and part of the day on Sunday. Any suggestions? I have not called the clinic yet because it has gone away and because I go on Friday for the Beta so I figured I could ask then.
Thanks for your help
L
Hey cookinggirl: My beta is the day after yours, and I woke uo with really bad heartburn this morning. It has gone away at the moment though. I was trying to decide if I should call my RE to see if I can take Tums or something. Good luck on your beta, and with your heartburn!
hello everyone. i would like to join the board and hopefully along with the list of bfp.
This is my second ivf. This ivf we transfered two blasts. I'm currently 7dp5dt. I started spotting sunday a little and i guess b/c i was being too active. anyway it kinda led into monday. it was light pink and brown. i called my ivf nurse and she told me that this could happen, which i know it could. she told me it could mean a lot of things, which I know. i did rest and drink plenty of fluids. the spotting stopped. i didn't have this with my first ivf. also since 4dpt5dt i had cramping...kinda like af but not strong at all. it is continuing today. I just want to know for all of those who spotted and cramped was this a key indicator for you that you would get your bfp? again, i do know everyone is different. I just want to know how many of you experienced it. thanks in advanced for your answers.
thechosenone- I had horrible cramping the entire 2ww and I spotted day 8/9 bright red blood after 3dt of 2 embies. No other symptoms, but I got a BFP. I think everyone is different. Some of the symptoms like nausea, breast tenderness is due to the progesterone/estrogen supplements, so usually there are no clear symptoms of implantation.
Best of luck!

Just a quick update I had my first beta on 5/23 with a 224, today I have my second and we are at 1411.. they want me to come in for an ultrasound on 5/30 , and lik ethe others I know I wont be able to hear heartbeats but it will be awesome seeing the little sacs.. I cant wait!!! Finally a BFP!!!!
wannalewisbaby: congrats on your beta number! This is also my 1st IVF, my 1st beta on 5/22 was 332 and today the 2nd beta went up to 3646. I'll have to come in for 1st u/s on 6/9. Did your RE change your protocol after the 2nd beta? My RE switched me to one a week shot instead of every day PIO starting tomorrow. I'm so happy to hear the nurses congrats me on my pg.
To others: I'm sending my luck to your way. This is an amazing journey. Best luck to you all.
It's good to see this is still the positive board!! Congrats wannalewisbaby!! And zippyOR, your beta sounds fantastic, too! And chelly, thanks for the Tums suggestion! Glad to know it's okay to take something! Hope everyone else is doing great?!
Hi Ladies! So glad everyone is doing well. I haven't been on in a few days b/c we had a bad storm--I have satellite internet at home. Anyway congrats to all the new BFPs!!
Chelly-your u/s is today? Let us know what you see! I have mine tomorrow-I'm barely 6wks, so they said thay are basically just looking for position, etc.--I'm still nervous.
Hi yall!
well, the update is.....one health baby!! We got to see and hear the heartbeat, and our little bean measures right on schedule for 7 weeks! The tech kept looking for the 2nd baby b/c my beta was so high, but she said its just the one! We are so excited!!
Drjen- wow, that is great you already get your 1st scan! I am sure your baby is fine and right on schedule!
zippy- congratulations! you are so lucky to only do PIO once a week. My clinic doesn't start weaning us off until 10 weeks. Another 3 weeks of PIO...yeaa!!
wannalewisbaby- congratulations too!! It is an amazing experience to see your baby on the screen for the 1st time, even if it looks like a tadpole!!
God Bless!

YAY chelly!! That is awesome! It is so cool you got to hear the heartbeat already! Glad to hear enrything is going smoothly for you and your little bean!! 10 weeks of PIO??? I was wondering how long I might be on these. I really hope it won't be that long for me!
DrJen: Good luck with your U/S tomorrow! Can't wait to hear the results!
I am SO happy for you! God Bless you and your family and your little baby! Did they schedule you for a follow up US?
Adriana's follow up is tomorrow morning and I'll post the results. I pray for everything to be good. She's 8 weeks preggo tomorrow.
An interesting story happened to me today. I was at the dentist having a cavity worked on and the dentist said "this needle is going to hurt like a mother!" After I told him "you don't know MY mother!" (just kidding mom!), I told him that my wife had been taking much more intimidating needles for the past month.
I explained why, and then the assistant told me she just did two cycles in the past year at the same clinic we use. She was unsuccessful unfortunately. We talked after for 20 minutes. It was sad but nice in a way. Just thought I'd share.
chelly: isn't that wonderful to finally hear the heart beat of your onw baby? I don't know how I react when my turn comes (June 9th), but I am very happy and excited to count down to the moment that I have longed for. Too bad that you have to be on PIO for full 10 weeks. My butt is so sore, and I can feel lots of bumpies there already. I'm now on weekly hydroxyprogesterone till week 10.
jharris: 2 more days to your beta, are you excited? My RE office doesn't allow us to use HPT due to the inaccurate of the test, I did it anyway since day 9, however didn't get a clear +ive until day 12. It had been stressful during those days, so if I had to do this again, I would have waited till the beta test. It is good that you are strong to hold till your beta day. Good luck on your result and keep us posted.
Jim: It's amazing what a small world we really live in when you come across situations like that! Maybe your story gave her hope to try again!
zippyOR: I am very excited about my beta tomorrow. And very nervous, and anxious, and all kinds of emotions! I actually did break down and use and HPT yesterday, which I guess would be 12dp3dt, but it was negative. But I know it is still possible to get a positive beta, so I am not giving up hope!
Hope everyone else is still hanging in there! So many good things happening with this wonderful group!!
