I am a little perturbed this am. I ordered the doppler on Wed and I picked that company because they were suppose to ship it out that day, well I got an e-mail last night saying they didnt ship it out until yesterday so now I am not going to get it until Monday and I was really wanting it today. Aaarrrhhh. And to top it off I am having alot of cramps since yesterday. I PRAY that it is growing cramps, I also have been having them most of this morning.

On the up side I read that between week 11 & 12 the baby doubles in size. Goes from 1.5 inches at the beginning of week 11 and by the end of week 12 baby will be 3 inches, so maybe that is why I am cramping so much? I really hope so. Please pray for us...grow baby grow!!!!

I hope all is well with everyone. Dont mind my neurotic self today. I will be like this until I hear the little one is ok. Geese....

Ftg- I SO cant wait for the day I feel the little one moving around in there!!!!

Hello Ladies,

I hope everyone is well. Sorry I've been MIA, I just needed to get through my first tri-mester so I could feel at ease. I've been on this thread since 2001 and I've been through a lot of ups and downs with the ladies here...I thought it would be better for me to not have to read any sad stories. I'm a worry wart and I sincerely hurt with every the loss of everyone here when i'm threading constantly.

Well anyway I'm back! I'm been keeping up with everyone and I see there are a lot of twins and some hilarious questions and comments. I'm so happy to see everyone doing well in light of all that we've been through before and through-out this pregnancy.

Just a little update....lol I've had tons of u/s...I've seen my been a lot and my 1st tri was awful. No m/s, but I've felt completely crappy the entire time, but that has finally subsided. I've actually felt great since Tuesday and hopefully it will be smooth sailing from here on out.

I just have a few quick questions for everyone...first has anyone decided to find out or wait on determining the sex of the baby? Does anyone plan or hope to go med free for the delivery...twin mommies..I know you probably won't have a choice because of most likely c-section?

Hi Everyone

Dakota - Sorry you didn't get your doppler. You are not being nauratic, this is a great place to do the venting. I understand the pains that you are having. I have had them since about week 8. Wednesday they were so bad I could hardly move and then yesterday I had hardly any during work but a few when I came home. I almost always have a little bit. DR said it is just growing pains. Hope you are doing ok. Take care

Babysoft- Welcome back. We will be finding out what the baby is I can't be that patient. I also plan on getting as many drugs as they will allow. I have about a 0 pain tolerance and know I would really struggle.

cwrj - wtg on your scan. Sounds like everything looks good.

Jude - how are you feeling?

I am doing ok. I am off on Fridays so I get to rest a little from the rest of the week. I work 4 10's which we just finished our 2nd week and they are kicking my butt. I am usually really tired at night put I am up 3 times a night to pee!!!! And know my DH has decided to snore really bad over the last 2 nights. It has been so bad I have ended up on the couch!!! :?

But I am 11 weeks today almost to the magic number. I hope that I will start to feel a lot better in the next couple weeks.
Hope all is well and everyone has a great weekend.

I am with you Tarabel..on finding out what your having. I met this ob and she told me you could tell as early as 12 weeks. This was when we first met and she was trying getting me to come to her office and her patient. She is pregnant as well and she is a month and 1/2 ahead of me, but by the second week of July she knew what she was having! I was so excited thinking...great at 12 weeks I can know if this is a boy or girl! Well I went to her office the other day and it seems like I was visiting a completely different person! She says so you want to see your baby...I said...of course, I'm so ready to find out what I'm having (I was just 13 weeks) and she was like well we can't find out until at least 16 weeks. I just looked at her like she had 30 heads..I wanted to say, but you told me you could find out at 12....why the heck did you lie to me!! I just left it alone and was satisfied with seeing the baby. He/she had both legs open adn she still couldn't tell me anything. My next appointment is Sept 4...I'll be 16 weeks and then I'll finally find out what I'm having. I know this sounds strange because I'm been through so much to get here, but I wish I could fall asleep and wake up in February..lol!
As far as the medicine..I'm going in with my back and/or veins ready fo drugs!! I'm so pro NO PAIN!!

I guess it's a good thing you are working 10 hrs day....honeslty even if if were 8 hours you still be spending about the same amount of time getting ready...at least this way you get the long weekend! I feel you on having to get up and use the potty room at night...I've managed to hold off to once around 4 am...then at 7 again...what annoys me the most is going so much through-out the day!!

I hope all is well with everyone!!

Babysoft- I've heard many many times that you can tell at 12 weeks, but its not with certainty like ti would be at 18 or 20 weeks. I ahve an u/s at 12w4d and am really hoping that maybe we can say "I think we saw", but we'll see what happens.
I know exactly what you mean about waking up in Feb. I know that once I get big and can feel movement there will be nothing like it, but I just want this little one here now safe and sound. I want to know who it will look like, who's personality it will have and also hoping sleeps like a rock like daddy does!!! My DH can go to bed at 9pm and sleep until noon the next day!!

Bring the drugs on!!! Alot of people in my family have labor so fast that there is no time for drugs, I hope its not genetic!!! I get a paper cut and think I am going to die. All I got to say is if I follow in my moms foot steps and end up having to go all natural, there will be alot of F bombs dropping left and right.

Tara-Sorry you are feeling pain, but it does make me feel better knowing that it seems normal and is growing pains. I didnt sleep last night because they were so uncomfortable. I remember around 5 & 6 weeks they were horrible in the middle of the night, almost tears horrible like my hips were being ripped apart. I would love to work 4 10's!!! I used to have a job like that and I so miss it.

I've found a bunch of websites that offer free baby item samples if anyone is interested??? I'll post if so...

Happy Friday to everyone and hope you enjoy your weekend!!!

P.s....I talked to my vet today, she calls weekely to check on the sick dogs and I was telling her about my doppler frusteration and she said she used to use the one at work on her when she was preg. She said come on it!! Can you see me now...how hirlarious!!!! Laying on a doggie table while my vet used an animal doppler on me.

Babysoft-welcome back! So glad to hear all is going great and progressing well. Sorry about your experience with your OB! We are finding out the sex at our 20 wk u/s, and we can't wait!

Tarabel-You will feel better soon, hang in there! Glad you get your Fridays off!

Dakota-Sorry about your experience with the doppler company! How poopy! You will get your HB soon, and you will be once again calmed until your next u/s. Can't wait to hear your good news on that too!

Had to pass out yesterday afternoon. It seems I can now go every other day without sleeping in the day, unless I overdo it with chores, gardening, etc. Well, the weekend is here and its going to be hot (I have no tolerance for excessive heat since I became preggers), so I'll have some extra nap time this weekend!

Have a relaxing time ladies!

cwrj00 - I'm so happy to hear your scan went well, that is great news! That is so funny he/she had their hand on their head, how cute is that! We go in for our scan on the 26th and I'm a bit nervous, due to my age, but it'll be one more check box and we'll move on.

Dakota - I totally understand about being irritated, you just want people to do what they say they're going to do! I hope you get it first thing on Monday and you get to hear your little beans HB and fast!! :) DH and I have talked about renting one, but I haven't made up my mind yet. I feel like I'm so paranoid all the time (and DH is even worse), so I worry that it'll make me even more so if I don't hear anything.

Babysoft - Welcome back, I'm so happy to hear you've made it to the 2nd trimester. DH and I haven't decided whether or not we'll find out the sex, we're both torn. I'm leaning more towards finding out, but he seems to want to wait..we'll see what happens. Oh and I definitely do not plan on going med-free for the delivery. I have several friends that go the whole natural route, but that's just not for me. My last girlfriend went totally natural in a delivery center..they had to rush her by ambulance and then ended up doing an emergency c-section, with absolutely NO MEDICATION! I could not imagine going through that with no drugs, so I say bring them on :)

Tarabeltwo - Congrats on making it to 11 weeks, you're almost there!! Glad to hear you get a 3 day weekend, so be sure and take care of yourself since you're working so hard the other 4 days.

My all day morning sickness has gone away, but I still feel horrible after I eat anything, like a huge rock is in my stomach and horrible indigestion. Oh well, the things we do for these wonderful miracles huh :) I've also had some slight cramping way down low under my belly, wonder if it's growing pains? We get to meet our OB for the first time next Tuesday, so hoping she brings out the doppler. I haven't seen/heard my little one since last Thursday and it feels like forever. This whole not knowing how thigns are going could drive a person insane!

Hi Everyone,

Sorry that I have not posted much, I feel obligated to keep our over 40 crowd alive so I mostly posted my progress there. I do, however, read everyone's progress here and normally feel the ups and downs and worries of everyone. But it is part of being pg and nothing more that I can add.

The bottom line for me is M/S does not seem to leave me at all, I throw up whenever I drink milk in the morning. For the rest of the meals, I just force myself eat slooooowly to prevent any triggers...

We did first tri ultrascreening and my probability of having genetic defects from 1/32 to 1/500. So, I decided to enjoy my pg now.

Dakata,

I also ordered a rental doppler from "dynamic dopplers", i don't record which company that you get it from, but mine is on the way to my house. My DH said I was crazy, but I know I am going crazy if I don't get one, so, I do what makes me calm.

Babysoft,

Congrats for passing the first tri... and glad that you are doing so well and happy for you to see the little baby waving at you!

children - I'm so sorry to hear how sick you've been and I really hope it goes away soon!! Great news on your first tri ultrascreening, enjoy this pregnancy.

I have a question for those with belly cramping. I have mild cramping (can't tell if it's a pulling feeling) really low on my belly, almost feels like I've done a couple hundred crunches. Does anyone else feel like this, is this normal?

Angram

My cramping usually very low on either the left or right side and feels like pulling or I get quick stabbing pains. Doc thought that they were growing pains. He also said don't be concerned unless there is bleeding.

Try laying down they should ease or go away!
Good Luck

Hi Angram,

I too have the cramping in the lower part ofmy stomach....I told my ob about it, but to be honest I feel it most often when I am really constipated. When I first felt it I was worried and scared, but I soon realized that if there isn't any bleeding there is probably nothing to worry about. I have actually started to feel is quite frequently....at least twice a week. I really don't think it's anything to be concerned about, but I'm glad to read it's probably my bean growing!! I can't wait until Sept. 4...I'll find out what I'm having..these days are passing so SLOW!! Hello February where are you?

Hey all,

Babysoft - hi! Glad you are in your 2nd trimester and feeling much better. As for the sex of the babies - as soon as is possible, yes! For meds, er, yes too! I want to find out about the options - I'm not dead set on an epidural, but definitely in the hospital, and not drug free!! I don't know if I have to have an epidural because of a maybe c-section - is that what happens?

Dakota - oh, how frustrating to have to wait for your doppler! I hope it comes early on Monday and you get to hear the HB. How many weeks is the earliest you can hear it with a rented doppler? I think I will order one too, I can't stand this not seeing/knowing what is going on.

Tara - yay for 11 weeks! Now you are on ur way to 12. I am with you on DH snoring - I feel bad for elbowing him so much but omg it is so annoying! Then I just get off to sleep, have to wake up again to pee, and then he's snoring again. I was seriously considering the couch too!

crwj - so glad your scan went well. The odds they gave you for downs are very resassuring too, you must be able to really relax now. I hope the puking goes away very soon!

Angram - glad that you are feeling better without the m/s. Good luck with your OB on Tuesday - I bet they;ll do an U/S and you get to see ur bean again.

Well, I am ticked off with my OB, I called Friday to say I still had the diarrhea, and she called back about 6 hours later (to be fair she was called away for an emergency) to say that she would refer me to gastroenterology. They then called to say the appt. wouldn't be until next Friday! I was gutted as really all I wanted was to go to a lab and do a pooper scooper so they could test and see if I have some infection that might harm the babies as that's what I'm worrying about now. I planned to go to my GP today, but DUH I thought they were open till 6 on Sat and it turns out they close at 2, so when I called they were already closed. I will go on Monday to the GP I think. I have been super tired and nauseous and poopy, so I'm hoping everything is okay. I can't wait for another 19 days for a scan, aaahhhh!! I am so worrying that something is wrong.

On a positive note (sorry for the rant), I just read Belly Laughs by Jenny McCarthy, and it was hilarious!! I think everyone here would appreciate the humor!
Okay, well I seem to have written my own book here, so bye for now!

Hi Jude,

So sorry to hear you're still having the bathroom problem...I noticed you've had it for a while now. I'd be ticked off at my ob as well, but sometimes I forget that their specialty is only pregnancy and our vajajay's! I'm surprised she hasn't recommended anything for you. I have a list of things that are preggors safe for diarrhea, but it does say that if it persists for more than 24 hours than don't take it! As far as the babies I'm sure everything is fine just make sure to keep yourself hydrated. When I wasn't able to eat, my ob told me the most important thing now is to make sure to drink at least 64 oz everyday. Not sure how that is just as good as food, but I guess they know best.

I hope you get an earlier appointment...maybe you should call back and really put some emphasis on emergency...or ask for a cancellation list..sometimes it helps...I hope you feel better soon!

Jude-sorry you haven't gotten rid of that. Yeah, I would just think dehydration would be your nemesis right now. If you had a passing virus, you would have also thought it would have righted itself by now. I would also push to get in quicker, and stress that you are pregnant, and worried about your little ones.

angram-Yes, I started having side stretching feelings on my stomach muscles about wk 12. I think things have to move around inside, and stretching out will occur for the rest of our pregnancies. This is different from when I feel uterine stretching, which is like regular cramping. That happens about once per week. Its a weird feeling, but I also feel like as long as it happens, keep telling your babe to grow, GROW! I'm glad your m/s is subsiding!

You ladies are so lucky to get scans quicker than end of Sept! I may look into the rented doppler, however I have OB appts that she checks with the doppler anyways twice before that time. So...patience is once again tested!
