Rubylee - Following is the Poop Paste recipe I had posted on the May/June board. It is supposed to help with constipation...apparently it looks vile, but tastes like applesauce (I haven't tried it, but others swear by it):

1 cup of bran, (if not ground, grind up for smoother paste)
1 cup of prune juice
1 cup of applesauce

It becomes a prunie paste. Refrigerate.
Take 1 tablespoon up to 3-4 x a day.

Dried apricots are supposed to help, as well...

Hope this is helpful...

Tara - Can't wait to hear your U/S report!

Maz - Welcome! I'm not sure I totally understand your question about the timing...there is a great website that provides due date calcuations along with average gestation timelines for twins or other multiples. Myabe it would help? All you need to know is the date of your ER. http://www.ivf.ca/calcu.htm. Maybe this will help? Good luck!

Reading all of your posts is helping me get prepared for what's to come...round ligament pain, m/s, etc. So far, I am just tired and have kind of a crampy/gross feeling in my stomach. No m/s yet, but a little nausea here and there. So sleepy, though...and I feel like I'm running low on patience with people at work (probably because a-I'm so tired and b-I have this secret that I want to scream about to the workd but have to keep bottled up inside for a while). Anyway, I have given my right cheek a full week reprieve from PIO shots, my left side has been holding up pretty well, and my right side is finally starting to hurt less...still quite uncomfortable, though. I'm so jealous of all of you that have stopped or are getting close to stopping the PIO shots. No desire to do the suppositories, though...so I'm hanging in there!

Hope you're all having a wonderful day!

Mafalda- 2 more days until your u/s, are you hanging in there?

Genn- How did your MIl react when you put your foot down about the picture?

LB- Glad all is well & congrats on graduation to OB!

Neffi- You are moving along fast girl, it just seems like yesterday you got your BFP and now your only weeks away from 2nd tri. Good for you!

Rubylee- Hope all is well with you & the ms is letting up some.

Adsgirl- How the bottom??

Tara- I bet you are wiggling out of your skin with anticipation to see your little one(s) today!! I cant wait for you

I need to stop reading other threads and forums. I am so freaked out about everything, I am giving myself a heart attach!!! I think I am going to be a nervous wreck until at least 10 weeks. Good golly!!!!

I had an incident last night with my PIO. I am "in training" doing them myself until DH heads out tomorrow night, then I am on my own, so per RE I am doing them right now under Dh's supervision. Anyway, I dont know what happened, but I started bleeding at the injection sight like a stuffed pig. DH freaked out!! Turned white. Asked me every 15 mins if I was ok, first thing this am he asked if I was ok. It didnt hurt, I dont know why that happened??? It made me a little woozy to see all that blood, I had to sit down, but that was it.

I leave in 4.5 hours for my u/s and I jsut know the day is going to go by SO slow!!

Dakota - Can't wait to hear your results.

I feel your pain. My appointment is in about 4 hours. I can't concentrate, not to mention I am really nauseous today!

Then we got a call about 1:30 this morning the DH grandma had just passed away. She was very old, had lived a full life and her husband had died 6 years since ago. So for the last 6 years she has wanted to die to be with him. But it is still sad and a bummer that it happened today!

Tara- I am so sorry to hear about Dh's Grandma! Even though its sad, its good to know she lived a full life and now gets to be with her love. Its always been said "with death, comes life". So when you and DH are ready you'll be able to share your news to the family of the new life. So, it will pick up the spirts in the family.

Oohhh...I am dieing to know how many you got hiding in there!!!!

Thanks for the recipe AdsGirl, I am going to try it for sure.

Tara - I am sorry about your DH's grandma. Like Dakota said, it is really nice to think of her reunited with her husband. Hope you guys will get time to spend with family.

Dakota - I did that exact thing once when I was on my own. I should say I had a few of those, but one actually was like a spout that flew about an inch away from my butt and all over the floor. So freaky. I think we must have hit a little vein or something. That was about 3 weeks ago and I still have a little blood blister bruise thing on my cheek. I am glad DH wasn't there or he would have freaked liked yours.
I read all those posts at first too, and I agree whole heartedly, stop! It doesn't do you or your beans any good.

Hello hello everyone -

Tara what wonderful news I am so happy for you and DH. Your little bean is going to grow up so fast. And I am sorry for your and Dh's loss. I know that can be hard. My thoughts are with you guys.

Ruby you sound like you are doing well I hope the recipe works and if not I am on two pills of Citranal (sp??) a day. They are all nartural fiber pills and I have to tell you I feel less bloting and well just normal. I high suggest them. It is the same stuff as in my prenatal but a higer dose.

Dakota thanks for asking about the MIL. She took it a bit hard but I was nice about it. I did not want to be rude and I did tell her that when I have something to take a picture of that we can can one. But for now NO WAY!

Anyways I have a question for all of you more for the twins. I had my interview with my OB yesterday. It went well she is very nice and the hospital is very nice. Its a bit far about 30 mins from home but thats ok. She is highly recommended for high risk preg. And I guess twins are considered high risk??? Anyways the only I di dnot like was she will not do a vaginal birth for twins PERIOD. I dont even get to try. So I am not sure if I want to stay with her or go to a dr. that will give me the choice. I am thinking of asking the Double Trouble group what their experiences were. Id love to here form you about your thought.

Stay well and healthy.

Tara- How wonderfull!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is the best feeling in the world isnt it!?!?!?! When do you go back for another u/s?

Genn- Oh, I hate to hear that about your OB. Mine is the opp, although I have not spoken with her, not for 2 more weeks, btu I know that my OB's office does not like to do c-sections, only in emergency situations. I only knwo two people who had twins and both did vaginally without a problem. if you feel like you would really want to give vaginal a try, I would ask around about another Dr and maybe just check it out. I've heard of people interviewing up to 5 OB's!!! So dont feel like your being picky if you choose to do so, its your right and there is alot at steak.

My 2nd u/s went great!!! Baby A has fallen behind a few days, but they have ashured me that it is normal (what do you think???) and the heartrate is 146 BPM. Baby B is now bigger than A and was doing flips!!! Its BPM was 158. I actually got to hear the heartbeats!!! It was awesome!!!! I dont go back for 2 weeks then that will be my last visit. I start weining off PIO and start suppies in a few days.

I am going to call my nurse tomorrow, even tho they said it was ok, but if I look at last week's u/s of baby A and this weeks u/s the sac is smaller this week. Granted the baby almost doubled in size, but baby B's sac also doubled in size. Does that sound not normal to you?? I am really starting to be bothered by this. I am not going to be able to stay sane the next 7 months. Aaahhhhh!!!

Hope all is well with everyone!

Hi Ladies - I'm actually due the first week of March, but I cycled with a few of you on the Feb board and would like to join if you don't mind. I had my first u/s this morning, at 6 weeks 3 days, and got to hear one perfect heartbeat of 117!! Our 2nd u/s is scheduled for 8 weeks, so we go in on 7/28 (day fell on weekend, so pushed to Monday). DH and I will once again be on pins and needles, as we have been this entire process :)

Tara - Sorry about your DH's grandmother. I hope the family is hanging in there as best as possible. No matter how old a person may be, the loss always seems to be just as difficult. Congrats on getting to see your little bean. I'm sure you were excited!

Today, I had my first OB appt, however, it was a waste of time. Apparently, I was inadvertently given the wrong kind of appt. The appt I was scheduled for are for those women who have not had an official pregnancy test. Since, I already had mine, I should've been scheduled for an OB intake appt, where they sit down and go over everything under the sun regarding my pregnancy and medical background. So, I've been rescheduled for Aug 11th. In the meantime, my OB wants me to have another ultrasound done just to make sure everything is alright from the bleeding I had several weeks ago. That's scheduled for Jul 31st. I'll get the 'real' ultrasound this time.....no more vaginal. I'm looking forward to seeing my little bean again.....especially now that it's a fetus and looks more human. I just want to know that everything is alright.
Me - 38, DH - 40 (male factor)
1st IVF - 1/08 - BFN
2nd IVF - 3/08 - BFN
3rd IVF -5/08- BFP - THANK YOU GOD!!!

Welcome Angram

Imblessed- Sorry to hear about your OB apt. I am glad you shared that with us because when I called to make my apt today I made sure I told them what was going on.

So I called to make an OB apt and their systems were down, but they talked with me a few mins and said that they like to do their u/s between 9-10 weeks and once I go to them for my first apt I cant go back to the RE's office. So I called the RE's office back about the conflict and now instead of my last u/s being week 9 1/2, its going to be 8 1/2 (next week), then I will have my first ob u/s somewhere between 9-10 weeks (the following week). This makes me much happier that I can get through most of the first tri with weekly u/s, especially considering I am abnormally, freakishly a panicy person.

I did my first suppies this morning. Yuk!! I spotted, just a dot and it (the walls) feels a little irritated. Plus I am a little sore from the u/s yesterday, she wasnt the most gentle tech I've had.

I am going to the library tonight after work to pick up the twin pregnany and what to expect when expecting book. Of course and whatever else I can get my hands on. The RE told me no more internet reading because its scaring the shit out of me, I need to stop!!!

Hope all is well with everyone!!!!

Dakota - I've never used the same suppositories as you, since I'm on the Crinone gel, but I'm guessing it has the same symptoms. I haven't had the major "leakage" other woman are talking about, but I definitely get irritated down there. It's especially noticeable during IC with DH. The biggest issue though is being bloated, but only 5 more weeks of it and I'm done :) I'm so jealous you get to have u/s every week. I had one at 6.5, another at 8 and then I think my last one at 12. Because I'm in the progesterone study, my RE doesn't transition me to OB until 12 weeks. I'm wondering though if I should call OB and start discussions (i.e u/s's :)) before the 12 week mark?

Angram- thanks for the info! I am sure once you graduate to your OB they will want to do their own u/s? Maybe week 14? If you have your last RE u/s at week 12 you might get to learn the sex by then!!! That would be great!! (Of course if that is what you and DH are choosing to do). I've heard from alot that at a 12 week scan they get a peek a boo.
At least 1.5 weeks in between u/s are not too bad. I dotn know what we are going to do when we get the 18 week scan, most dont get anymore!!! Thats going to be nerve wrecking, but I've heard you have so much movement by then that you dont feel that need to look and make sure that everything is ok.

The RE and I were talking yesterday about how crazy I am about being worried and he said it is just now starting, wait until they are born it gets worse!! I have no doubt about that. I'm already starting to get grey hair and I am only 33!!!
