Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We had a busy weekend since we had people with new baby to visit on the top of usual weekend activities. With a little toddler, time flies by quickly.
ftg,
The best treatment for a heartburn for me is prilosec-otc. I had it during last pg and it worked very well. I am having some heartburn now but it is much milder so I have not started to take it. Last time I had to take it almost everyday since the end of second trimester until delivery. My ob said it does not matter if I take it more than 14 days.
Yes, I am one of the earliest one who is expecting among us and I started to feel baby movements now if I look for them, but they are not reliable yet, I still use Doppler to listen to her/his heart every night.
Rubylee,
I am so sorry that you have to give up your store, it is so hard to let go of something you love. But with two babies on the way, it is wise to stop for the time being.
All others here, continue to enjoy your pg journey!

Thanks Children and everyone for the advice on the heartburn. I am feeling better today. I couldn't believe how uncomfortable that was!
Sonu - HI! Hope all is well for you.
Dakota - Can't wait to hear you in-laws reaction. This will be fun because you are so far along now there is something to really see.
Angram - How is your burn.
The acne has hit me like a ton of bricks. My face feels like an oil slick most of the time and my forehead, chin, chest and neck are disgusting. One of my friends said to get some of the unused toilet seat covers and dap my skin and it is supposed to help. Her midwife told her about that one.
FTG - My nipples have changed too. The color is the same but they look like cones sticking straight out! I have also noticed little veins starting to poke out on my legs. Don't seem to get as exhausted anymore but everyone once in awhile I will still get to a point where I am starving and need to eat now. When I was about 8 weeks we were at the mall and I went to Victorias Secret for kicks to get measured and I was a 38DD. I usually a 38 c/d depending on bra. I almost fell over and I know they have grown more. Lord help me when my milk comes in!
Have a good day everyone. Hope I didn't miss anyone but I do love to read your messages.
Children- I am so jealous that you can feel things already, but of course you are a good 4 weeks ahead of me. I so hope I can feel movement in the next 3-4 weeks. I hear there is nothing like it!!!
I am trying to pace myself with the doppler. How often do you use yours? I am trying to do every 2-3 days, but I get where I miss the sound and want to hear it.
Ftg-It's nice to compare things, sometimes the books just don't tell you everything. I know that alot of my books say you wont get things or feel feels until I a certain time and I've noticed that between the 11.5-13 week time frame I got hit hard with lots of aches and pains. My sciatic really made itself known and in my books it says 3rd trimester. Yeah!! You are feeling movement too. Oh, I cant wait!!!
I've always had small boobs, size B is a little baggy, but now they are really tight and I have major "dunlop" going on the top of the cup.
Tara- I feel ya on the acne. My neck is horrible!! My sister was telling me about the toilet seat covers a while ago, she saw something on Oprah or something like that about it.
Well my dad flipped out!!! He was SO excited. He said "are you kidding me" about 5 times. It was so funny. My in-laws cried. We are just now sending the rest of the family the info today since the main people got the news yesterday. Its fun today because its my b-day so when I've been getting the b-day calls I have been informing people. Not only that but I get a free lunch today and TWO chocolate cakes!!! Whoohoo!!
My Granny doesnt knwo yet, her mail runs at 10:30 and its 10:25, so my phone should be ringing shortly!! This is So much fun!!!
We also just found out that DH's cousin's wife is expecting. So my SIL is one week behind me and cousin is 2 weeks behind her. Lots of babies born in the family at once!!! Its going to make it so nice for our child when we go to family functions. I was so worried because everyone our age in the family had their kids 10 years ago and the youngest is my niece and she is 5 in Oct, but now we'll ahve a group of babies!!!
Sorry to go on and on.
I hope everyone is doing good. Its been really quite here. I miss everyones stories!!!! Please come back
Well hello again everyone! I think I am finally feeling good again except the throwing up at night sometimes from my acid reflux. I have tried to keep up with everyone and see how things are going. I can't believe we are entering our second trimester already! It is going by fast for me!
I don't know about anyone else but my gag reflux is so sensitive. I can barely take a pill and sometimes I throw up doing that but the funniest thing that has happened to me is one morning I was up early getting ready to leave for the weekend and I sneezed and I said to my dh that man sneezing really gets my gag reflux and after that I had to run to bathroom and throw up. We had a great laugh that morning because who would of thought sneezing would make you do that!!!!
We are looking into to getting a doppler because I want to be able to hear the babies whenever I want.
So glad everyone is doing good and can't wait to see what everyone is having. We are not finding out and it is going to be so hard!!

Sorry that I mixed you two, but acid reflux if so common and everyone may experience it sooner or later during their pg.
crogers,
Welcome back and glad to know that you are progressing well. I have terrible M.S. also and it still has not gone away at 17 weeks! However, I do have second tri feelings also, such as I have much more energy than the first tri and I at lease eat respectable amount of food and can keep it down, except that I still feel nauseated each meal.
I had my Doppler from dynamicdoppler.com. The standard model is simple to use. It cost only $20/mon if you rent it more than 2m.
Dakota,
Tomorrow will be my b'day but I don't welcome this day anymore ever since my 40th, boy, I remember that black day well, I was not happy at all since I was still a "modern slave" back then with no kids, no husband (had a boyfriend who is now the DH, though). About the baby movement, don't go crazy over it if you have not found any at 16 weeks, since it is unreliable at this stage (books say that people only can feel it reliably from 24 weeks on). However, for second pg, you can feel it earlier, but still, it does not exist often enough to count. About the doppler use, I do it every night and each time for less than 10 sec - I don't count the hb, just listen to its existence.
I am very amused (and jealous, of course) by how much fun you are having to make pg announcement to your folks. All I got from mine was: you are so brave, are you sure you want to do this again at this age? Some of the less conservative relatives would say, do tell your story to so and so to encourage her, look, you are already ahead of her - I just want a simple "congratulations" from them, but I got none. Apparently, I have them all worried about me over my pg. See, what age can do to a person?
Take care, everyone.

Hi ladies boy I have a lot of catching up to do. I have not read all the latest post so I have to back track a bit. I wanted to say hello and let you all know I am back from vacation at the in-laws. It was OK. It was vacation for my DH rather then me but hey I was not a work so it was relaxing. We did have moments of fun and my MIL behaved most of the time. I only got into it with her once cuz she would not leave me alone. She keep huvering over me like I had no legs or arms.
Anyways all in all it was a nice time. I also wanted to share that I have a Dr. appt yesterday and I got to see the babies. SOOO cute. the one on the right which we think is a girl was sucking her thumb and kicking her sib in the back. The one on the left was lying with his/her harm behind his/her head slepping but you keep seeing the baby move everytime the on the right would kick. It was cute sib fighting already.
We have our appt with the perinatologist Mond Sept 8th so we will definilty findout them the sexes. But we are pretty sure baby on the right is a girl. I mean hey 50/50 chance HAHAHHA.
Well I feel fine I have a bit of upper back pain from my heavy and LARGE boobs but otherwise I definitly look pg now. I have gained 10 pounds which the Dr. said is not bad. Well after I read up I will bealbe to do more personals. I do hope everyone is well and happy.
Hope to here more on what everyone is having soon!!!!
Gennessa
Hi Ladies
Thanks for the well wished on the store. I am sure it is the right decision, it just takes some getting used to. I am announcing on 9/2 and will have some pretty bummed customers.
Everything else it going good. I was doing great on the energy then all of the sudden hit another phase. Yesterday I was more tired than I was at the beginning, I went to bed at 9 and slept until 7:30. Phew, those babies must be kicking it up a notch.
Tara - my good friend has heartburn something fierce too. She takes pepcid but has also had to cut down the size of her meals to about 10 small meals a day. She also props up her upper body when she is falling asleep.
dakota - sounds like telling the family is a blast. It is so much fun! Glad the cramping is lightening up. I too have some crazy areolas, big and dark. DH keeps saying check those things out!
Gennessa - glad MIL wasn't too bad. Does she have a daughter? I am thinking she must not. I am glad you got some time away from work though. Sounds like the babies are doing good. And you get to see them again on the 8th? yay, not bad.
Children - I am still having ms too. what is up with that? I thought it was supposed to be over. All for a good cause I guess.
I'll let you guys know how the U/S goes today. I am counting down the minutes until I get to see those little 'avacadoes' in there!
Me 33 DH 36
TESE/ICSI
TTC almost 2 years
U/S 6/17 IT'S TWIN GIRLS!!

Children- Congratulations on your pregnancy from all of us!!! And Happy Birthday at the same time.
Dakota- Happy Belated Birthday! I am jealous too that you are having such a good time informing everyone. I wish I had that chance again and again. It is one of the most pleasant news one can have (especially one of us!)
Genessa- Sept is just around the corner. It would be so exciting to know the sex already. I have to wait till like the end of Sept I was always wondering that if you have multiple pregnancy how do they recognize which baby is which on each ultrasound. I was imagining that they move around, but I guess not..." The baby on the right" will always be "the baby on the right", right?
Rubylee- good luck on your U/S. I want/need one so bad! I am starting to freak out. I mean my belly is growing, but I wish I could hear or feel something. My friend tried a stetoscope on me but she could not hear the HB, only my guts were making sounds. I know that at 18-20 weeks you can use a stetoscope to hear HB but I was so hoping to hear it sooner. But...
...I am 16 weeks and 3 days and woke up this morning with the weird feeling in my stomach. Like a muscle cramp. It is hard to describe. It might have been a bowel movement but I prefer to think that it was the FIRST KICK!!! I am not sure excited as I am not sure if it was it, but I am starting to go insane and the kick keeps me sane.
Better get back to work. My school semester started this week too. Not fun.
Crogers- I can't brush my teeth!! Its horrible!! I gag the whole time, DH says its very dramatic. Sometimes I will even get sick in the sink. I hear having horrible gag reflexes is normal.
Tara- Thanks for the wishes!
Children- Sorry about your b-day memories. We've also gotten not so nice, or at least not as excited responses for two family members. One, "oh thats nice" while walking away, the other" after all of this time". O'well, all the other responses make up for it!!
Genn- Glad to hear your trip to the inlaws went well enough and your mil was not so bad. Your u/s sounds SO cute!! Too bad you didnt get it on video.
Rubylee- I cant wait to hear how your u/s went today. Do you think you'll find out the twins gender today?
unexplained- We'll just say it was a kick That would be so cool!!
Well I called and left a message for the nurse to call me back about the spoiled mayo. Stupid me started looking it up on the internet and then started to freak me out even more, so I just figured best to call the nurse.
I am going straight home and listening to the HB!!
Everyone offically knows!! Whoohoo. My dad is still cracking me up (this will be his first grandbaby). He took the u/s pic to show everyone yesterday. To old family friends and everything. He just cant stop!! My sister is already starting to plan my shower. Plus, our phone has been ringing off the hook from the ones that at finding out from word. Its been so much fun!! We've got lots routin for a boy. I dont care, I just want a healthy baby, but I told everyone when we find out if we are having a bbq or a tea party I'll let them all know right away.
I would love to go home and take a nap. I had so much energy yesterday, but today, all day I have been really tired.
I hope everyone is doing well, and thanks to all for the b-day wishes!!
I've officially decided to stop blogging! as hard as it will be I truly think it's the right thing to do. I started child birth classes today and it's a birthing class for women who have experienced infertility, the first suggestion was no blogging! Although I've been thinking the same thing and took a leave before, I didn't realize how much it could have an impact on me! The Midwife stated that although it can be helpful to experience this wonderful event with women who are or have gone through the same thing, most of the time it can cause unneccessary stress during pregnancy. I agree to certain extent...I love sharing my experiences with everyone and hearing about everyone elses, but sometimes it does weigh on my when I hear bad news! I think I may just be too emotional! Either way I have often times worried a lot more about my own pregnancy after hearing about something that has happened to one of the women on the forum.
I hope everyone has a GREAT experience, labor and wonderful loving healthy beautiful babies on February! All the best and I will truly miss everyone...it's been 7 years for me on this board!!
babysoft-Good luck to you, and I know it will continiue. I am sure you have helped many women over time, and you have been helped as well. You need to do what is best for you!
Dakota & children-happy bday as well. What a great way to celebrate, you totally hit it on the head, and what a great memory for this one!
crogers-I gag when I brush my tongue anywhere near the back of my mouth. Pretty tough! It hasn't gone away, but I'll have to say I have been a pill wimp for some years, even taking chewable pre-natals for the last 1.5 yrs...
Rubylee-how was your u/s?
My bb's are really hurting. Mostly the nipples/areolas a couple of you have mentioned, but I know they are growing again. I guess I made a good call only buying 1 bra with the larger cup...on to the next soon! I also just really started to itch on my upper and outer belly. The normal pattern of feeling stretched about every 3-4 days keeps me on my toes.
It seems like forever until 9/26 when we'll have 20 wk u/s and find out if its boy or girl. I'm excited to tell everyone though.
If anyone is interested or they've found their own, I signed up to get a weekly email where I'm at in the pregnancy: http://www.babycenter.com/. It can be reassuring if you want to know week by week what you might expect to feel. Books are great and we do read ours, but sometimes this has more/different info, plus a picture of what your baby may look like in the womb.
Hi ladies - it's been a few days since I've been on and it looks like you've all been quite busy. Work has been crazy for me this week and when I get home I just want to sleep...which is where I'm heading next I'll write personals later, but wanted to share that my 12 week ultrasound and last appt with RE went great. Baby was moving all about, so much we had a hard time tracking on the screen. We got some great shots though! We then had our first tri-screening on Tuesday and that also went well. We won't know all of the results for a week or so, but the ultrasound measurements were great, so that's a good start. Baby was napping at first and then the doc came in to do more images and asked how many DP's I had before arriving Baby was waving and everything, it was awesome! Well I'm off for a quick nap, but I'll log on again soon and catch up with everyone.
