Goooood morning ladies!
How are you guys doing???
Carolyn,
Thanks for the baby dust, I'll need it!!

As for the "almost" 2ww, well.. I think the nurse made a little mistake. It's funny; last FET, she scheduled me one day too late, and now one day too soon I think!

At my clinic, you're tested 16 days after ER. With FET, ER is calculated according to how old the embies were when they were frozen, and when they were thawed. My frosties were 3 days old when they were thawed on Wednesday, so "ER" day would be Monday the 11th. So 16 days later would technically be the 27th, but I'll be tested on the 26th. Not complaining!!! LOL I won't POAS. To make a long story short, I do understand the women who want to know ASAP and enjoy the little line getting darker; I enjoy rejoicing with them when they do, and I find it tempting too. But it's not working for me. I've worked hard to deal with the loss of control over all this, and to reach a state of mind in which I'm just making a leap of faith with little expectations one way or the other, just trusting that what's happening is for the best. POAS is an attempt at getting some control back, and so it's against the attitude I've worked so hard to achieve.
OOooooh BBQ!!! What's on the menu? Will it be at your place? Exciting! I hope you'll have nice weather!
Angel,
Thank you so much for your nice words! I don't know if lavender cookies have a calming effect or not. I first made the recipe in June, and it was soooo divine!!! I had never tried flower-flavored cookies before. This time I added a touch of rose water to the mix, too. I've read a violet-flavored cookies recipe somewhere, too... If you like cooking, I could send you the recipe!
Welshbugger,
CONGRATULATIONS for your daughter!!! But I agree with Mir, I'm sure it will be a bit sad to see her leave the house!!! *HUGS* How is DH doing?
Miracle,
Nice to hear from you dearest!!!The weekend is here!!! Yay!!!! I hope you'll have fun spending time away from the inventory!!!!
PS I Love You was a cute movie!!! I liked the twist at the end; finally, something unexpected! The concept was very cute, and I think it was a light and good portrayal of the grieving process. 27 dresses was okay, much more stereotypes in this one. And come on, OF COURSE everyone in the UK saw PS I Love You... Gerry Butler!! Yum yum!!!
Can't wait to see Bottle Shock and Nobel Son, though... some of the last movies Alan Rickman played in. Bottle shock will be released tonight! Yaaaay! Which means we'll go see it during our holidays!
Thanks for your kind words about my embies!

Yeah, it's weird, isn't it? sometimes, you forget that your embies are in there... and sometimes, you think about what's happening, knowing that you're sailing through the implantation days... hehehehe really wish I could open a liiiitle window and see what's going on in there!

I'm not off, but let's face it, I'm a shrink!

Wich means my work is not very physical. So I took yesterday off, and today I'm working. It will be strange to be off for most of my 2ww, never happened before! But our holidays just happened to be at the same time. Given that work is SO quiet during the summer months, I really don't mind. Because when I don't have patients, I usually spend time surfing the internet, and thinking about the embies too much! At home, at least, I'll have tons of other things to think of. And if my DH FINALLY agrees to make the leap and adopt our second dog during our time off instead of in two months, I'll have a new furbaby to play with!
I've got everything planned for our banquet on Sunday. Ooooh, exciting! We'll use my great-great-grand-mother's china; the real one, see-through cobalt blue with hand-painted flowers and gold decorations. My DH is reaaaally not sure about this, because he would prefer we expose them in a cabinet or something. But I have no less than 6 boxes of china, the whole set!!! It would be a shame if no one ever ate in those plates again! I have a white tablecloth, it will be lovely with the blue china! Plus I have a yellow Gerbera that blossomed yesterday, and a red one is on the way! I'll buy an orange one with the orchids for the cake decoration, and I'll make a nice arrangement at the center of the table... three gerberas at the base, greenery that flows on the table and one tall orchid stalk in the middle for some height.
I'm really amazed at how cheap the whole thing will be, really... vegetarian banquets are cheaper that's for sure! 7 courses, plus the appetizers, and I bet it will be only around 60$... for 6 people!!!! Tonight, I'll buy the groceries and I'll make the green apple sorbet. And tomorrow, I'll do most of the cooking, some cleaning... DH will help of course!

But tomorrow morning, meditation at 10am!

One of my guest wrote me yesterday... ouch; her bf dumped her, and she never saw it coming. Come on; he accepted our invitation on MONDAY and he leaves her on Wednesday?!?!?! Hey buddy, send the right signals! I don't know the details, but my friend is quite devastated. Poor thing...
Okay ladies, gotta run! Some recipes to copy before my first patient of the day shows up!
Hugs to all!!!
