Had my Non-stress test (NST) yesterday. The stress is relatively non-stress but the environment is not. The waiting room was so very full at the fetal diagnostic center. And then there was a woman with 5 children and very pregnant with #6 (ages ranging from two thru eight). These kids were running around and making so much noise. The woman could not handle her own kids that were running amuck. There was another pregnant lady that couldn't stand waiting in the waiting room and complained to the girls at the front desk.
Anyhoo, I get called in for my test. My husband and I walk in. And I get placed next to the woman with all those kids. It was just a sheet curtain dividing us. What such luck.
I got these sensors put on my belly. We got to hear the heartbeat. The test was 20-40 minutes long depending on the readings. It sounded like galloping horses. Then I had to press a button each time I felt baby's movement. The nurse explained that they want to check the baby's heart beat at the time of the movement. Baby must have been sleeping. They gave me a cup of very cold water to drink in hopes that baby would wake up. Baby did but it only gave baby the hiccups which showed on the graph. We had mini u/s. This was to check how much amniotic fluid I had and baby's position. Well, the head is in the down position getting ready the tech said. My DH is so cute, he told the tech that we don't know the sex and don't want to know before she did it.
I have to schedule another one next week. OMG! I had a headache

I actually begged my OB/GYN not to send me there again because of my bad experience. But does anyone hear me, "No-o-o."
I had to say a sad farewell to my '94 Corolla which I bought brand new in March or '94. I cried

We purchased a 2008 RAV4. Thank goodness I knew one of the salesman execs at the Toyota car dealearship we went to. My DH felt so comfortable with him. We felt good with the purchase, no buyers remorse. I just got my temp. ins. card in the mail yesterday. So we're planning on bringing the car out to church and having it blessed as well as us, the drivers. My DH told me that it is the first time he's ever owned a new car.
Well, I've got to go. Baby is kicking and moving plenty. I think he/she is telling me that I have to go eat.
