Girls, I will be away till Friday. Feeling slightly better. Won't be able to check in at all. I am not leaving you!!! Carolyn, good luck tonite. (PS... I am tilted too! And DH has problem sperm!) But don't worry, it will work for us!

Hello.. Chris hope you have a good break .. a change of scene may be what you need to help you recuperate quicker!

been to see RE - they changed appointment to 5pm! .. made it through the door before the tears started

.. long and short of it is on highest dose of gonal F still only produced 5 eggs, and due to age they are old eggs

.. so he feels we would be wasting our money trying agian with my eggs as for my age range success rate with own eggs is about 20%.. he has suggested we go and think about donor eggs.. upshot is though they do not do it at that clinic so would need to go somewhere else - RE said he would send off letters to all other clinics and has contacts in Marbella and Barcelona if wanted to go abroad, but has also got contacts in Northampton, Oxford, Cambridge and London.

DH and I are both totally open to DE route but RE said we need to discuss and get back to him .. he also saw how stresed out I was and was shocked as he said I am normally so strong - he signed me off work for another 2 weeks .. I love him

So off to do my research and trawl the net for DE clinics and advice and books etc .. he said no rush with DE though and age as only issue is age of egg donor and not recipient - so thats where we are now

Feel starngely relieved that there is still a way forward and said average success with donor egg is about 48% - could not find out about costs though as he does not reallyknow

Helloo .. please can I have an overnight pass- off for some Reikki this morning .. then to Gym then to see DH and stay overnight .. he might let me log on his laptop if lucky

Hello hello helloooooo

So very sorry I haven't been here. Feels like ages. For some reason, my computer refused to pick uo the wireless broadband connection and I couldn't get online at all. Just had it fixed.

The positive side - I've done loads of work.
The downside - I missed you

I just can't believe that theres hardly been any activity here this week. Where on earth is everyone??? Wasn't Angie going to keep us company this week? Becky did say she's on her week off and she asked in advance too. Grrrr……….

we need to take some disciplinary action with Ms ICSI girl - what do you say????

Carolyn, read about your follow up with RE. He sounds wonderful, and you must have been in a right state for him to have signed you off work for another 2 weeks. Make the most of it. This IVF process can really drain the life out of us, can't it? Sounds like you are ok with the donor egg idea. Any more thoughts on that? Let us know how your counselling session goes.

Miracle, since when was work more important than us?????

OMG, you're not gonna beleive what just happened. As I was reading your last post, I remembered something I had to let my colleague know. And instead of calling her name, I called her wishfull

I managed to mutter something along the lines of wishful thinking - that I was out and about on this lovely day than stuck indoors looking at the stupid screen. Poor girl must have thought that I've totally lost it. Don't think I made any sense AT ALL - even to myself let alone someone else. As I am chatting to you, I bet she is e-mailing someone else to tell her that she works with a loony.

I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants!!!!! I bet my coworkers are thinking they work with a looney toon as well!!!!! SO FUNNY!!!!!!!

I am so stinking HOT!!!! I am working in a warehouse with NO AC!! It is sweltering!!!

Carolyn I think it is awesome that you and DH are totally open to DE's!!! I would so do it if I had to. Here in the states though, it cost WAY TOO MUCH money!! I couldnt afford it.

Oooooooooooooo im almost too scared to log on lol .... Please dont hurt me! I know u always think i come up with some crap excuses, as i really dont have any good ones lol, just been at home with Brian, an then there was all the washing after Tasha came home from Oxegen, an then there was some DIY to be getting on with an then there was .......... hang on!

I'm back but bet you have all gone away again!!

Spent most of hour with counsellor talking about egg donors and my feelings on them - it was really useful and helpfull -also spoke to coordinator of Egg donors and got some info on waits and costs .. it may be 12 months wait

- have to amke an appointment for initia consultation - she said get yourself on as manay lists as you can

Going back to counsellor next week and taking DH - condition of being accepted on ED wait list is you have both seen counsellor.

Not much else to report - got fitness

assessment at gym tom and then MIL coming down

.. no she is ok in small doses - then off camping so the rain will soon be on its way!!

Angel - laughed at you calling someone wishfull - we are all mad - got to be to deal with IF otherwise we would all crack under pressure!
