Just got the call about my 3rd beta results! 5,552, which they said was good. I go in next week for my first ultrasound and will do one a week for the next three weeks. I'm waiting to schedule it to see if my DH will be able to be there for it. Does everyone else go back for so many ultrasounds? It's great because obviously takes away some of the worry, but I was surprised.

Anyhoo, I'm feeling good and happy today! Yay!

Hope everyone is doing well!

Hi Everyone

Anyone else really tired? I went to bed at 10:30 last night at got up at 7 and I have been tired all day.

Stacy- Awesome 3rd beta. How many days past ovulation are you now.

Smiles2IVF- Sorry you lost one of the babies. That is great you heard the great heartbeat. I can't wait to hear my baby(ies) heartbeats.

I'd write more but I am tired and need to relax before making dinner. My turn to cook tonight since the DH needs to mow the lawn.

AmandaM - I am 24dpo...and I too am SOOOOOO tired as well! I didn't feel the super tired thing until last night....and here I am again exhausted quite early again.

I'm pretty happy that my SIL is inducing next Thursday if she doesn't have the baby before then. My parents are going to come in the following weekend, so they are now coming in a day early so my mom can go with me to my first Ultrasound since DH will be out of town. I had several friends offer to come, but I think it's kind of a neat thing for my mom and I to share.

Goodnight!

Morning ladies,

First things first!

Kerpupples!!!!!!!
I'M SO HAPPY to find you here! YAY!!!!! Congratulations my sweet, I'm so happy you're pregnant! That's fantastic news!!!! How are you feeling?

smiles,
Welcome!!! So glad you joined us! The more, the merrier! I'm so sorry one of the embies didn't make it... but nature usually manages things well... that heartbeat is an amazing thing to see!!! Congratulations! As for the sex, I've read it's better to do an ultrasound between week 18 and 26. But the baby must cooperate! ;)

Stacy,
Fantastic beta!!! Congrats!!! Do you know the date of your ultrasound? And your due date? Just so I can update the list... So glad you're feeling better!

Amanda,
Like I wrote before, the tiredness was incredibly difficult during weeks 5, 6 and 7. I'm completing week 8 now and it's a bit better. BUT I've made slight changes to my schedule, and I arrive to work a tad later. It's really the best time to claim your princess status. I was often unable to cook dinner, either because of the nausea, or because of the exhaustion. I don't remember the last time I emptied the dishwasher or did the dishes. It's normal, and my DH understands it's not a fancy. It's temporary. I've read it's the progesterone that gives you so much fatigue. And given that they FLOOD us with hormones, it's not surprising we're completely fried all the time! :D

Nothing much to report on my side. Gotta update that list and get working!!! Looking forward to the evening; we have a dog trainer coming to our house for our two furbabies. It will be fun to start training them! And ourselves, lol!

Hugs,

Sophie xxox

Thanks Sophie! BTW my name is Amy if you want to make it more personal next time you update the list. :) And thanks for asking, I'm feeling good except for the bloat and fatigue that comes with my high progesterone level.

Hope all is well with the rest of you!

Amy

Good morning ladies,

Sorry I've been missing in action. Didn't have the best day yesterday as my intestines were totally out of whack. The nice little bloated belly I had is now almost gone. I had grown very attached to it even though I know it was mostly from bloating.
I'm feeling better today, although worried that something might be wrong. I didn't take my prenatal this morning as it has a stool softener and sure don't need any more help in that department!

Amy and Smiles~ Glad you joined us and welcome!! Good to see some more familiar faces!

Smiles~ I'm sorry that one of the embies didn't make it and I wish you the best for the next 7 1/2 months!

Stacy~ How is the tiredness going? I get sleepy in the morning after my breakfast and often take a 1 hr nap! Isn't that crazy! And yesterday took another nap in the afternoon!
Did your SIL have her baby? Have you gone to see them?
I'm glad your Mom will be able to go with you to have your US! A good moment to share together. I'm sorry DH won't be there but I know it must be hard for him as well not to be with you. The important part is that you will have support.

Amanda~ How are you doing, girl? I think you're having twins as well. I understand your concern about being 5ft tall and carrying twins. I think you will be just fine and the babies will find their spot. I don't think we realize yet how much our bodies have an ability to stretch to accommodate the babies.
Sorry your job is so boring but at least it's not stressful and that certainly is a positive thing.

Anie~ How are you feeling? How is the work situation? I hope you are able to kind of stay away from the staff member with whom you had an argument. That's why I enjoy working on my own so much. I have to work alongside other people and we all get along great but no one interferes with my job.

Stefanie~ You got me going with egg salad as well. Ate some yesterday and love it. I love eggs which ever way they are made. I ate scrambled eggs this morning and I hope it won't mess my tummy up. So far so good.

Sophie~ I hope you get some more patients real soon. Are you allowed to go and visit the patients...I'm talking about the ones that don't know you're available and talk with them and let them know you're available if need be. I really don't know what the protocol is and perhaps you just have to wait for a referral from the doctor. It would be like your evaluation questionnaire but they would get the human contact.
Otherwise, sounds like the pregnancy is moving right along.

I haven't been as hungry for the past couple of days and so that worries me a little. Although I still burp quite a bit. I wonder when that will stop. When it does, I'll probably worry about that too.
I can't wait to see my beanie(s) and know that we have strong heartbeats! Four more days to go. I'll be 6weeks 2days, so I may or may not see a heartbeat. I cross my fingers really hard.

I'm having company this weekend (arriving this morning) and I may not have too much time to write but I'll keep reading all your posts.
Have a wonderful weekend!! :D

Much love,

Val

I too am VERY tired. I am working from home and yesterday I got up at 7:30, worked for about an hour, and was so tired I went back to bed until 11:30.

I've also just not been feeling great overall. Kind of a dizziness every now and again and still cramping in my abdomen and back. Some stronger ones in my abdomen that worry me...Anyone else having cramping? Also nausea. I'm really hoping I don't end up with morning sickness, since I live in the city without a car so take public transportation. I just imagine me throwing up on the train...other people would love that! I guess maybe motivation to buy the car sooner rather than later?

My SIL still hasn't had the baby, so is inducing on Thursday if it doesn't come by then. So next weekend will be exciting with my family in town and seeing the new baby!

Actually, right now I'm thinking about napping again ;)

Enjoy your weekends! :D

Sophie - so funny. Without reading your post, I had two tomato sandwiches after my u/s on Thursday ! That was actually my second U/S and second time hearing hearbeats, which had increased nicely. I have now officially graduated from the clinic (i cried) and head to the OB monday morning.

PMApsy- they changed my due date to May 3 (my birthday) Or rather that was the doctor's predicition with 38 weeks being somewhere around 4/19. This indeed is the best birthday present ever. EVER!!!

Everyone take it easy. especially multiples people. I just have been reading about multiples and how gaining weight early for them is better. (helps prevent pre -term labor and other woes later) and also that if you have had IVF, and gain an extra 4-6 lbs in the 1st 20 weeks, that can also help lower miscarriage rates. This is all for multiples, but if anyone has more than one, I found a good book on the subject. Most other pregnancy books, just devote one page to it, and tell you you'll gain more weight.

Glad to be on here. Lately I have been thinking about the holidays, and how nice it will be to get to make our announcement to people around then. Last Christmas and Thanksgiving was small because we were paying for treatment, and my diagnosis was still fresh. I was so distraught last Christmas. amazing.

I'm just so grateful to be on this page.
