TooBee, I can not believe your RE told you these drugs can't cause bloating, etc.... It's called OHSS and a major side effect of the meds!! And you have several of the symptoms. Bloated, decreased urinary production and I'm assuming weight gain! I am concerned that you have this condition and if I were you I would again tell the dr all of the symptoms you're experiencing. Switch to Gatorade instead of water. You need the electrolytes and weigh yourself every day. Call your doc if you experience nausea/vomiting or shortness of breath as these are more severe symptoms of OHSS. I don't mean to scare you, but it's something that needs to be monitored closely.
I am an infertility nurse and I work in a major IVF facility. I am willing to answer questions and give guidance, however, since I am not treating you, only your physician can give you the most accurate information.

Thak you so much for your concern. Kuckily the girls and this forum told me wht to do. Well to his defense I guess bloating and water retention are very differant. He said water retention is not a side effect of the drugs. However loopy lupron wont let me remember the conversation at this point o wht he exactly said or I said. But I dont know if he heard me right or what. But I do have both water retnetion and bloating, and if wasnt for this board I would be lost. I started drinking gatorade right away because I was miserable. I have also limited my salt intake and have also been eating watermellon. One night, it kept me up all night and I defintely took in allot more fluid then I peed out. Today is the first day in 3 days I feel some relief as it seem my symptoms are more under cntrol. Maybe something I ate wigged me out. My husband is watching me closely, and he and I will be very upset if after E/R i experience any OHSS. And there will be hell to pay since I mentioned my issues

Be especially attentive to these symptoms after you trigger, and report everything to your clinic.

FSH causes a little VEGF production, but hCG increases causes more. VEGF is the hormone that causes vascular hyperpermeability, allowing fluid to leave the bloodstream and enter the abdomen (or even the lung space) thus causing OHSS.
Avoid IVF and surrogacy in Ukraine. Ukrainian centers pay shills to post here under numerous sock accounts pretending to be patients in Ukraine. Centers using such deceptive advertising cannot be trusted and should be avoided.
