Corny - you and your twins are in my prayers - lots of good luck your way! Pleave vent anytime, this is the perfect place for it, we all understand how hard you worked to get here and all you went through for your babies. Please keep us posted!
Katie - so sorry about your FIL and about DH's aunt. I hope he feels better soon so you can relax and enjoy your pregnancy.
Gecko- glad the docs are taking such good care of you, must be stressful but you know you are in caring hands. Chances are you won't need any of it but it is nice to know help is there if you do need it!
Loopie- glad things are going well for you!
Tammy- Glad that your contractions were just Braxton. I felt those very early but not lately, I do feel tugs and pulls and a heavy feeling towards the bottom of my now huge belly.
Jomae- glad you found out the sex! I didn't know you could pick the sex, I will definitely ask when going for #2!
Suga- sometimes I feel like my heartbeat is super fast too, even after just relaxing, it is very strange.

Corny - I'm so sorry for what you are going through. It sounds like a difficult thing for anyone to face but after all the struggle to get pregnant it seems especially unfair. I will say a prayer for you.

Gecko: Wow that is a lot of attention. I go to a high risk doc. once a month for the ultrasounds but that is it! Otherwise it is all reg. OB. Oh well, they are keeping close tabs on you!

Well, went to the doctor today and got a clean bill of health. I lost 1.2 pounds which he said was fine since the babies are right on target with their growth. So I really have only gained 9 pounds!! He said they both weight about 1 lb 2 oz. and are as long as a carrot. They tried to just let us see a little 4D but they would not cooperate and their faces were the other way. Oh well. But everything is normal. Cervix is 3 (was 4 a month ago!) but he said that is normal and I should not worry about it. It could have been longer but might have been the way I was sitting. But I am off bed rest as long as I take it easy and dont do too much. He wants me to go swimming as much as possible to get a little of the water retention out and of course it being good exercise. So we are lucky enough to have a pool.

Other than that nothing to report. (which is a good thing!).

Gecko- wow. you are recieving a lot of attention. Think of it as a royal treatment and you are the QUEEN :D I'm sure they are just being extra cautious because you are AMA. Don't you just hate it when the docs throw that term out? Like we're a bunch of white hairs with canes. Just keep taking care of yourself and enjoy the pregnancy.

Suga- glad you are off bed rest!! whoohoo. And it sounds like things are really moving along for you.

Corney- I'm very sorry this has been such a difficult pregnancy for you. You are proving to yourself and your girls that you are one tough mama. I will keep you in my prayers. My parents just came back from a religious vacation and she brought me back a St. Gerard medal. I am posting the prayer that accompanies it and hope it brings you peace.

This great saint is invoked as a patron of expectant mothers as a result of a miracle effected through his prayers for a woman in labor.

Prayer: O Great Saint Gerard, beloved servant of Jesus Christ, perfect imitator of your meek and humble Savior, and devoted Child of the Mother of God: enkindle within my heart one spark of that heavenly fire of charity which glowed in your heart and made you an angel of love. O glorious Saint Gerard, because when falsely accused of crime, you did bear, like your Divine master, without murmur or complaint, the calumnies of wicked men, you have been raised up by God as the Patron and Protector of expectant mothers. Preserve me from danger and from the excessive pains accompanying childbirth, and shield the child which I now carry, that it may see the light of day and receive the lustral waters of baptism through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Jomea- ha! so glad you found out the sex.

Katie- sorry about your FIL and his Aunt. Please be strong. I hope things are now on the upswing for you and you can begin to enjoy your pregnancy.

Kildean- glad to see you back. And congratulations on the girls!

Tammy= glad all is well. Don't feel bad. You are just being a cautious mom.

Loopie- sounds like your are really breezing through this. Good for you!

Hopin- all the names are beautiful.

Rio- how are you feelin'?

Mellie- what's the latest?

As for me, the skid and ex-wife drama continues. She is making outrageous threats and demands. And SS7 is now becoming a lying terror! Supposedly we won't get SD11 but I've learned nothing is ever certain with that crazy woman. All this crap is the only thing stopping me from enjoying my pregnancy. And I expressed this to Dh the other day. It will be my only pregnancy and I deserve to relish in it. Not be depressed and crying all the time because of his baggage. He agreed and it looks like DH and his ex will be going to battle it out in court. All of this started when she found out I was pregnant. I knew it would start a war.
But anyway. Went to see the peri yesterday for my 2nd level II and all it well. Heart, brain, kidneys, lungs...all good and growing. My mom and DH came with me and Gavin (we decided on Gavin Richard) was camera shy so we didn't get any face shots. But to my husbands delight we got 3 pics of "pete", a butt crack, and a cute pic of his legs with his ankles crossed. The peri made a comment that he doesn't ever recall ever taking so many crotch shots. He even told me that in 2 months if I wanted to come back while he was on call, he would give me a free scan to see if we could get a picture of his face.
My SS starts camp next week and I will be a free woman once again. I have signed up for a pre-natal yoga class at the gym and I plan on swimming my HUGE ass off. Oh yeah, my heart rate is super high too. But when I first found out I was pregnant my RE told me to expect that. I even bought a watch that monitors your pulse. It rarely drops below 80 and sometimes when I'm relaxed with my feet up it can be 100. Sitting at the pool it gets to 150. I was just told not to let it stay over 120 for an extened amount of time.

Well, I better run and get some work done. I promise to try and post a picture of how gigantic I am. I swear I got all of you beat!

Weezie: My DH's middle name is Gerard after St Gerard. Bill was a sick baby when he was born. That is too cool.

Suga: Glad to hear you are off bedrest. Yayyy!

Corny: You've been in my thoughts all week. Dont you find out something, today? I am praying for you all.

Gecko: Yes, I get alot of attention too. It's actually driving me crazy. I just wanta be left alone for a week. I talk to the docs office almost every other day and am seen once a week. No more antibiotics....my ear infection is gone.

My heart beat ranges from 95-115. Pretty normal for me though. I have only gained 4 lbs the whole pregnancy. I eat 5xs a day due to Gestational Diabetes...but I'm still losing. I was up to about 13 lbs 8 weeks ago....but am only up 4 all together, now. No worries, I have plenty for the baby to eat. The doc is happy, too.

Well like I mentioned earlier, I don't have the great baby face pic but I thought I'd post DH's favorite and the only other one that wasn't of his private parts.
DH is happy because he said Gavin has already found his penis and is trying to protect it with his hand.

Ladies, thank you all so much for prayers and support. I know it will help and I just don't know what I would do without all of you to cheer us on.

Well, we have officially decided to call the babies Madison and Abigail. Thanks for your feedback on Logan...we do love that name but we love Madison too and decided to go with that.

As for an update, we are in somewhat of a holding pattern. As of yesterday we didn't qualify for the surgery, so we go back to the surgeon on Monday for another look. Poor Madison though, she has so little fluid around her that she is almost shrinkwrapped in her sac. But she's staying strong right now. The surgeon called yesterday and asked if we would be willing to have the surgery filmed for a Discovery science documentary. I guess we can decide if we want to be interviewed or have our faces shown or not. DH and I decided that if we can do some good for someone else, it will be worth it, so I think we're going to go for it...as long as I can be assured that the film crew won't in any way distract the surgical team from what they are doing.

So that's it for now. We will know more on Monday, which seems like forever away right now. I'm saying a little prayer for Mia...I sure hope she is ok and is just too busy getting that nursery ready to post.

Weezie - thank you for that beautiful prayer. I cried as I read it aloud to DH. I know I said it already but thanks again to all of you. Without your support and kind words we would be lost.

Corny- so sorry you have to wait a few more days, I know it will feel like an eternity. We are all praying for you and your lovely twins. How cool to be able to help other people by being part of a documentary!
Loopie- I am with you, I am getting worried about Mia since she used to post so much.

Question: How many here are going for another IVF for a sibling?

I will use frozen but i dont think I could emotionally do a fresh cycle. I say that now but if I was put in the situation I could change my mind. But we will prob get it going once we are done nursing At least I say that now. It of course all depends on how Parker is. We will prob start a year give or take from when he is born. YEEEAAA

Good luck Corny. I cant imagine what your going through. It makes me shut my mouth if I even think about complaining. I will pray for you and your family. I admire your strenght and I think it helps your baby girls. Keep us posted we all praying for you. I think the documentary is a great thing. I love watching things and learning so I think it will be beneficial in the future for others and I admire you for considering it.

Joame: I am having braxton hicks. I had em during the ultrasound and the tech said that they are normal and start way earlier than most doctors thought t they did.

We will use the 2 eggs we got frozen once they are probably 2 years old. I can not just let them sit in storage or throw them away. If they do not take though I dont think we would do a fresh cycle...that may be it. Who knows we may change our mids eventually about another fresh. It was just so hard...

Corny: I'm so glad that you come here and post. It always feels good to think that your friends can trust you with their problems. This should be a really nice safe place to do your venting with plenty of sympathetic ears. I hope you get the answers that you want next week.

We have already started discussing baby #2. I just turned 37 and since my dx was diminished ovarian reserve we know that we don't have time to wait. We have one frozen blastocyst. The plan for now is to try to get back into treatment asap. That would mean when our little one is about 6 months old.

Of course, I reserve the right to change my mind and so does my dh. Since this is our first baby we could be overwhelmed or any number of things could happen between now and then that might make us change our minds. For now, we are planning to start a fresh cycle as soon as possible.

As hard as the journey was, I think we're strong enough to do it again. And I also don't think it'll ever be as emotionally difficult as it was the first time. The hardest part was all the sadness of not being a mom -- all the thoughts of never having our child together -- seeing everyone around me get pregnant. I think it'll be less sad when I have a baby in my arms. I even feel a little greedy for thinking that I might be able to have 2!
