Genn- My stomach iched so bad again last night I was really thinking about getting a brillo pad out and going to town. I got a bag of freebies from Motherhood and one thing in there is lotion that is suppose to be just for that. Of course I forgot to put it on this morning!!

Tara- Thanks for the JCP idea. I did stop at their store while I was out, but I am only 5'3" and all of their pants are way too long and for some reason the small's are way too tight and the med are too big. I am sure after about 3-4 more months the meds will fit just fine. I will check out their website and see what I can find.
Sorry to hear you've not felt well. It will change soon, you will have lots of energy!!

Adsgirl- The drop dead tireness went away for me around 10w5d. It was like night and day!! I've been napping on the weekends between 1-3pm and this last weekend was the first time I didnt have to nap. I still got tired, but not the dire need for a nap and I find I have a little more energy. I still get a yucky tummy in the evening, but nothing choc milk wont fix
I have found that Old Navy, Gap & Ann Taylor carry actual sizes and Old Navy runs big by a whole size. I'll let you know when the others come in how they run. Everywhere else is xs(0-2), s(4-6), m(8-10), L(12-14), XL(16-18) this is for shirts and pants. I am not wearing the shirts yet, but am wearing baby doll style shirts, but the one I have on today is not so much "flowy" anymore.
I actually didnt take them anything (the RE's office). I thought about takign them bagels and cream cheese because I was going at 8am and they were always hungry, but the last apt I was running late and didnt.
Have fun on your vacation!!!!

Hope all is well with everyone else. Off to eat my PBJ, pretzles and carrots for lunch!!

Well I managed to finish work early today, so got to come home and put my feet up. DH and my stepkids are trying to scallop today on the west coast, but I think they are all rained out.

Crwj00 - I am so sorry to hear about your baby stopping growing. How hard to adjust to when you have to stay happy and positive for the other one. I am so glad that the other is growing well and waving though. Did you have any warning that something was wrong? I hope you feel less sick very soon.

I am def. not looking for maternity clothes yet - I have had the runs at least 4-5 times per day for 11 days straight now, and I am exhausted! Food is just not looking so good right now. I really think I have a bug or something, but the OB didn't seem bothered at all. Hmm. Maybe I'll wait till next Monday and if nothing is better, I'll go back in.

Ads - enjoy your vacation and your visitors.

Sonu - thanks!!! It's so nice to hear from you, how are you feeling? 10 weeks already is great!!

ftg - how cool that your belly is pushing out already! Does it feel like a hard bump then?

gen - I don't have the dandruff problem, but I have to say about 4 months ago I had some really nasty ruff, don't know why, and i got 'selsun blue' and it worked in literally one use. Best dandruff shampoo ever!

well,I'm going to go poop again, gees! and then take a nap x

Jude-Yes, between weeks 12-13 it definitely started to harden. When you press its not mushy, and bounces back immediately. Noticing my belly button begin to come out was totally by happenstance. It'll be a gas watching it come out now that I know it'll happen. :o

Adsgirl-Hang in there and you'll get your energy back. Its coming slowly for me, and not every day but I have noticed its different from before. I used to be able to COUNT on passing out every day, now not as much, nor as strong. Have a great vaca; they're made for sleeping, right??

For maternity clothes, some Old Navy's do carry maternity clothes you just have to call around. Target does have a fair selection here in the pacific northwest, however I know that can range from region to region over the country (I orginally hail from Target's capitol of Minneapolis!) I'm 5'4", and Target's small maternity jeans fit great. One pair of jean shorts I got from Kohl's I'll have to grow into in a month or two. Tarabel-thanks for the JCP idea too!

Neffi-Any news on your pup?

Thanks everyone for asking about my dog....she is doing well, you wouldn't even know she had soemthing done. I still haven't heard from the vet about the biopsy, so we'll see. The other one is fine now that her sister is at home.

I am also showing. I am a little overweight, so I had a little pouch under my belly button, but I am definitely more than a little roll. The girls at work take weekly pictures and my 12 week picture you can definitely tell. But without clothes, I just look fat, not pregnant!

Hope everyone is doing well. Oh Jude I would call the doctor again, I would worry about dehydration!

Hi Ladies

Thank you all for your support.

Dakota
I stopped bleeding at 7.5 weeks which apparently was before Baby B stopped growing. Neffi, I havent had any bleeding at all since then but that could be because I have so much HCG in me!!

Skin Dryness: My nurse recommended a product called Bio-oil. It was originally for scar treatment but now it is recomended for pregnant ladies as it softens skin and prevents stretch marks...I sound like an ad!!!!! Anyway, i have been using it and i have not get any dryness or itching.

Adsgirl
I have bought some maternity clothes - I woke up on Saturday and literally went through every item in my wardrobe before I could find something to fit!! I bought 3 pairs or trousers, a skirt and some long tops. They were mostly on sale so worked out a bargain. I am going to buy a couple more expensive shirts which I can use for big customer meetings but other than that I will probably just buy a few more things as time goes on.

Scan tomorrow for Nuchal translucency testing.

Take care!

Jude- Make sure you keep yourself hydrated with all the poopies going on.
Drink some gateraid or gets some pedilite, but drink up!!

Neffi- How fun that you are showing. I am glad that you are getting pictures taken to keep track of the growing belly.

ftg- I like Targets clothes and I think they have cute maternity clothes, but their pants, in general all fit me weird. They are too big in the hips. I've never been able to wear them, but I do like to buy their shirts.

cwjr- Will you get to see baby tomorrow for scan? Is that the one where they scan the neck?
Let us know how it goes and if baby was putting on a show for you.

I am not going to make it until next week for the scan. How do ya'll do it??? I am dying to see what little one is up to. TOday would be normal for another scan, but I have to wait 1w1d for another one. I am going to be going bonkers by next week. Any suggestions on how to remain calm and sane?
Some days I feel pregnant and some I dont. Like today I feel nothing and it freaks me out. I am a horribley paranoid person...can you tell

Dakota-I don't think you're nuts at all. I think you're going to be a mom, and instinct is telling you you want to know all that is going on is good. I think its a great idea you got the doppler. They're a fun little portable machine anyways. I think you've been through a lot, and if that's what gives you piece of mind, then what the hell! :)

I am waiting from week 8 to week 20 to for another u/s! Yes, it is agonizing, however in between I have 2 appts that my OB does use the doppler. I feel ok about that, all my growing signs are there, but we just want more pictures!!

ftg and Dakota

Is a doppler the machine that picks up the baby's heartbeat?

The scan I have today measures two things by ultrasound: thickness of a certain fold in the baby's neck and the presence of a nasal bone. Above average thickness and no nasal bone are indicators of downs syndrome. I had the same scan 8 years ago with my DS and it lowered the risk of downs from 1:1000 to 1:6000. I am now 38 so want some reassurance that all is ok.

Keep your fingers crossed for me!

cwrj- Yes, the doppler picks up the baby HB. I rented it online for $20 a month, this includes shipping to me and shipping back to them. I think I'll keep it for 2 months and send back.

$40 is worth the reassurance to me. As long as I can hear the HB when it shows up and dont start freaking out.

Hi

I just got back from my scan.

All is looking good!

The risk of downs syndrome in a 38 year old is normally 1:170. After the scan they said the risk is now 1:914. HB was 164bpm.

I feel so relieved! The little guy was jumping and kicking so much then at the end he/she had his/her hand on her forehead. The doc looked at me and said you are both doing the same thing!

I finally feel ready to enjoy this pregnancy! If only the puking would stop

cwrj-congrats on the u/s!! Isn't that an awesome feeling to see the little one so active? Its so hard to believe these little people are growing up inside of us. I can't wait for the day we can all confirm "hey, I felt it kick!" You'll know that all of the sickness, etc has all been worth it!
