sugabeanz- I thought I was going nuts thinking the morning sickness had returned!!! I am glad I am not the only one. It was bad over the weekend but better yesterday and today. I guess it is our fluxing hormones. Joy, joy...

loopie - Congrats on your boy!!! Your are having a son.... Is it sinking in yet?! Any names picked out?

Katie- How did your appointment go? Hope all is well.

loopie - I am sorry you have to deal with family crap. It really does get annoying and old, doesn't it? Are you having the skids all summer? How are they dealing with the pregnancy?

I had my regular appointment today and all is well. According to their records I have gained 12 pounds and my doctor told me to start getting exercise because she doesn't want me to gain too much weight. Sheesh, I thought I was doing well. She said 30 pounds total and a lot comes on at the end. I also had her check my cervix and it is closed tight. I had been having some pressure and weird pains and she said it was just a combination of my uterus growing and the fact that I was really constipated   ! She suggested more water and less cheese........ So I don't have to go back for another four weeks as all is normal, normal, normal. I do have to do the three hour glucose test in three weeks though. I passed the first one early in my pregnancy but they want to check again because many women my age develop gestational diabetes. I am really hoping to dodge that bullet but will deal with it if it happens. I will just really enjoy what I eat this month, as next month may be very different.

Hope all is well with everyone.

Score two more in the girl column! That's right, today they said with confidence that my twins are girls. We only agreed on boy names so it's back to the drawing board I guess. :D So as usual, things continue to be a rocky road for us. I swear my body just doesn't like this pregnancy thing. The good news was my cervix was long and closed and the hematoma is getting smaller. Yay! Then they dropped the bomb. I appear to have the beginning signs of what they call Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (I won't bore you with the details). Luckily the babies right now seem to be about the same size and their heartbeats looked good, but I will have to be monitored very closely. I'll have ultrasounds every 3 days to check the amniotic fluids. Next appointment is Monday. Jeesh...I am realizing that every time I post I have nothing but drama to report, and I am usually the most easy going, low maintenance person! I guess when you force your body to do things it clearly doesn't want to do, this is what happens. Glad to hear everyone is doing ok, with the exception of those bouts of morning sickness and hot whoowhoos, and stepkids. Weezie - I am going to GapBody right now to check out those pjs. I live in oversized t-shirts and giant men's flannel pants. I bet DH might like to see me in something that resembles women's clothing! Oh, and Rio - my 40 week due date is Nov 10, although DH and I are betting on Oct 22.

Hugs to all!

Corny- sooo lucky- ident girls!!!! and not so lucky on the other stuff=- sheesh every 3 days, really?i'm sure the docs know what they're doing!

they took a ton of pix today, but no real sweet ones of the bean's face- great feet, though!! yeah, I'm getting used to the thought of it- Dh and i were really hopin for a girl, there are tons of boys in the families, even my mom said - "oh, I was sort of hoping for a girl", but the universe knows what is supposed to happen, and I was supposed to have a boy baby - maybe he'll be a really sensitive guy who likes to wear kilts! still laughing about it all- it is starting to sink in...hope he'll learn to put the seat down!

weezie- oy already with the skids and ex- don't let them get to you- you are the most important person- you're making a miracle, after all! maybe they'll surprise you and not be so selfish

girls you are all marvelous and we are all about half way there! CONGRATS to us!!!

appointment went well except Parker (thats his name) was half asleep and wouldn't roll around for anything so the pics were not as good but I cant compain. They said he looked fine. It was kinda funny watching him half asleep playing with his feet it was cute. of course like an hour later he was up moving like crazy. who else has picked names? We are going with Parker Layton. Layton is my DH name and we want to keep it but we will use it for his middle name and drop the suffix. Hope all is well.

Hey girls
I'm back sorry i had good intentions of logging on to let you all know i was going on holidays to Tasmania before we left but time wasn't on my side any way i'm back and ready to get on with things .

firstly i have to say sorry for the ladies restricted to bed i hope it's not to awful i couldn't imagine so i'm hoping your finding things to keep you entertained how are your hubbies coping mine would not be happy i would suspect he would probsbly starve in the first couple of days .

wow is everyone finding out the sex or am i the only the only one going to have a suprize my scan is on the 3rd of june and i still can't decide if i want to know it would be great to be able to name the bub now and by specific clothes instead of yellow or mint green but i cant help but think if i do find out that i can't take back know if i then realize that i really did want the suprize anyone dissapointed after knowing not about the sex of bub but about not waiting till the end. is anyone else leaving it to be a suprize surely i'm not the only one am i ?

Anyway iv'e definately started to show in the last two weeks and it can't be hidden any longer. sorry no hot woo hoo for me but goodluck with that ha ha i'm sure its all normal. i'm definately getting the stretching pains though and i'm feeling bub on a more regular basis which is reasurring. Any one else getting indigestion yet its awful it makes me feel like yakking sometimes i think i would feel better if i did.

Best go good to be back oh i'm not back to original weight yet so Rio no gain yey for me mind you i'm sure i will soon with ds i put on 6 kilos from original weight to end with ds i don't know how much that is in pounds. and if i can decide whether to find out the flavour of my bub i'll let you all know after my scan on the 3rd of june.

Hope everyone is well

welcome back jomae - nice trip !
actually, at the last second, when the tech was doing the US, I almost said I didn't want to know, but, well, I really did want to, though I'm not publicizing it - I told 3 close friends and my mom, and they are sworn to secrecy! I don't want tons of baby blue crap for my shower ( whenever that is!) 6kilos is about 13lbs - it's a little more than double, and that's not a lot!

now- important question for boy baby mommas --- circumcision? I don't want to do it, but I think Dh wants to hmmmm- not like you can really compromise on this subject! my feeling is, we are not religiously bound to it, and in today's more sanitary conditions, there is really no need to do it, but as he is, perhaps he thinks jr bean should be, too? dunno -

it's beautiful here today! sunny, low humidity- so i'm going to get out and run some errands!

xxloopie

Anyone else getting hip pain if they sleep on their hips without a pillow? Weird I know but I am sure normal.

Loopie: As for my opinion, and dont take it cause just me...but on the whole circumcision thing I would do it just cause I dont like the way it looks when it is not done lol. Other than that a lot more people are choosing not to do it these days. Sure it is more sanitary but if you teach your son to wash properly it should be fine. ALSO I have read that if you circ. your son later in life he has less of satisfaction in the bedroom than he could have had if you left it be...so you are up for a decision to make! Either way, he will be fine and beautiful!

Joame: Welcome back!!! I think it is great you are not finding out the sex. I myself could not do that! More power to you!

Corny: Twin girls! I love it!

Why all these boys out there? We need some more girls lol. I can not believe some of us are already half way there...hard to believe it! Congrats to us! It is weird to think if I carry to 34-36 weeks I only have 13-15 weeks left! *yikes* Hopefully in a week I get to come off bed rest! The pressure really has gone away pretty much unless I am up walking too much. We shall see!

Okay, you are probably tired of hearing from me but I need to complain a little. (this may be TMI for some so sorry!) I had to call the DR today because I have this HORRIBLE pain in my right side. Constipation I thought. Well yesterday I threw up...maybe just second tri morning sickness? Never had it so dont really know what it feels like...nauseated all day yesterday. Today, woke up again nauseated. The pain starts. I have green stool. Virus? I call the doctor because I am in pain...an hour later the nurse calls back (a nurse I have never delt with) and she seems to really not know what she is talking about nor care. She asks if the baby is moving...well yes from what I can tell because I dont feel them too too much still. Well, you probably just have a little stomach bug...drink lots of water. Ok...what is the stabbing pain...oh just constipation or gas maybe...well I am not constipated no problem in that area...so gas? Really? Gas makes you hurt this much? Oh, just put a warm compress on it, drink water. Green means virus right? Vomiting means virus right? Sheesh. I could have figured that out on my own just wondered why it hurts to move an inch! I just dont like when people seem not to care about your symptoms. Funny note though (I am parinoid about listeria for some reason)....I was like are you sure I dont have that...and she starts to laugh and say...no no I dont think so...but I have some of the symptoms...

I think I just need to relax haha. So sorry about the odd/nasty note above just needed to vent.

hey Girls
You've all been sooo supportive, I can't thank you enough!! I wanted to come on and tell you I had a chemical :( The betas started to go down on the 3rd one.
I was frustrated with the overstimming & that may have been the reason, but it was good overall with the TCM, so I'll keep on with that.
I know it's a numbers game if the eggs are good, so I'm going to try again in Aug/Sept. You'll all be about cooked by then :)
Our thread doesn't seem to be doing great this month so far. LoveBug looks to have taken a break from the board...this stuff is so difficult.

Whassup with all the boys? Loopie..just going along with the trend i see :)
Anyway, Lots of love to you all! I promise to keep the PMA.

Rin - I'm so sorry hun. I posted a message for you on the other side.

Suga - I have been getting bad hip pain too, but it seems to be worse when I DO have a pillow between my legs. DH thinks that my hips are probably widening, but whatever it is, it keeps me up at night. I have my fingers crossed for you that your bedrest only lasts one more week. I actually cheated a little today and moved around the house a bit. I dusted the dresser and I even put a load of laundry in. I felt so productive! It was nice to get the blood circulating a bit, of course now I am totally feeling guilty about it. The docs did tell me I could get up and move a little, but I may have taken it a little too far today. I will be sure tomorrow to stay in bed all day, that's for sure.

Corny you are better than me! I got so bored the other day I went to Michaels to get a craft to do then got home and really felt guilty. I was only out for 20 minutes at the most. Then I do have to cook dinner for myself some night because the husband is at school as well as walk the dogs really fast because he is gone so that makes it almost impossible to stay in bed unless I want to smell pee and poop all day. Other than that...bed or the couch all day.

Hi girls
Rinnie sorry to read your news just keep fighting your time is coming real soon goodluck for your future cycle

Suga have you thought about the vitamins your on I know when i was on elivit my poop went dark green i was told it was to do with the iron levels in the vitamins and that was the cause of the colour change, as for your pains i know i get sharp pains in my hips which is siaticar (sorry cant spell it) which use to give me trouble even when laying down and its very painful to walk, just something to think about anyway i hope your getting some answers and feeling better.

As for all these little boys in the making have you ever noticed that babies come in waves of boys then girls as i'm hopeing for a girl and was at the later end of cycleing of us ladies i'm hoping the wave is changeing for me today i'm swaying to find out what we are having i may just do it i guess i won't decide until i'm on the bed with the machine going

thanks loopie had a great time bit too cold for me though one day while down in tassie we had minus 7.7degree and they compared it to the antartic that same morning and tassie was colder bbbbrrrrrr.

Ds has just woken must go have a good weekend ladies

Hi all! Just a quick note cause I have 2 big appts to go get ready for this morning. I will have to read back and catch up with everyone.

Rinnie...I am sooo sorry. I wish had some great words of wisdom.

Today, they are doing a special Fetal Heart Echocardiogram...apparantly they have reason to believe that I needed this done. I am sooo nervous and scared. Please send all your prayers to us this morning. Afterwards we are going next door for my regular OB appt and the Gender Ultrasound....because today I am 20 weeks exactly and it just so happens to fall on my 40th birthday, today. So I know ....that only good news can come out of today.

I have a terrible ear infection right now...and we had to come home early from our mini vacation away (wedding anniversary trip) earlier this week....so I could get treated. Blah.

We did get a surprise ultrasound week ago last Tuesday, because I told him I was having a brown discharge...so they wanted to check my placenta and cervix. All was good there and she took a quick look to see that it looks like our baby has a "centerpiece" between his legs. The doc came in and took about 10 seconds looking and said, "You come back in 10 days....let's recheck then." So we are almost positive that it is Zachary William in there. We will know for sure today. William is after my DH Bill. I know that they say boys are very prominent in IVF patients due to the embryologists catching the fastest looking sperm to fertilize with the eggs...which the fastest are almost always boys. So I am not surprised. If it is a girl she will be Kaylee Marie.

We have all our carpets scrubbed...and our crib, dresser, glider, toy box, monitor, swing, bouncer, stroller, car seat, exersaucer all purchased and set up already. We just need to paint the nursery blue, tomorrow after verifying the sex, today. Guess we are just a bit excited. LOL They're throwing me a baby shower on July 26th. The doc said to plan nothing after Aug 1st. He is known for putting high risk ...older girls on bedrest by 27-28 weeks which is the end of July....so hopefully that isnt too late. It was the only date that would work for everyone.

As far as my sugar goes...I am on pretty high doses of insulin 3 times a day. However, it is under control and I am doing really well with it. My blood pressure is also under control and stable. (It went up quite a bit when I was babysitting my nieces and nephews a few weeks ago....for 3 days). Otherwise, I am doing pretty well.

I will be gone most of the day, due both appts and bday lunch with my Aunts (they're my moms)....then shopping (they're buying our bedding and bassinett today) and then a wedding reception tonight for a friend who got married in Vegas last month. So I probably wont make it back on here to update you on everything, till tomorrow. So no worries. I invited my Aunts (they raised us after our parents died) to the gender ultrasound and they are sooo excited. It worked out well, since we kinda found out in private first last week....and now they get to experience it with us. Best of both worlds. Sometimes I feel like I owe them everything...(they'll be in the room with us during delivery too)...cause they never got out and got married and had children ....since they got stuck raising us 3 bratty teenagers. LOL

Anyhow, I am rambling now....cause I am sooo worried that they will find a heart defect...since I was born with a hole in my heart (it closed up at 6 months) and I have a heart murmur now. My DH has a big family of heart problems. They're afraid with the gestational diabetes being diagnosed so early in pregnancy.... that there could be some problems. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers today. Thanks.
