The book down my trousers was for getting told off - being spanked - how many willies have you seen shaped like a book - if I wanted to do that would have used a salami or something!
And your Dh told me you were taking piccies of the bugaboos so don't go all superior on us

Aw come on

I am not the only person to put a cushion up my jumper am I??

I am defo not scary - I leave that to Johnny Rotten, he is horried!

I have to get a Bugaboo. My scan is less than a week away now, I feel like I've been waiting a life time. Then I can buy all the things I have been dreaming of.

Love Dagny xx

Dagny you are not scary
A woman where a used to live used to go round stealing baby items out of their prams etc so she could take them home and sniff them - now that is sad - she is welcome to the first filled nappies.
You getting a bugaboo - they don't photograph well - must be shy as not had a piccie of you yet NIK!!!!
Not long to wait until your shopping frenzy. My mum is chomping at the bit to go - told her have to wait until after 20 week scan but might get some bits after the 16/17 week one is she is good and the scan is ok!
DH's parents asked if they could get us something substantial and I said if I had known they could have bought my new car which would not have meant yet another loan!
Love to you both

Hi

Yeah my mum arrived yesterday - hopefully with her credit card - tee hee and she wants to get out there and get stuff too.

Our scan room is going to be a bit crowded. I hope they let her in. I have a student midwife following my progress as well and she is coming too along with DH and of course ME! Oh and the scan woman whatever they call themselves these days. I will bring some cocktail sausages and party hats as it will be a bit of a event

I am surprised Nik hasn't put Arf and Jez in the prams yet whilst wheeling them round the house. I can picture it now.

D  gny

I had to laugh at that remark about Arf and Jez but very quietly! Nik will be sending us over the high jump when she gets back on. do you think they might fit - perhaps she could get a clip that JAckie was talking about and clip all the buggies together and have Arthur and Jeremy in one and the twins in another - or could mix and match - the possibilities are endless!
As for your scan - course they will let you in - I am always too nervous to have too many people after last time...... PArty hats is good but don't forget those whistle things and some nice paper hats - sure Nik has some good ideas - she is full of good ideas on these sorts of things (creep creep!) The scan bods are called sonographers or radiographers or in my case at my 20 week scan senior consultants as they do not let mere mortals near me on these high risk 20 week scans in my case - oh deep joy and it is on April fools day - yikes - have the 16/17 wk one to worry about first though - nearly 3 weeks for that - it is endless

I'll be glad when you two get your scans out of the way, so you can both relax a bit more and enjoy it......it will soon be over!!

Dagny you HAVE to get a bugaboo, they are just the coolest thing on four wheels!!!

I've upset all the parents by buying everything and telling them to just buy nice clothes or something special rather than feeling they have to buy 'something substantial'! What is it with parents and wanting to buy the first pushchair for chuffs sake. I'm sure its only to score points with each other!

Well tough - we've bought all three pushchairs (just ordered the MB in navy today!!!) and they will have to settle for buying a babygro. I hope somebody buys the poor kids some clothes cos we haven't bought them any!!!

Dagny what day do you go for your scan? Must write it in my diary so I dont' forget!! I've got Tracey's written in there and mine......!!

Glad you are both ok

Good Morning :D

I would laugh so much if you put the dogs in the prams, Nik. I really do want to get a Bugaboo. They look so jazzy. None of our family have offered to buy us anything substantial. Maybe we haven't dropped enough hints.

I'll be glad when my scan is out the way. It hangs over me like a weight. I keep thinking of possible worst case senarios and DH is getting a bit fed up with me - For your diary -My scan is on Thursday 19th @ 3.15pm.

Tracey, I can't believe your scan is on April Fools day! I suppose it's better than having the baby born on that day. Sorry for anyone with babies born then, I don't mean to offend.

I am still desparate to know what we are having but just don't think I can bring myself to find out. It's such a decision. I will have to be strong and not ask. :?

Are any of you doing the American thing and having a 'Baby Shower'? Nik, you should have one and tell people to buy clothes. You will defo get them kitted out that way.

Hope you had a good Valentines Day.

Love Dagny xx  BTW my putting the wink in between my name on my last post was a typo but it does look cool - D  gny x

hi dagny

Hurrah scan is this week!!! You'll feel much more relaxed once this is out of the way and you can start test-driving prams and things - yippeee....

I'd have a Baby Shower (any excuse for a party!!) What do you have to do??? Maybe we should have a Cyber Shower - or am I being silly???

Dagny - did you get a present for Valentines Day? I got a card but NO present!!!! Fortunately I had had the foresight to know my husband well enough to realise that he wouldn't buy me anything so I bought myself lots of flowers instead!!! I have to say I do think it is total commercial nonsense and would rather receive a bunch of flowers for no reason on a 'normal' day rather than some overpriced dead roses!!!

I did buy him some choccies from Thorntons (but this was cos I knew I would get to eat half of them!!)

Hope you all had a lovely weekend.

drop some more hints - mind you Nikola will tell you in her case it has just caused headaches and arguments over who gets what and then sulks when certain people don't like cot beds - would prefer cots - it has caused her no end of headaches in certain areas. We already have a cot and stuff for Oliver which we decided to keep - phew. My parents are quite laid back and said let DH's get what they want and they will carry on after that and get us things - I mean with baby bjorns at around £70 and needing two - I call that reasonably substantial but you know parents........
Nik put us down for some clothes ! - you will get loads anyway I am sure.
I had the new Joss Stone cd for V day and a card - got him a book - not that romantic but I wanted to read it too - relocating to Spain and setting up an Orange farm - or something like that!
Catch you both later - glad you are well

What a good idea - I'll check out ebay for bugaboos! Guess what I bid for some paddington bear photo album (for a laugh) it was only 80p and it was just for me to practice. I forgot about it and then dh got an email saying his bid was successful.......woops! Got told off!

Did I tell you we have ordered our MB from John Lewis - they price matched kiddicare for us. Bargain. 8 weeks delivery so lets hope they don't come too soon!!

Right I'm off for some lunch - I'm starving!

We are either going to get our MB from kiddicare or JL - depends on what we decide - more or less there with it but DH wants to test drive them all and is waiting for the 20 week scan bless him so will get a shift on then.
Thought might then get a couple of buggies 2nd hand then - one each so we can lump them around seperately in those - I will keep an eye on ebay.
That is so funny about the album - I think DH will probably reckon you have enough practice - I am sure I will get the blame somewhere along the line - daft him for putting on easy passwords - better not say too much or he might change it.
Hope you had a yummy lunch - I am back on the bagels - couldn't get them anywhere the last couple of weeks - kept selling out.

I had beans on toast for lunch yesterday. M&S sell the BESTEST bagels ever. Lots of different flavours too.

I didn't feel too well yesterday. Very tired and a bit sick. So I'm going to take things a bit easier this week. I think I'm maybe overdoing things (please don't laugh!!)

Our new wretched dog walker still hasn't phoned to agree when she can start so I'm still walking my boys - albeit very slowly these days.

I'm not sleeping very well, I can't get comfortable and keep waking up with really bad cramp! Sunday night it was so bad I jumped (not easy!) out of bed and had to walk around. I had pins and needles and cramp in my hand, arm and leg, all down one side. I must have been laying funny.

Cos you are only supposed to lie on your left side (so babies get the blood flow) I think all the weight on one side must be giving me cramp! I feel sorry for dh, he can't be getting much sleep either. He has been very sweet about it and says its just nature preparing us for what is in store!!!!

Bless.

Its raining here today - boo. Once it stops I'm taking the boys out and then I'm going to go and look for some paint samples to decide on a colour scheme for the temporary nursery......

Hope your day is as eventful.

Nik

I am not happy about this dog walking and I think you hve been overdoing it - I am happy to cook and bring somehting up on Sat - let me know - it really is not a problem. I hope she confirms soon as it really is all too much for you. Nursery sample paints sounds fun.I have to take my car in today to Grantham to get the tyre replaced - it has no rubber on it and then in to Stamford on thursday to have breaks etc checked before we come to you.
Try and take it easy and if there is anything you need....

I just sent you an email re the weekend - you will NOT bring anything! I have dh well trained he will do everything and be hostess with the mostess (he does draw the line at wearing a pinny!!) I'll apologise now (although I think he has done already to you) for his mood if Leeds have their annual @rse spanking by Man Utd on Saturday.....he'll be grumpy cos he got up early drove over to Manchester, watched Leeds play sh!t and then drove home again......be warned!!

I'm hoping to sort the dog walker out this week. I don't really mind walking them, they are both good and we just take our time. I just feel really tired now for the rest of the day, whereas I've been feeling like I could climb Ilkley Moor 10 times over......maybe not really!

You make me laugh with all your preparations for your weekend away....its only an hour and a half away - you make it sound like an epic journey that will take about 8 hours!!! We drive to dh's parents and back in the same day!

Very excited to see you!!!!!
