Dakota we are on the EXACT schedule!!! That is crazy!!!! Congratulations!!!
Neffi good luch with your US tomorrow!!!
Crogers I too am a little nervous about carring twins, I went to the local library and checked out every book they had on TWINS. I am just going to try to read every book I can get my hands on, and just really take care of myself by trying to eat healty etc.
Gennessa I totaly agree with you on the c-section issue, I think if you can have your twins vaginally then why not!! Of course if its NEEDED then I have no objections. I had my dd vaginally and I am hope that I can do the same with these two.

GOOD LUCK NEFFI! I know your nervous, I have been nervous with both my U/S. But you will love it and everything is going to be great!!

Welcome Dakota! We have got a lot of twin moms on this board.

ftg - Happy graduation! I am excited to start up with my regular OB. I don't know what testing I'll be doing yet. Do you know if you are doing a quad screen? My friend, who is 37, had it done because of her age and she found out the sex at 11 weeks! I guess it is really detailed.

crogers - I am very nervous about carrying twins. I am happy to have two but worried about bed rest, pre term labor and the delivery. PMA though right.

Ruby- I wrote down the list of books you posted and I am goign to get them. I have a bunch of books reserved at the library, but I was waiting until my first US to get them. I felt like I was going to jinx myself by getting them too early.

As far as c-sections, of course I havent seen my OB yet, but my office is very strict about not doing c-sections unless it is a must. We'll see what she says, but if I can I hope to do vaginally.

Crogers-I tell you, I have a world of emotions going on since I found out we have twins. I am SO excited, but I am also so, so scared. Its a major blessing, but I dont think its going to be the easiest road ever traveled.

Chrissy- How exciting!!!! Its going to be so great to have a same date with twins buddy!!!! AND we both found out yesterday!! When do you go back for your next US? Are you having any symptoms?

Sara- I have been secretly reading the double trouble board in hopes for twins and I am going to head on over there because I am sure as time goes on I am going to have loads of questions for the pros :D

FTG- thats a good one!!! Virgin bloody mary's...hehehe. I got alot of questions over the holiday "why arent you riding the wave runner?", "why arent you getting on the water skis?", "want a beer?", "why in the world are you drinking milk with dinner?". It was very interesting!!!

question, does anyone feel like they have been doing a butt load of crunches everyday? My stomach muscles feel very tight and kinda sore.

Also, have you guys heard of those little doppler like things that you can rent for 3 months to hear the heartbeat(s)? How soon can you order those?

I hope all is well with everyone and ya'll are feeling well.

Todays the BIG day Neffi!!! I cant wait to hear how ti went!!

Hi everyone, and Hi new comers, welcome.

Very happy to see everyone is doing fine and I kept reading everyone's progress although I have not posted much. Here is my update.

I had seen my regular ob yesterday. He did U/S on me and I saw the baby's head and four limbs again, plus a strong heart beat. Everything looked great, according to my ob. The heart beat rate was estimated between 150~160 and fetus size is 10w1D. We will have our first trimester screening in July 24 and will update then.

Neffi, good luck on your US.

FTG, we are going to do the trimester screening, but it is not as accurate as CVS or Amniocentesis. However, the last two procedures are too invasive for us to consider. My eggs are all 43 yrs old and they have hi changes of giving down babies. We did not do any tests for our first pg and our DD turned out normal, luckily. My obs don't think we should worry at all. Good luck to both of us.

All the mothers of twins here, I am with you all, I was very worried to have twins myself but I think it's a blessing and definitely manageable to have twins. You are all young and energetic and I believe you will have a smooth and uneventful pg journey. I can also give you all some encouragement here since I have two ivf friends who delivered twins at age of 44 and 36, respectively.

Have to go to get some work done, take care, everyone!

Hello everyone - boy so many new people and so many TWINS!!!!

Where to I begin. Dakota welcome and twins YEAH!!! As for stomach pains I am good now but in the first few weeks OH my it was bad my stomach was tight and I had a lot of cramping but it has gone down now.

chrissy welcome also another set of twins!! And yeah the c-section thing is strange but of course whatever it best for the babies and me. I will not disagree with the Dr. but I would like to at least try for a vaginal birth.

Rubylee so you get to be done in Jan now. Lucky.... But please still stay on this thread and keep us informed on your progress. I feel as though we are all in this together now.

Children - Sounds like everything is going very well congrats on that.

As for me I am doing ok I am fighting alot with the DH. I just feel like he is in the way all the time. He comes home from work and says "I had a hard day at work" HELLO I did to and I am preggers here. Just everything he does seems to bother me and the fact that we are not getting any special alone time Dr. orders is hard I feel like that is a big part of staying connected.

I too am nervous about twins but my sister has twins identical girls they are 23 this yr. And my DH had four sets of fert twins in his fam so I have alot of support. But I just am nervous about is hte house big enough I mean its three bedrooms but its still small will we all fit. And will I be able to go back to work or am I going to be working to pay for daycare. So many things going on in my head plus we have to buy a car to fit two careseats and a double stroller.

Oh on a positive note whiling seat at work doing nothing beacuse I just cant seems to focus I found that graco has a twin basenett. It seems to be the only one out there. I looked at all the other brand but Graco has a twin one. For anyone interested. I know its early as I am only two months TODAY! But its still fun to look.

Well thanks for listening to me vent.

Wow...the twins on this board is staggering, but also sooo cool! I'm do glad I get to read about it!

CONGRATS! to Dakota; I was on the May/June cycle buddies with you too. This is such great news!

CONGRATS! to chrissy as well...unbelievable! I'm going to have to look back now at our first page and see what percentage of us are having twins!

Rubylee-I didn't hear about a quad screening. What I am having is "combined screening" which includes u/s and bloodwork to get a risk factor for down's (neucal fold). We also get genetic counseling at the same time, so may hear about it. The only thing I won't do is amnio unless someone tells me it would be detrimental NOT to have it. We have come so far and gone through so much just to get here, anything to endanger the little one during my pregnancy at all I could not bear. What we are going to get, is what we are going to get and will love it all the same. But how cool would finding out the sex at 11 wks be? My dr. told me we have to wait until 18-20 wks with that u/s.

Neffi-waiting to hear your great news today! Keep up the great work everyone!

ftg - I agree, don't do more testing than you feel is necessary. Especially if it won't change the outcome anyway. I'll have to look more into the quad screen my friend was telling me about. I guess, as usual, it is widely used in Europe because of how much it genetic testing it accomplishes without endangering the fetus, but we haven't caught up yet.

Gennessa - I think the Graco Pac n Play is the only twin bassinet. I have been reading that twins should sleep together for quite awhile anyway so I was thinking of getting the original sized co-sleeper. That should work for several months anyway. Sorry you're having trouble with DH. I am sure it is just you guys getting used to all this. I have been really sensitive because of the hormones, which may be a factor for you as well. Or maybe your DH needs some hormones himself.

Hope you all are having a great day. Can't wait to hear from Neffi!

Hello Ladies!

I saw my baby today! It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen! I cried....alot! I couldn't help myself, it was such a great day! Dh and I are so happy! Things are finally starting to seem real! We saw the heartbeat....151bpm! I go back in 2 weeks for another u/s then I will be released to my OB. I am so overjoyed! I also started to feel crappy today. I am light headed and nauseous. It lasted from like 9-3 now I feel fine, but I am so tired. Anyway thanks to everyone for all the support! I will be checkin in!

Neffi-that's awesome! I cried too, and it was really uncontrollably emotional. To see that little bean you are totally responsible for really made it all come true. Yay for you and your DH!! We will look forward to hearing more good news from you over the coming weeks and months.

When did you start noticing your pants getting snugger in the mid section? Yesterday I had to struggle to button my pants, but they were stretchy so within an hour I was fine, but this morning with my jeans I could button them but they were uncomfy, so I have a rubber band on them.

Isnt it too early for that? I was reading that with twins you can start to see expansion around 6 weeks.

Dakota - I noticed at about 7/8 weeks that I was feeling bigger. I thought maybe it was just bloating and fluid. I am 10 weeks tomorrow and am unable to wear my jeans. I put them on the other day, it lasted about 1/2 hour. I felt like a stuffed sausage! My belly has been really itchy too which I think means it is stretching. Crazy.

Hope everyone else is good. I am so hoping this m/s is going to go away at 12 weeks. It has actually been worse the last few days. I threw up for the first time today. Yuk! Trying not to complain because this is such a blessing but I so don't want it to get worse!

I am now 9 wks, and I started noticing bloating (I have been constipated from still being on progresterone so don't know if its constipation being pregnant) around the 7 wk mark, and even DH has now noticed I am a different shape. I really only have a couple pairs of pants I can wear, and have just started looking for new stretchy ones. :)

I'm sorry for your m/s Rubylee. I'll bet it will subside and go away for you soon! Just keep a little food/drink on hand wherever you can even if it doesn't sound like a great idea at the time.

Good morning everyone -

talk about clothes not fitting. I have a wedding this weekend and though oh I would just wear one of my party dresses that I have. Well my mom was like you are not going to fit in your dress. Of course I had to agrue with her and so I went over and tried the dress on and sure enough it did NOT fit. In fact I tried on every dress I have and non of them fit. apparently my boobs have gotten so big that everything pulls and look really funny or I cant zip it up all the way due to the boobs. I have not gained any weight but I guess I just didnt notice that I have gotten so big on top. so today after work I am off to sears or target to quick buy a summer dress for this wedding. And I am only eight weeks and two days today. Its gona be a long nine months for sure.

Oh I have my eight week check up today. Cant wait to see how much the little ones have grown. I still dont see much in the picture as it all looks like black specs to me but maybe today well get to see more. Question for you ladies, when do you graduate to a belly sono rather then the internal sono??? My MIL wants to come to the dr. appt today but I just dont have that close of a relationship with her and really do not feel that I need her to see my down below situation as of yet. I dont know I guess I just feel weird she has already asked me if she can be in the birthing room and I am not even past the 1st trimester yet. I mean of course I would invite her in but I just feel like everything is moving so fact and she is pushing a bit. Anyone else having this problem?

I hope everyone is doing well and the the m/s is settling down for those of not feeling well. Talk to you soon
