Hi! Sorry I've been MIA for a few days but I'm sure you'll agree I have the best excuse - Baby decided to make an early entrance into the world and arrived at 12.20pm on Thursday (17th) :D

Things didn't exactly go to plan. I spent almost 36 hours in labour then finally ended up with a c-section but I now have a beautiful baby boy called Oliver Benjamin. He weighed in at 2.64kg (5lb 13.5oz) and is perfect.

Congratulations Su, glad you and baby are both well. Enjoy every minute of it.

Carolyn, he there... just want to let you know that I too am considering DE. I've looked into it a little. If you have not already done it... find the egg-heads thread and go to the beginning and read up, there's a lot of good info there. (Did you do that already?) Hope you are well.

Hi everyone, I got back from my little vacation a couple of days ago but I've been crazy busy and have not had time to log on. I missed you girls. I am pretty much fully revovered from the laparascopic surgery. It took a while. Thanks for listening to me ***** about it. Now I am off to the stores with my parents. DH's birthday today. What to get him????? That does not cost a bundle????

I'll catch up more later.

Hi Mir,

How are you? I am getting ready to go for a little walk on the beach. It's not very nice out, but nice enough for a walk. I'll be back later to check in. Hope you are well.

Hi Chriss!!!! YAY!! Someone is here to play with me...all of the other girls have abandoned me!! Can you believe that??

Well, I am ok, but recentley found out my Grandmother has about 6 months to live. She is loaded with cancer and she doesnt want Chemo or radiation. She is so frail anyway it would just make her so sick!!! Let me tell you, getting that phone call from my Dad was a eye opener. Makes you get your priorities in order, ya know? I am sad, but at the same time I just want to enjoy her. I dont want to be sad for the next 6 months. You know what i mean??

Well I hope you have a nice walk!! You live close to NYC?? That is my Favorite city!!! I LOVE NYC!!! In 2001 my bestfriend and I went there for new years eve! We had a blast!!!

OK people....where are you all??????????

Mir,
Sorry to hear about your gram. Yes, do try to spend as much time with her while you can. It will mean so much to her too. Were you very close? I lost my grams quite a while ago, and it was a difficult time. We were very close. Grandmas are special people.

I do not live very close to Manhattan at all. I'm all the way on the other end of Long Island. It's about 2 hours to the city. I do try to get in there when I can, it is fun. My new RE is there, so that's a hike for me when I am doing all the daily monitoring stuff. BUt, it's worth it to get to him.

I just went over to the beach to try to go for a walk, but it was very windy and a bit drizzly, so I did not do it. I'm back home... eating of all things!

Gotta get motivated to go doen to the basement. DH and I are doing a big clean-up. Out with the old so we can have room for the new. :)

What are you up to? Are you at work?

Miracle, so sorry to hear about your grams, its difficult to accept such news, but you have a wonderful outlook. The cancer isn't in your hands, but how she lives the last few months of her life is. So you spend as much time as you can with her. Is she quite far from you?

Chriss - have you recovered now?? I wish I lived near the beach. How's the clear up going? I've promised myself I'll do it before my next tmt.

Carolyn, how is you? Still off work? Hows the counselling going. Enjoy your time with your parents.

As for me, I did not check in regularly cause I thot you all abandoned me for good. And I was getting lonely :(

Hey girlies -

I've been trying to catch up a bit... you guys haven't been as active lately. I hope it's the lovely summers you have planned that is keeping you away from the puters.

Mir - So sorry to hear about your Gramma... I know I am still having a hard time dealing with the loss of mine. I think you have the best outlook and are doing the right thing by spending as much time with her as you can. Truly, we never know how much time we have, as we aren't promised tomorrow. Though it is amazng what a little perspective can do in our lives. Enjoy every minute while she's here - and - if you can - one thing I have that I TREASURE, is that last year, while she was recovering from gallbladder surgery, I video taped my Sassy telling me stories about when she was young and when she and my grandfather built their house together. Priceless. I am still VERY sad when I think that my little one will not be able to meet her here on this earth and know the joy that she was... but I can at least show him (yup, another boy) the tapes one day and he will have that. And, I know that my other little one whom I lost too early is now with her and she will be with him until I can join them both one day. My prayers are with you, sweetie. Keep your chin up and take in every blessing.

Thanks for the HI, Angel!! :) It's easy to overlook a new post when you get followed by good news! ;) Hope you are doing well. What's new on the horizon???

Chriss - How's the new RE going? Two hours is such a long way to travel to get to a dr's appt! I remember you traveling before, but I didn't realize the time... But if he's worth it, he's worth it! ;)

How's Queen Becks, Carolyn and Angie??? Miss you guys.

Well, I gotta run, gotta get to work. I'm not used to being up and about so early every day (I usually don't go to work until 11-12- due to the schedule of my guys - but then most peeps who buy drugs don't get up too early in the MAUNIN') But now that I'm covering two jobs while my co-worker/friend is on maternity leave, I have to go in earlier - but still leave at the same time. :? - Oh well, I'm making up time & 1/2 in leave for when i'm gonna need it most. And the good news is that I feel good (though just a little tired) so I feel like I should do what i can while I can!

Sending you all hugs and all the baby dust I can find (well, most of it, anyway... sending some to my sisters too ;) )

LOVE YA!
Hope

Thank you girls for your nice comments about my Grandmother!!! She is in NY so we are going up soon to visit!! It stinks she is so far...

Hey Miracle,

Its not me you should be worried about - its Angie and Becky - they have gone underground  And I miss them

When will you go to NY to see your grams? I'm sure she'll feel much better after seeing your smiley self and lots of hugs :D

Ok, so I need to rant. I'm just feeling so stressed out by everyone in my life at the moment. Work is ultra busy and the clients we are working for expect us to mother them. All my family are very busy and I can't do much to help them as I have enough on my plate. Another relative expects me to be there for her at a time when I have no time for myself (while this person is retired!!!). I just feel like I'm getting grief whichever way I turn. And because I can't cope it makes me want to just throw everything to one side and disappear somewhere without telling anyone. DH is so busy at work that we can't go away for a short break either.
