IMblessed - Girl, you got me so teary with that story. That sounds freaking frightening! I am so sorry you had to experience that but so happy that everything is ok. Hope you can take some time off work and follow your RE's orders to take it easy.

Babysoft - I had my u/s at 6wks 3 days and got to see the heartbeats and the sacs. (What is the fetal pole?) In a close up I even could make out the tail and head. You will love it, a truly amazing experience. I get to go back for #2 on Monday and can hardly wait!

LB - I got those herbal Preggie Pops and they seem to help. The ginger ones really help. Also rice cakes and yogurt with cereal seem to be soothing. I don't want to eat but if I force myself to eat just a little something like that it keeps it from being debilitating.

I know this sounds crazy but does anyone feel like they are showing yet? I am 8 weeks 1 day and I may just be really bloated but I can't suck it in anymore. I also have twins, but I don't even know if this is feasible with two. I have only gained about a pound (though I gained 5 on IVF!) but my jeans feel awful.

Hope you are having a good weekend!

Neffi, Crogers, Leigh - how did your U/S got today? I was thinking of you

IMBlessed- what a scary story! I am glad everything is OK now. Just take it easy.

Have a happy Monday! I am staying at home today. I am recovering from the weekend camping where there was no cell phone signal and my friend had a diabetic attack (lost conscience and had a seizure due to low blood sugar) and my husband was driving her to the hospital (1 hour away) and a deer jumped on top of our car.
He is OK, my friend is OK, our car is not :(

Hi everyone - boy it seems like it was a busy weekend for everyone. I guess Ill start with the personals.

Unexplained - How was rafting did you have a wonderful time? Oh and I thought alot about what you asked if we would tell our beans about IVF and the answer is yes. But once they are old enough to know what it is. The reason is I have PCOS and my sister does too so even though they say its not genetic if we have a girl I would like her to be check early on. Just in case. But again not until she is old enough.

Imblessed - welcome and congrats on your BFP but also I am so sorry to hear of your scare I do hope everything turns out well and you rest as much as you can.

crogers - Feeling any better? How was your u/s today I can not wait to hear.

LB - movinh along huh 8 weeks I am jealous.

Ftg- r u still constipated?? I started taking two pills of citranel(fiber) a day and boy did that help. I feel so much better and a lot of the bloating went down. Its very safe and the RE recommened it.

Babysoft - SEX oh my the RE said not until after 12 wks. And even though I have not desire I feel bad for my DH I know he is waiting very patiently.

OK so now to let you all know that its offical at my u/s on Friday they saw two heart beats so its twins. I feel bad though because I just am not jump for joy yet. I mean at the u/s all you saw was a black spec with a white spec inthe middle and I guess I just want to see something real before I get excited. Does that make me strange? Well I am 6wks5days today so I to am moving along.

I hope to hear from you soon

We got to see the heartbeats for both of them and that was just so cool. Everything looks good our Dr. said so we will take it. I can't wait to hear what happened with everyone else.
1st IVF canceled in the middle for surgery(fibroid cyst in uterus)
2nd IVF- BFP

Genessa-thank you for the recommendation. I try really hard to control with diet/liquids and as natural as a fiber alternative as I can. I will definitely consider that too and I'm glad it helped!

crogers-Congrats to you on twins! I cannot believe how many twins we have on this board; that is sooooo cool! Hoping to hear a few others good news as well, as it seems all is moving along for everyone!

unexplained-what a scary time you had. I hope all will continue to go well, and your resting is a great idea right now.

Well hello ladies!!!
I went for another sono yearteday and still no heartbeat.
ER 5/26
ET 5/31

1st sono 5/18 saw a small black void which my doc said was going to be the gest sac
2nd sono 6/25 - should be 6w2d saw gest sac and yolk sac and only measured 5w2d
3rd sono 6/30 - should be 7w saw gest sac, yolk sac and fetal pole--no HB an only measured 5w6d
I am growing but a week behind!

What am I going to do??? Has anyone else measured small and saw the heartbeat late??? I am beginning to panic. I go for my next u/s next Monday 7/7...it seems so far away!!!

AS I posted eariler, my embie was late too, about 6 days.
I had 3 day ET on 5/14/08 and I saw HB for the first time on 6/18/08. If you have seen the yolk and the pole it is a good sign! That means the sac is not empty. Just hang in there till next U/S. Keep us posted.

Crogers- congrats on the twins!! We are getiing a lot of them on this thread :)

Genessa- what is PCOS?

Neffi- I thought I saw 6/30 as the date of your 1st U/S yesterday. Anyway, I bet you cant wait. I cant wait to see the little peanut again, and I have 2 more weeks to wait...long!

smattison-I looked up many sites, and there are so many women that have your same story about not measuring on time, yet turn out to have babies just fine. Its the whole art vs science thing...Dr's can NOT tell you everything, and I'm glad they admit it. The fetus eventually catches up. I am betting you are a-ok! Have there been any other blood tests ordered? Everyone that posted comments about this had to wait. I know its hard, however just keep thinking about your uterus being a nice cozy place to grow up, and keep up your PMA!

Hi smattison,

Welcome on board. I add one story which similar to yours. My colleague who went through ivf recently had a slow growing embryos before 7 wks and her RE kept telling her to be prepared for mc. It turned out to be ok at 9 wks scan and she is expecting in Aug! I had both of my first heart beats at 7 wks. Good luck to you and looking forward to your good news.

Hello Ladies,

I hope all it well with everyone! CONGRATS...ON the Twins!! I'm so happy...you pray/hope for one and are blessed with two...just WONDERFUL!!

Smattison - I wanted to let you know I am in the same situation as you...except I got preggors naturally. I too should be further along according to my lmp...I should be at 7 weeks, but I'm only 6 weeks and 2 days now...I went in for the u/s yesterday and finally heard the baby hb...it was 126bmp! I will let you know that since you have the fetal pole..that is a VERY good sign..the fetal pole usually grows right before the hb starts, so don't be alarmed..you are growing and although you feel you should be further along...your emby implanted when it was ready. You should be able to hear the hb at the next u/s....best of luck but please remember the fetal pole is a great sign!!

Well I hope every has a wonderful week! I'm going away from the board for a little while...I'm starting to occupy my time with other things! I will check back in on everyone from time to time. I'm really happy to have a great group of women to have shared my experience with...I wish you all the best of luck!!

crogers - Congrats! This board is twin crazy. I saw you on the double trouble board too. I am sure both of us are going to have tons of questions. I just got a great multiples book, well I got a bunch of them, but one is set up by trimesters and is really helpful. I will post the name of it for you tomorrow.

smattison - I'll be thinking of you over the weekend. You sound like you are staying positive which I am sure is hard but just what you need to do. Visualize that heart starting up in there. I'll be watching for your good news on monday!

Everything is cruising along here. Still as nauseated as ever but getting closer to that 2nd trimester! Can't wait.

Hello everyone - Well my day at work is almost over and I get to go home. My Dh and I are going camping this weekend and leave tomorrow. I mean we are taking my parents motorhome so its not really camping but I will be out doors.

Rubylee and Crogers I too saw you on Double Trouble I have not written to them but I have read all the posting. Rubylee let us know that books you got I am very interested. I know its way to early but I have started to look for twin stuff like strollers and those twin pillows just stuff like that.

I am bit unconected thought righ tnow beacuse I dont feel anything. I have no MS and I feel fine besides being tired..... I know that sounds horrible as many of you are not feeling well but I guess I just want to feel something. my mom says knock on wood but both of my sisters never had any really problems either. I am very excited that its two. I can not wait to find out the sexes. I hope we can find out earlier then 16wk.

Whats the earliest you can see???

Anyways I hope everyone has a wonderful 4th. OH Rubylee where in LA are you??? Im in the San Fernando Valley

Gennessa- I was just at Target and was mesmerized by all the baby stuff. I forgot the main thing I went there for because I was so involved in that section. I would never let myself look at that stuff the whole time we were trying so it felt so good to have a reason to be in there. They didn't have any twin stuff though. I suppose it will have to be Baby's R Us or something.
How far along are you? I didn't feel anything but tired until about 6.5 - 7 weeks. I have heard that you do tend to follow how your mom was, though you have two in there so your hormones are going bonkers.
I live in Culver City and have a dog and cat boutique in Santa Monica called Tails of Santa Monica. Stop by if you're ever at the beach! I am sure you are heating up over there.
I will post those book titles tomorrow.
