Kids same age: We have the same problem. All of the kids in our neighborhood are between 8 & 14. It is awesome for my stepdaughter (who lives with us full tieme) b/c she has tons of friends. But there aren't any new babies. Plus, I am 37 (38 in Sept) and DH is 38 (39 in Oct) - so we already think we are going to be the "old" parents . . .I am constantly tyring to figure out . . . how old will I be when baby is 17 . . . how old will I be when baby is 25. I guess if it's not one thing it is another.

Dark Knight was good . . . I do love Christian Bale so it was a no brainer for me.

Has anyone else got the "bad taste mouth" going on. I looked it up and I guess some women during pregnancy get a bad taste in their mouth all day long from the surge of hormones or something. It is not fun.

Legal- I dont have that "taste" but I do have a problem with food taste. Meat and eggs just taste nasty to me right now. DH was on my case last night that I need steak or chicken (as I ate a grilled cheese for dinner) so this morning I stopped at BK and had an egg & cheese sandwhich.

All went well with the u/s. Baby was in there dancing like crazy. His little butt was just wiggling and his head was boggin all while his arms and legs were just a grovin. He was so cute I almost cried. His HB is 177bpm and he didnt grow much since SUnday, he is a day behind today (Sunday he was 2 days ahead), but I noticed right away that his legs and arms are longer and the tech said it was 2 different people and two different machines and he wasnt being very still today to be measured. So I am not going panic about it.
They can still see fluid build up in my uterus, but it seems to have moved away from the baby so the is a plus. He still wants to monitor me really close and today he is going to send a letter to my OB explaining what has happened and what is going on and he wants me to see her next week, but he still wants me to come in one last time next week. I dont get to stop my suppies on Sat, I have to stay on them until 12 weeks. Before I lost baby B my P4 was 90something and they rechecked it the day its heart stopped and it dropped to 50. RE said its still a great #, but it was a drastic drop and with everything that is going on he doesnt want any big chenges going on. He doesnt want to rock the boat.
I am still really scared for him, but I am starting to really get encouraged that everything is going to be ok and I am getting really excited!!!

Where is everyone?? I know that I have been posting alot, but I feel like I am posting to myself.

Jude, I am thinking about you today and cant wait to hear about your u/s!!!

Well we can't have you posting to yourself hun!

I'm so glad that your baby was dancing around in there and doing great! It must be awesome to see his arms and legs growing almost literally in front of your eyes!!!

So, went for the big U/S this morning, and IT'S TWINS!!!!!!!!!!
At least, we think it is!
There are three sacs, so it was definately triplets to begin with, but what the RE thought was the baby in sac C is measuring 1 week and 1 day behind, at 5 weeks 6 days, and the sac was really small, and it also didn't have a heartbeat. He said he didn't think it would be viable, and in fact called it an embryo instead of a baby.
The other two, have much bigger sac sizes, Baby A measures at 6 weeks 6 days, (one day behind), and had a lovely little fuzzy heartbeat of 130. Baby B measured at 6 weeks 4 days, (3 days behind) and it's little fuzzy beat was 126. He said these both looked fine, and from what he thought, it would be twins and not triplets.
I am so excited and happy !! I think it took a long time to sink in, as I really didn't cry at all in the U/S, or even feel like crying, it was a lot to take in that there were three, and now two as far as we know. On the way home from the clinic though, I cried for baby C. DH was so cute at the clinic - the nurse and RE were hugging me and saying congrats, and DH is looking so proud and he's like 'okay, my turn for the hugs, I did half the work after all'!!
So, the RE said that that was it at the clinic. I was like - what, we don't come for another scan or anything - he said no, that this is where they "cut the cord" so to speak. So, I have to set an appointment up with my OB. The nurses were all so lovely though, and I had to promise to come back and show them the big belly in 6 months or so!! It feels so weird to think that if all goes well, I don't have to go back to my RE.

Our official due date is March 19th. The RE said that because there were three to begin with, that the uterus has a memory - and will probably deliver earlier than it should for twins though. Has anyone else heard of this??

Well I think i'm off to look at the U/S pics and take a nap!

Jude- I knew it, I knew it!!!!!!! OMG!!! that is so great!!!! I am so happy for you. I just knew deep down that you had more than one in there and I was actually thinking 3. Sorry to hear about baby C, its sad. Keep your positive thoughts for the other two, they are going to need all your energy (and yes, they will suck every last bit of it up). I know that when you have twins your due date gets changed up 4 weeks, but I dont know anything about a vanishing and the uterus having a memory. I'd be interested in this info if anyone has it.
Well, your 7 weeks, be prepared my next week that your not going to be able to zip up your pants:) By week 10 your going to be wearing maternity clothes. How fun!!!! Congrats!!!

Anyone else breaking out? My back is getting these little pimples like you got when you were a teen and would sweat too much and I have a few on my chest. Not to mention a huge one on my cheek!!! I feel like I'm 15 again!!

CONGRATS JUDE!!!!   That is so great! I hope you are more settled with it and just loving the idea of having 2! I have never heard of the uterus having a memory. Maybe your OB will have more info on that. They sure cut the cord early with you. Mine kept me until 12 weeks! I wish I would have gone a bit earlier though because now I am worried that I am late for some of the testing. I am so happy for you guys!!

Don't know if I have much energy to post more today. I got violently ill last night. Had 3 rounds of crazy, miserable vomiting from about 12 - 4 am. I am still feeling pretty nasty and am leaving work in a couple hours. Called the RE and they said because there are no other symptoms they think it is probably just a touch of the flu or something. Geez, I am just not having good luck this week. I'll check in more tomorrow...

Hi everyone -

First let me start off with the personals -
Legal - I dont have the bad taste in my mouth but I notice that I have bad breath. Now it might just be me but I am sooo worried that others can smell it. :? So I keep mouth wash at my desk.. HAAHHA Oh and you were talking about kids ages thank goodness even though I am the last of my friends to get PG they are not to far ahead of me and many of them want more. So it should be ok not to much of an age difference.

Dakota - I know it seems that many do not post. I am on of them I read the thread everyday but at times I feel bad beacuse I have nothing to share. Everything is just moving along.

Jude TWINS!!!!! Congrats. I am so happy for you and the family. I am 11 and1/2 wks and its not that bad. I am still a little tired but its getting better but the clothes do not fit anymore. I am showing already!!!

Rubylee - I am so sorry you are sick it has been a bumpy road for you.... I wish I could give you some of my non sickness. I do hope yo visit your store soon I told my DH about it and he was really excited to take Sasha your four legged baby.

Well as for me I had my first OB appt. It went well they poked me all over and measured my belly and made me pee in a cup twice and took all of my blood. AHAHA they did give me a bunch of great reading stuff though and free samples. The bad news is I did not get a u/s only got to hear the heartbeats. 148 and 152. My next one is not until 8-25 and they said I would not find out the sexes until 20wks. I said no on that one and my DH agreed to talk to the DR about having an early appt with the perinatologist (sp?). My DH works with the OB so she owes him a faver.

Anyways I feel fine. I wish I could tell you something anything but I have nothing. I am tired and dont like meat right now but I do like hamburgers. Just not steak. Go figure. The only issue I am having is I am stressing over the dog and what we are going to do. She is big and hyper and we let her on the bed and she has a few bad habits that we need to break. I just worry that she will jump on the babies or be to ruff. She is good with my friends kids but they are a bit older although she does knock them down. My DH is driving me crazy over it and is trying to train her but he has no idea what he is doing. My mom is sure it will work out but I am stressed.

OK back to work for me. Talk to you all soon stay well and happy.

Hello everyone!! I have been out of touch for a while and wanted to get back in the game. I am 11 wks now and I am feeling so much better. I felt so bad the first 9 1/2 wks and all I could do was get out of bed and go to the bathroom and back to the bed because I was sooooo tired and felt bad. I can't begin to tell you how glad I am to be able to function again. I have had 3 bouts of bleeding and everything has turned out fine thank goodness!! I have loved reading everything you guys have posted and stayed up to date on things that have gone on. I wish everyone the best! Have a wonderful day!

Genn- I am glad went well with OB. I've heard alot say that after 12 weeks if you get an u/s they will tell you what they are, but they tell you its not with certainty. My OB apt is next week at 10.5 weeks and I was thinking about instead of having an u/s at 11 weeks skipping it until 12 weeks so maybe, just maybe we could see something.
I hear ya on the meat. DH is really buggin' about steak, but I just cant do it. I told him he could take me to Smokey Bones this weekend and I'll get pulled bbq pork, its better than nothing!! Although I can eat little burgers, like a cheeseburger from McDonalds, or jr's from BK or Wendy's, anything bigger that has a big beef taste, I cant do it. NOPE!

Ruby- I am so sorry hun you are that sick. I feel so bad for you. I hope you havent been eating jalapenos from mexico!

Welcome back Crogers!!! I am glad you are feeling well and all is going good.

Nothing new going on here. I am going to say this and knock on wood (knock, knock), I have not had any bleeding OR spotting since that little bit I had on Tues (or Monday), but I cant beleive I havent even had any spotting. I am thrilled!! I have been having s sharp pain in my butt cheek, but I think I read that it is the sciatic (msp?) nerve from the stretching. Also, my little one must be doing some growing this week because I have been having those stretching cramps taht feels like my hips are being ripped apart. Am I going to be one of those where my hip bones widen? Seems like it???

Hope all is well with everyone!

Angram, where R U?

Adsgirl, I hope camping was fabulous!!!

jude-that is such exciting news you are having twins!! Congratulations to you! We are definitely at a record on this board for having more twins!!

Dakota-I'm so glad to hear all is going well, and that you have stopped spotting! Yay!

crogers-I'm sorry you haven't been well, but it sounds like you are now on the mend. You are returing to yourself now in just a few short weeks!

Gennessa-I'm so happy to hear all is going according to plan for you!

Ruby-I'm sorry for your sickness. When I had a 24-48 hr bout of stomach issues and diarrhea, it was likely food, or just a quick flu bug. Please feel better soon and keep fluids down if you are able.

Well, yesterday we went for our 12 wk U/S, and boy did we get a show!! They said the baby just looked perfect and measured 12wks, 1 day which was 2 days ahead. The little one was either dancing, or boxing, or both. We first saw it just resting, and moving an arm or a leg, then all of a sudden it was flipping, putting its back to us, and moving like a little crazy person. If you guys go and your sonographer isn't able to get much movement, just cough once :) You'll notice they don't like that a whole lot!

I didn't cry this time at all, I was just really amazed. We have an 18 minute DVD of the whole thing with 2D & 3D U/S! It was fascinating. They measured EVERYTHING from the right and left arms & legs, to the bladder, to the veins/arteries actually showed the blood pumping, to the head, nasal bone, etc. They told me my placenta is attached to the back, and that I may be able to feel kicking earlier. I don't know what that means, but ok. What a treat this all was! DH was exhausted afterwards, and this was the first time we spoke to our whole family about it. None of them knew! We are still calling and emailing people as there are many, and we are really overjoyed that we have a healthy little person in there! 168 bpm! Grow kid, grow!

Still tired much of the time, and now I know why! Hopefully I may return to myself and not sleep in the middle of the day in the coming weeks. I am now the proud owner of a few pairs of maternity pants. DH could see yesterday I was a sausage, and we picked up shorts and crop pants. This is a wonderful journey I'm so glad to be on. We get to tell the rest of our friends now, and share our fortunate news with them.

Please take care all, and I'll continue to read/update as I can.
Our precious Liam was born 2/4/09!

ahhh.... i am much better ladies. That was nasty. I went to my first OB apt yesterday. The guy I saw isn't going to be my regular, thank god. He was so rough with those calipers or whatever they call that pap smear contraption. I finally said something and he said, sorry your service is tilted. Just muscle it in there why don't ya. i am actually sore from it. He did do another U/S, that is 2 in one week! They looked great. baby b is starting to straighten his spine a little so he measured a couple of days ahead this time. They were really quiet, sleeping I guess. He said we are just doing the quad marker for genetic testing. that is the blood draw. He said to assume it is going to come back positive, they expect it to at my age. Scary. Then we'll have an amnio.

ftg - have fun telling the family. That is such a great part of all this. Glad to hear the ob apt went well. I think I am going to go to one of those private 3D places to get what you had done. I would love to have a video like that, so cool.

Dakota - that is so fantastic that your spotting is stopping!! What a relief. I just know it is going to continue.

crogers - glad you are feeling better! Welcome back. Sorry about your scary bleeding episodes but so happy they didn't amount to anything.

Gennessa - I would love it if you guys came down. That would be great. I know what you mean about being nervous about the dogs. We have 3 and the youngest is not that well behaved either. I talked to one trainer who had an idea to carry a doll around closer to your due date so you can train then not to jump up and see what is in your arms. Tell your DH to watch, It's Me or The Dog and The Dog Whisperer. I like the first one the best. she mixes positive training with pack leader. Dog Whisperer gets a little rough sometimes. It works good with pits and breeds like that, but for training that last longer I think you have to put positive reinforcement in there. Good luck!

ftg - Congrats on hitting the 12 week mark, that is excellent! I bet it felt great to finally tell your family the wonderful news, this is something too hard to keep back :)

Dakota - I'm with ya on the meat, but I'm really trying to get something like a chicken salad sandwich in at lunch, if I can. I still haven't cooked anything and it's very difficult trying to figure out what to get, nothing sounds good at all. Glad to hear the bleeding/spotting has gone away, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you! I've also been breaking out on my chest, back and shoulders. Guess it's the hormones, but I'm still waiting around for the beautiful glowing skin! Between my ass getting larger and my body breaking out, I'm feeling incredibly sexy these days :)

crogers - Welcome back! I'm glad you're feeling much better, this process is a bit harder than I was ever told :)

Gennessa - I've read some place that people with animals get a babydoll and carry it around so that their animals get used to it. I'm not really sure how it all works, but there may be some info online for you to use. Good luck!

Rubylee - My goodness, I'm sorry to hear you're so sick. I hope it's not the flu and maybe just something you ate. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Jude - CONGRATULATIONS on your TWINS!!!! That is fabulous news! Wow, I can't believe you're already moving over to your OB, that is really fast. My due date is March 8th, so you're not that far behind me. I hope those 2 little one's decide to hang out with you a bit longer though, the longer the better. A friend of mine just delivered her twin boys and she made it to 38 weeks and 3 days.

Sorry I've been missing the past couple of days and Dakota has been posting to herself :) I've been so damn tired this week and by the time I get home from work I just crash on the couch. I got home last night at 7:30, ate a quick bite, fell asleep at 8, and woke up this morning at 8AM! My goodness I've needed the sleep. I'm also feeling a bit better today and not like I'm going to vomit all over the place. I met with my OB for the first time this past week, so they gave me a new prenatal to try out and it has B6 and B12 in it, which helps with nausea. I'll see my RE until 12 weeks, but he wanted me to get started with my OB as well. The nurse gave me all kinds of good magazines and such to read, so that was a nice treat. Other than that, absolutely nothing is going on. I think DH is getting to his breaking point, since I've given him absolutely NO attention in the past 3 weeks. I've been so sick and tired that all I can think about is keeping my food down and sleeping. I feel really bad, but there's nothing I can do about it. I'm hoping things start getting a little better and today is going good so far :) Well I'm off for a bit, but I promise to not stay away so long.

Hi Everyone

Dakota - I am so glad you are doing well. I have been thinking about you a a lot.

Jude - Congrats on your twins. I am so excited for you.

Everyone else sounds like they are doing great except for all the tiredness and sickness. Hope you feel better soon.

Well I have been out of town for a week and didn't have access to a computer. I have missed hearing how everyone is doing. I was in Fort Worth, Tx for the longest 5 days of my life. I was at a conference that really had nothing to do with my job and there was nothing to do anywhere near where we were. Not to mention they had a heat wave because of the hurricane so it was 106 degrees. So I slept a lot during those 5 days.

I have been feeling ok. I am tired a lot. I think I have mastered the art of taking a nap. I don't get sick a whole lot but I have times when I feel very nausous. My biggest problem has been the ligament pain. The other day it was so bad I started to get nervous.

I have my first OB appt next Thursday which I am really anxious for. My Re only does 1 ultrasound so I haven't had any checks for the 2 weeks. I am so jealous of all of you that get to have 1 every couple weeks.

I hope I didn't miss anyone but now that I am back I will try to stay on top of things more.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Tarabeltwo - Welcome back and sorry our state was so hot for you. I live in Austin and it's been over 100 now for something like 39 days, and it's not letting up. August/Sept are our hottest months, but the heat started in June this year, so it's been unbearable. I'm so lucky that I'm not yet big o' pregnant, but the heat still gets to you. That's great news you're not having a lot of m/s, but the ligament pain sounds a little scary. I've had just a couple of instances where I feel the stretching, but nothing like you so far. Keep up with the naps, that's the best part right now :)

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday so far!

Welcome back Tara!!! I am sorry to hear you were there when it was so hot, not to mention the hurricane. I am glad you are back!!! I feel you on the legiment pain. I've had that on and off, but I have been feeling it more the last couple of days, and you are right, its scary. The sharp pains in the privites that shoots up and into your cervix and sometimes I can feel it in my uterus. its scary!!! I think all of these aches and pains would be no big deal, we could deal with it as long as we knew 100% that everything was ok. I've been fighting back and forth about getting a doppler, but I've decided to go ahead and do it. I am going to order it this weekend and just rent it on a month to month basis. I think it was $25/mo for the cheap one.

Angram- No doubt!! I cant believe my ass!!! Yesterday DH said " I thought you were just suppose to get huge here (and pointed at my belly) and not so much here (an slapped my butt)" I said "kiss it buddy"!!!
I am going to change up my meal plan a little next week to see if I can get some more protein in. I am going to try egg salad sandwhich's and I have some filet mignon in the freezer that I have going to shred up and put on the flat grill with mushrooms, green peppers and onions and eat on a hoggie bun. That actually doesnt sound half bad!!!

Rubylee- I am so glad you are feeling better!!!

I hope everyone is having a Fab weekend!!

The spotting started again today  Not much, but I am so raw from the suppies I feel like I have fire coming out of my hooha. I had some horrible cramps last night and this morning, now I just have the normal cramps. Wed cant get here soon enough so I can check on my little one and make sure everything is ok.

I am now going to go rest my hooha in a bucket of ice water

hey ladies--

Dakota-- sorry to hear that your hooha isn't feeling so well. Hope the ice water works. Can't wait to hear from you wed to see how your little one is doing.

To all the ladies having twins(which is most of you)-- how are you feeling? are you all in maternity clothes now?

I also wanted to see how many people here plan on finding out the sex? Anyone have any names picked out?

As for me, my vacation comes to an end tomorrow. The last 10 days have been so relaxing. Thinking about going back to work makes me ill! I have been feeling good. I'm not as tired as I have been, and I'm not nauseous.....I just don't really have an appeitite. I am lucky, I know some of you have really been feeling horrible. I am anxiously looking forward to the end of my first trimester. I have an OB appt on Aug 18th. It seems soooooo far away.

Well I hope you all are having a wonderful weekend! Oh and to answer my own questions.....we are going to find out the sex. If it's a girl it will probably be Tessa Brooke (Tess) and boys name are a whole other story. DH hates everything! So I'll worry about that when it comes to it, cause I think it's a boy! Talk to you all soon!
