Thanks everyone for the well wished. I'm gradually feeling better today. I stayed on the couch all day yesterday and went to be at 9am last night.
I had some bleeding again last night. I called the nurse this morning to ask what am I to except from baby B and she said some dont get anything, no cramps, no bleeding no anything. Others bleed and have cramps. She wasnt much help. She said now its just a waiting game and bacially "I'll see ya tomorrow". I didnt quite like her attitude, but she is right. I am jsut really worried about the other baby now that I am still cramping and bleeding on and off. But, its not really heaving and it doesnt last.

My boss is not happy with me that I rushed out of work yesterday crying my eyes out and I wont tell her what happened or why I had to leave. She'll have to deal with it!!

Greetings everyone - I know I have been MIA for some time...there's a lot to catch up on!

Dakota - Oh my goodness, Dakota. I am so saddened by your news about Baby B. I'm thinking of you and your DH and praying for strength for you both. Oh my. That is just heartbreaking...glad to hear Baby A is still going strong, though. Try to keep up the PMA, lady...You are still on your way. Many hugs to you...are you taking time off work at all? Anything specific going to happen at your appointment on Friday? Was your DH with you when you went it? Oh, Dakota. :( (((HUGS)))

Genn - I don't know that I feel terribly worried, per se, but I can definitely relate to your concern. Every time I go to the bathroom, I am also checking for blood or spotting...I'm always relieved that there's been none. I think I will feel better tomorrow after I FINALLY go in for my first U/S...but maybe it will just make me even more paranoid??? Not sure...but we'll see!

Neffi - Enjoy your vacation! Headed anywhere special? Have fun!

Rubtylee - So glad to hear everything's going well with you! Hope the nausea, m/s and constipation get better. I'm really curious about that Dr Luke book that you and Dakota have been talking about. I need to try to check it out...When is your first OB appt? Do you have a back-up plan in case you don't hit it off with her? I'm so nervous about my OB situation, since I have only seen an OB/GYN once since I moved to WI. I've been putting off doing the research, but I think after my first U/S tomorrow, I will start feeling the urgency!

Tarabel - I am so hungry but food seems totally blah. I've been eating a lot at lunch (SO HUNGRY!), but not much interest in dinner most days. I'm just so tired by the time ! get home from work, I would rather go to bed than eat dinner. I'm trying to eat lots of fruit and veggies (which I do anyways, but sometimes I can be a little streaky on junk food!) and overall have been feeling pretty good. When is your trip? Hope your flights are ok!

Angram - Where are you, girl? Thinking of you and hoping all is well!

As for me - first U/S tomorrow! Finally! I found out that I will go in for three U/S with my RE (all two weeks apart) before I am released to the OB. It's a bummer I can't just stay with my RE and nurses at the clinic...they are so kind and caring. Actually, I was all stressed yesterday cause my DH was out of town for the night, and I was worried about my PIO shot. DH tried to make arrangements for me to go to a walk-in clinic to get the shot done, but was running into roadblocks. He called the clinic for advice, and one of my nurses (my favorite nurse) said she would just come to my house and give me the shot. I was a little embarrassed cause I know so many of you did your own PIOs, but she was so kind and gracious about it. She said she's been bummed for the last couple of weeks cause she's off tomorrow when I go in for my U/S. She told me she's planning to call in to find out how it goes.

Anyway - wish me luck tomorrow! DH and I are leaving shortly after the U/S to camp for the weekend (his birthday, too!)...but I will certainly get on the board and post an update before I head out of town.

Almost to Friday, ladies...hang in there and have a great weekend!

Dakota - I am so sorry for your loss and I'm incredibly heartbroken over your news. I think your DH is still out of town, so I pray you're doing ok and will have him by your side soon. My thoughts are with you and DH, but be strong for little baby A, the HB sounds wonderful and strong. BTW, F*ck your boss, your baby and your wellness are way more important! Sorry if I offend anyone with the language, but that really pisses me off! I hope my sweet little bundle doesn't come out with it's Momma's mouth, it's quite bad some days :) You take good care of yourself.

AdsGirl - I've been so sick this week with all day m/s, that by the time I get home from work I just want to lay on the couch and sleep. I'm excited to hear about your first u/s tomorrow, my goodness it seems like it's been a long time! I'm guessing it's the same for you :) Don't ever feel embarrassed that you cannot give yourself a PIO shot, I would never even try it! I know how much I even hate getting shots, so there's no way in hell I'd ever try to do my own. I'd find a neighbor before I'd try that :) That's so very nice of your nurse, she sounds wonderful. My nurse was also gone for our first u/s, so she asked me to call her cell on her vacation and let her know how things went. They seem to have so much more compassion than a regular OB, I'm kinda dreading moving over at 12 weeks.

Neffi - Congrats on ending the PIO shots and moving over to your OB, that's great news!! Have a great vacation.

Rubylee - Glad the m/s is lightening up for you, it's been pretty bad for me as well and I'll be thankful when it's gone. I seem to have all day m/s, which I take as a good sign, but it is getting a bit old and only after 2 weeks :) I'm not feeling quite as bad today, although I seem to have some sort of stomach bug or it's a preggo symptom, but it's been not so pleasant the past couple of days. Great news your last RE appt is on Monday, but only because that means you're doing great and they'll release you.

Gennessa - I think we will all have days of total worry, no matter what we do to try and relax. I'd have an u/s every day if my RE would allow it :) We have our 8 week u/s next Monday and then are not scheduled again until 12 weeks, but DH and I have agreed that we can't wait that long. We'll give them 2 more weeks, but we are going to demand another at 10 weeks, in order to save some sanity. Good luck today and let us know how it goes.

Tarabeltwo - I haven't had any ligament pain yet, is it supposed to start at a certain week?

Hope everyone else is having a great day!!

Adsgirl- Friday I'm just havign an u/s to check to make sure Baby A is still ok and to see what is going on with baby B. From my understanding I will be getting lots of u/s now.
I took off yesterday and took the pooches to the kennel so I could just lay and try to stay calm and relaxed, but I didnt take today off work, btu to be honest I am just sitting at my desk not really working, but I really could use a nap right now.
DH is still out of town, so I am alone. It would take him 3 days to get home so I told him not to bother. I didnt want him traveling that distance upset and having something happen to him.
I am excited for you tomorrow. I cant believe how long its been since you got your BFP before you get your first u/s. Just think of all the fun things you'll see!!

Angram- I'm with ya girl, I drop the F bombs like crazy!!! And yes, that is how I feel about the boss thing. Can you believe she actually called and old co-worker who does not work here anymore, we are very good friends, but she called her to see if she knew what was going on!!! That ticked me off!!!
You're right DH is still gone so I am alone, but I like to have my meltdowns by myself anyhow. I dont like to cry in front of people, even DH. The whole time at the RE's yesterday I had tears streaming down like crazy, but I was so controlling myself.
8 weeks is a good u/s you can see arms and legs. You'll be amazed at how big its grown since you saw it last.

Tara- I got that around week 6. If I sat down too long and would stand up it would get me. I think everyone is different at when they start to feel it.

Hope all is well.

I am going insane for tomorrow's apt. I am so glad its first thing in the morning!!!!

Hello everyone - Well I had my ten week u/s today and I graduated from the RE. They were so nice they gave us two little gifts for the babies (a bib, little spoon, and blanket). My Dh thought we needed to get the office a little something but I said no but now I feel like we should.

They have been the most wonderful Dr.'s office I have ever been to. I have one last blood test next friday to check my levels and then I am off the supp's of endometrin YEAH!!! And I stop the baby asprin at 12 wks.

Today was great we actully saw little people inside. To thikn just two weeks ago they were still little blobs and now little people. We got to see Baby B really well a full front view of hands and legs (no clue of the sex yet:cry: ) Baby A was moving to much to really see anything. It was hard to even zoom in on the heart beat for baby A but they finally got it but the picture is not that great. OH well. I guess it made it feel real this time now that I see something not just hav eto sit there and beleive the Dr.

Anyways now I have to make my appt with the OB. The 1st one is just paperwork and medical stuff then two weeks later we get the really appt with an u/s. I have been very lucky I know many of you have had very few u/s. We have had one every two weeks since day one. It will be hard to go now only once a month.

Angram - I hope you feel better and that its passes soon so you can finally eat.
Adsgirl - I cant wait to hear about you appt. tomorrow GOOD LUCK
Neffi - Have a great vacation... Can I come.. HEHEH

Dakota, Like Sameera I keep up on this board because you ladies have such a great dialogue. I am so terribly sorry for yoru loss. I am sure the minutes seem like hours until you get to your next appt tomorrow morning. It is so disappointing the nurse was not more kind and forthcoming with information. Its like they have no clue that our lives are hinged on our babies and pregnancies! With my first preg I had twins (but did not know it) and I lost one around the same time and went on to have a perfectly healthy baby boy. So hang in there and keep the faith!

Ps write down all of the questions you have for the dr tomorrow and do not feel bad about taking up as much time as you need!!

Dakota - I am SO sorry for your loss. I am sure everything will be all right with baby A.
My friend recently got pregnant with twins and everything was ok till she went for U/S on week 13 and they told her that one of her babies stopped developing at week 11. She did not have any cramps or bleeding. But her other baby is fine, they found out the sex last week, so I am sure your baby A will be fine too. I am not sure why those things happen, and we don't like when they happen, but focus on baby A now, she/he needs a strong mama!
I actually got terrified with your story, I didnt sleep well last night, although I feel like I have lived in a coma for the past month or so.
I have a u/s today with some test for down syndrome. I am 11w4d today. I am very nervous.
I have been MIA lately since I am either at work, at school, or asleep.

Dakota - That is so out of line that your boss called your friend to find out what was going on. Just what you need right now, another thing to worry about. Please let us know as soon as you can after your apt. tomorrow. I'll be waiting, impatiently.

AdsGirl - Yes, check out that book. I really like it. I have been forcing in more protein because of it and I think it has helped the nausea. She has a couple of theories on how to curb the m/s enough to get what you need in. One is to eat a salty/sweet combo like potato chips and lemonade. Totally doesn't sound good but she says the two help calm down your stomach acids, then you can get some protein and multi grain stuff in their which both keep your stomach busy for a longer period of time then saltines or something similar. My first OB apt is next Thursday. I am a little nervous about it too. I have insurance but not maternity coverage. Long story, but because of pre-existing stuff we couldn't get an affordable coverage with maternity so I applied to a Cal State program for middle income families without maternity. Because it is state run my pick of dr.s is very slim. I had to research them all like crazy so hopefully I made the right choice. Do you have some girlfriends to ask? A friend of mine sent out an email to all her friends asking for recommended OB's and got a lot of response. Try that. It is always good to talk to someone who sees them.

Angram - sorry you have been feeling so nasty. I know, it does get so, very old. I hate complaining because of how much I want this and how much we went through to get this, but dang if having puke in my throat all day isn't that much fun! Knock on wood it is lighter. Try what I wrote to adsgirl above. I think the protein has helped if you can get it down. And I think you should get another u/s at 10 weeks. A month is just way too long to wait.

Gen - Congrats on graduating! I feel the same way about my RE office. I will miss them a ton. Sounds like your U/S went great. I loved seeing them move around. I seriously want to get a video next time so I can keep watching.

I think they should do a study on how bad my constipation is. I am up to 10 prunes in the am with hot tea, at least one spinach salad a day, only whole grains, fish oil, 6 dried apricots and 3 colate at night and still it's like every 72 hours. I have stopped all pasta and bagels (which make my tummy feel so much better) and eased up on cheese. Sorry if that is TMI, but what the hell? I am going to have to talk to my Dr. about it, again. I am worried hemorrhoids are gonna be knocking on my door in no time.

Hi all,

I am so excited to find this message board. I have never joined a board before (and actually tried to avoid them when going through the process because some of the messages scared me).

I have been trying to read all of the messages - but there are many - so it may take me a while to catch up!

I am due on Feb 3rd according to my IVF dr and Feb 4th according to my OBGYN. I graduated from my IVF dr a few days ago on Tuesday at 12 weeks 2 days.

This is my 3rd round of IVF. I am 37 and will be 38 in September. I got pregnant each time. Miscarried 1st time before 6wk ultrasound. Miscarried 2nd time at week 7. This time I lost weight, changed my diet, increased the IVF drugs, went to an acupuncturist, and used heparin and one or all of those has seemed to help.

I freaked out when the IVF dr told me to stop the lovunox (allergic reaction to heparin) and requested that my OB check my blood for clotting factors. One high level so OB has referred me to a hemotologist and an high risk OB and kept me on the lovunox :( (which is a bummer b/c I was happy to be done with the shots.

I have been off of the progesterone for 9 days and no one has tested my progesterone levels since I went off of the shot. But, now I am starting to freak out. I know the placenta is creating progesterone now but I am scared. I feel like I am always scared - if it is not one thing it is something else. I want to just be happy and enjoy my pregnancy. . . any advice?

legalndn,

Welcome and yes, you can get your progesterone level checked - just ask your regular ob. I kept suggesting my RE's nurse and my ob based on my understanding/worries what I would like to do to know about my progress. They normally agree to reasonable requests such as having P4 level checked. Although you don't have to be freaked out, it's better to know than just worry.

Based on my readings, P4 level varies and somethings drop quite a bit after stopping PIO. I had that scare the first pg (I stopped PIO at 11.4 weeks) and have the P4 checked two days after that, the level was 11, which was low but I was not instructed to resume the PIO. Instead, my ob suggested to have it checked one week later, then it increased to 19. After that, I stopped checking/worrying.

In this pg, I also have it checked 3 days after stopping the PIO, it came back 26.1 so I don't have to worry about it anymore.

The bottom line is: it's better to have it checked although we cannot do much about it, we can, at least not worry.

Good luck!

Hi all!! I am back and Baby A looks great!!! I am still on high alert because of the bleeding and cramping. There is no sign that it is coming from baby B, or where it is even coming from, so it makes him nervous. I go back on Wed for another scan. Baby B is down about 50% already, and I knew that this morning because pants that I couldnt even come close to zipping up on Monday I pulled right up and zipped with no problems. its crazy how fast my body is changing from loosing one baby. Its sad  On the other hand I was so excited to see baby A moving and his arms and legs would move. He was on his back and had his legs spread so you could see what little was left of his tail. I laughed and said it looked like a big penis (hehehe). Its HB was 174bpm and was over 20cm. It is almost 1 inch long!!! He looked like a little teddy bear!!

I've been ordered bed rest, but I came to work today ad I have my feet up and my phone turned off and a do not disturb sign on my office. So if this works and I dotn get bothered and I can just sit am work numbers all day I'll be fine, but if I start to get bothered I am going home.

Dr said that if the bleeding picks up I have to go in right away and if they are closed to go to the ER.

Please keep us in your prayers!!!!!!

Adsgril- cant wait to hear your u/s report!!!

Dakota - Glad to hear Baby B is looking good! Fingers and everything else crossed for you that the cramping and bleeding stops completely very soon!

Back from my u/s!!! We saw one little bean, growing right on target for 6w4d!! DH was able to see the fluttering of the HB, but I didn't see it. Regardless, I heard it, and it was the most surreal, crazy, beautiful, tear-jerking thing I've ever heard! Oh my Lord, I'm tearing up just thinking about it again...122 bpm. Our beautiful bean.
