Gennessa, I totally understand not wanting to tell your boss! I'm sorry to hear you are not sleeping well. I have had the same experience. I went and bought a body pillow with a really soft pillow cover. That seems to help somewhat. My nurse said not to sleep on my stomach, which is really hard for me! I hope you start to feel better, and that you can stay awake at work:)

Gennessa-yes, it will be your own personal choice when you tell your boss or coworkers. Don't worry about that. However, sick time is sick time so if you really need to take it go for it. I am lucky that I am sleeping better ever since I started taking the PIO shots daily. I feel pretty lucky. That pillow sounds awesome though, and that may really help.

Leigh31-can you tell me why the dr. said not to sleep on stomach? Is there any issue at this early stage? Just curious to know.

Irishhope-I'm hoping you will feel better. Is there any trigger that would help make it go away?

Hang in there ladies!

Hello, Girls,

Sorry for the silence. Wow, we are on page 6 already.

Just a quick update on me. I saw a very strong heartbeat yesterday, 138bpm. It was so emotional. I cried. My little one keeps pumping and takes my energy away from me for that, as I can hardly keep my eyes open. Next week I am going for my last U/S, and an RE appt and then will graduate to a regular OB. How exciting!
They say that my embie is 5-6 days late in terms of size, but no wonder since it had to develop from a 2-cell embie.

I had to make myself notes to be able to respond to all of you. So let's start with personals:

First of all, welcome all the newbies!

leigh31- why it's no good to sleep on stomach?? I am a stomach sleeper so will have to learn how to sleep differently. Your beta seems high, but why do they make you wait so long for the U/S? I had 3 already, and 4th one next week. Each time is very exciting.

ftg- My parents, in-laws and sister knew about the whole procedure from the beginning, but it still very nice to update them on every good news we get. After I saw the heartbeat yesterday, I am so relaxed and started telling my closest friends. They all get so excited and it is just so pleasant to say "i am pregnant". You will see soon. Every time I say that I get goose-bumps, as I dont fully believe it yet.

Genessa- congr on twins!!! That's wonderful. Cant wait for the U/s results!
I was not planning to tell my boss, but she caught me sleeping today at my desk, and if it happens again, I will probably have to tell her. I am waiting for a big promotion, so kind of want to hold off on the news till later.

IrishHope- my beta's were not high at all, as my embie was tiny tiny (2-cell) so it implanted late. beta#1 at 13dpt3dt- 71; beta#2 at 15dpt3dt- 130; beta#3 at 19dpt3dt- 980. I also llok like 4 months, I am bloated all the time. I wake up bloated. Does anybody experience this?

Children- thank you for the list. You misspelled my nick on the list:( Can you please correct it? Thx. My 1st U/S on 6/4- one sac; 2nd on 6/11- sac and yolk; 3rd on 6/18- sac, yolk, and a tiny baby with a very strong HB 138bpm!!!
I felt nausea this AM too and was insanely happy about it. It was very light, and I am thinking that maybe I imagined it :)

Amy27- congrats on the twins!! great!

Valen03- congr on twins to you too! how did your U/S go today? Let us know.

Rubylee- TWINS!! WOW! we have a twin thread here :) your hubby is funny. We TTC for 4 years, going to fert clinic for 3 yrs, with many many disappointments so we were both scared to get excited about it, but now I am ready to tell my friends. He will wait to tell his till 12 weeks.

Thechoseonee- where are you? How are you?

LB- have you decided anythign yet about the tests? When are they done? At which week? Let us know what you think.

DNT- how did the 2nd U?S go? Was the HB ok this time? Please let us know.

Cooking girl- so what's cooking? ;) congrats on the twins!!

Crogers- keep my fingers crossed on 6/30. Awfully long, doesnt it?

And now I got to run to the bathroom. I drink SO much and pee SO much :)
I am going to a concert of Gilberto Gil tonight. Cant wait.

Take care all of you, preggos. Enjoy every single moment of this very special experience.

Hi DNT,

Very sorry for your sad news and I wish you will find out why the fetus stopped growing soon. A break definitely is needed to regroup.

Hey Crogers - I fell like that all day long. My ER said its kinda like MS but just a different way of your body dealing with it. My lower back is acky the most and my tummy too is crampy all the time it goes away for periods but then right back. My ER said I was NOT drinking enough and in fact (it could be mental) but I find that if I feel crampy I drink and it seems to subdue a bit. Long story of it yeah I feel the same way and on top of that my DH's job is really home based and so he is at home gets to sleep in and I am here at my desk working eight hours a day. Oh well guess's thats why work is a four letter word.

Gennessa, thank you so much for the reply. It makes me feel so much better that I am not the only one feeling like this. I am not drinking as much water as I should but I will be changing that. Sorry you have to work! That would suck!! I think work is a four letter word too!! I just ate some dinner so I am feeling a little better. I am going to take it easy tonight and hopefully things will subside a little.

DNT, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I will pray for you to have strength, and that September brings you better results.

Unexplained Fertility, congrats on the heartbeat--how exciting! I'm not sure why the wait for the ultrasound. I looked on page 1 at the list that children made for us, and it seems that many of us don't have an ultrasound until week 6 or 7. I guess it's just different protocols for different clinics.

Ftg, I cannot recall the exact reason for my nurse suggesting that I not sleep on my stomach. I believe she said something about impeding the blood flow to the placenta.

As for me, I'm just waiting for my u/s on 6/30. I can't wait! Of course, I'm a little nervous. We are going on vacation next week, so hopefully that will make the time pass more quickly. Happy Friday!!

Good morning and Happy Friday - Boy am I glad its friday I am beat.

Cooking/Croger let me ask you how bad are your cramps. It seems mine are pretty much all day and at night I wake up two or three times with a stomach ach. My ER keeps saying not to worry but of course I worry.

Leigh how wonderful that you are going on vacation. Enjoy it! Is anyone else going away for the 4th of July. My DH and I are going camping but in my parents motorhome so I guess you cant not call that camping.

Oh I have a question what do you guys think about being on a boat. we are going to a lake and I did not ask the ER about it yet but I think it should be fine. Right?

To all those out there enjoy your day
