I can't wait to hear how your nuchal goes, it is so nice spending a good 30 minutes examining the babies in detail, it helped me relax seeing not just the heartbeat but watching them move around and just hang. A big boost of confidence about this whole pregnancy thing.
My radiographer guessed they were both boys, but it is a big call at such an early stage and she said it could just as easily being protuding girl bits not properly developed.
My appointment with my Dr was funny, we Kiwis are very laid back - and he was positively horizontal.... nothing happened, he just said it was great and as good as I could hope, gave me a quick US (I insist on checking the heartbeats) and set up another scan for 18wks.... he is super experienced with high risk pregnancyies and I trust him implicitly - it made me chuckle I just thought there would be more.
I think after all the intensity and stress of IVF where every meeting chokes you up for some reason, or requires lots of meds and jabs these appointments are positively boring. Not that I am complaining but it is weird being back in the normal and healthy part of the world.
Anyway we are off to Australia for the weekend, a bit of shopping and relaxation. I hope I can find some decent maternity clothes, after trying to disguise the bump for the last coupe of weeks I am sick of looking like a blob.
Let me know how you go with the nuchal - thinking of you, and good luck with the pant zippers over the next week!
